They first repaved our driveway over a year ago. After waiting a couple of weeks to be on it, we started parking our cars. ( vw Jetta and a ford van) after being on it for one hour I noticed they had sunk in. We moved the vehicles and waited another couple weeks to park. Anyways long story short when we started parking our cars on them they began leaving indents everywhere they sat. Well we called affordable paving to let them know. We were impressed they came out looked at it and ended up repaving it. Even admitting they knew they didn't have a suitable base for asphalt but had already ordered a truck and didn't want to turn it away. But it all went downhill from there. They obviously didn't learn from their mistakes because they didn't improve the base at all and the driveway is the exact same way! And now we can not get ahold of them and when we do Michelle says someone will be out to look at it but then we never hear back. We have been trying to get this straightened out for almost a year now. We understand that it is probably a base issue but you would think that they would make sure they have a compacted base before they put asphalt in it. Also I believe they used millings from old driveways as their base(which working construction I have never seen anybody use anything besides 2a modified stone) We went with them for their lower price but now we're paying for it. Paid $4,000 for a new asphalt driveway when in probably another year it will be in worse shape as our original.

Unprofessional & Unreliable. It is clear that Affordable does not value residential customers. Continue reading for details Bill arrived at my home much earlier than 9:00am, and I was not there. He spoke to my wife, who did not have all the information needed for the quote. During their conversation, the quote changed to simply resurfacing the existing driveway and doing some additional concrete work I had not requested. When I arrived at home at 8:45am I spoke to my wife and she shared the details of their conversation with me. I realized I would not receive the quotes I desired. Monday morning at 9:00am I called the company and left a message requesting that they call me back to discuss/confirm the details of the quote before they send it to me. I received no call back. Instead, I received an inaccurate quote via email at 5pm. The only items included in the quote was to resurface the existing driveway and to perform concrete work I had not asked for. Also, for a simply repair and resurface job, the quote was far higher than their competitors. Because Affordable Paving did not react to the voicemail I left on Monday, I decided to call back until I reached a live person. I called back several times during the week, but only reached the office voicemail, and not a live person. On the morning of Friday 5/13/16, I called again decided to leave a message explaining my disappointment in the quote I received, and asked for a call back as soon as possible. A few hours later I had not received a call back, so I decided to visit their office personally. I arrived sometime in the early afternoon. Bill and Tom were in the office. I explained that the quote was incorrect, and asked for a revised quote. I also explained to them that their quote was higher than any of the quotes I have received from their competitors. They asked me who I received other quotes from. When I told them that I had received quotes from Jim's Paving, Leacock Paving, Traditional Paving and J&J Asphalt, they laughed and scoffed. Their response was "Those are 'Nobody's'! What 'REAL' asphalt companies did you receive quotes from?!" They described these companies as "Gypsy" pavers. I also explained that I was waiting for responses from BR Kreider Paving, Martin Paving and Brooklawn Paving, but those companies would not be available for a few more weeks to give me an estimate. Bill and Tom went on to tell that those companies were the "Big Boys" and more comparable to Affordable paving. I asked Bill and Tom to explain to me why their services were better than the companies I have already received quotes from. They talked for a while, but were unable to provide solid examples of why Affordable is a better asphalt company - I remain unconvinced that they are superior. They did, however, tell me about the many "big" commercial jobs they have. It became clear that I was not valued as a customer to them, since I am only a residential customer. Despite this, I asked again for a revised quote. Bill told me that he could not provide me a quote, because his "girl is off today". And that I would receive the quote on Monday 5/16/16. As I write this, it is 5/18/16. I have not heard from them. If you are a residential customer, I would advise you to reconsider using Affordable Paving.
