RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DO NOT LOOK BACK! Nick Toto is a total FRAUD!!!! We unfortunately found him on Angi. We did not do our due diligence and find his REAL reviews including from his previous company name. Everything that people reported about him in the REAL reviews, was true. He was dishonest in his quote. He asked for ½ the payment in the very beginning to buy material and never bought it. He then asked for the other half of the payment, and did demo and a little bit of work that we now know was all wrong since we got a real contractor. He walked off the job and left us with an unusable house because we refused to give him even more money to still purchase and install things that he was supposed to have already purchased and budgeted to install in the beginning. All I can say is, ;RUN AWAY

We contacted Nick Toto of Toto Construction after his contracting company came up as an option on Angi s list. He came to our property to give us an estimate. He gave us an estimate of $16,500 to do the work below: -1st floor: -demo and replace kitchen countertop with granite countertop, pony wall countertop with granite countertop, remove and replace new backsplash, paint the kitchen. (all labor and material included). -demo and replace the floors on the first floor (living room, dining room, powder room, coat closet). (floors and labor included). -2nd floor: -remove and replace carpet in 2 bedrooms. (carpet and labor included). -remove and replace vanities and medicine cabinets in both bathrooms. (vanity and medicine cabinet not included). -remove and replace wall tile in both bathrooms. (tile included and labor) -remove and replace toilets in both bathrooms. (toilets included). -paint both bathrooms and both bedrooms. (paint and labor included). -remove basement floor carpet. Clean and paint the cement floor underneath. Paint basement walls (paint and labor included). He asked for half the money up front to purchase materials. We gave him a personal check (per his request) for $8,250. He cashed it. We chose a flooring color and he said he was going to order it. The next day, we changed our color choice and he said he would call home depot first thing the following morning and change the order. He had never ordered the floor. Then he said that as he was demoing, he noticed that all of our pipes are leaking throughout the house and the kitchen and 2 bathroom floor tiles needed to be changed because we don t have enough tile to replace the broken ones. He charged us an additional $20k. We said no, and asked him to complete the job he quoted or $16,500. He then told us that it was his mistake, he has a lot of jobs going on, and he confused our job with another job. He adjusted the amount to an extra ~$6k. He then asked for the other half of the initial payment, $8,250 to buy material and pay for labor. We gave him the check and he cashed it. He put in a small granite countertop, 3 boards of plywood in the very small shower in the master bathroom, a shower pan in the master bathroom shower, extended 4 small water pipes by a very little bit to fit our new vanities. He then asked for another $4k to purchase material and pay for labor. When we said we would purchase the material and deduct it for the rest of the balance, he said he would need the money to pay for labor. He removed all of his tools from the house.

overall great job and hard work to complete the tasks to remodel a home. example: demolition/trash Removal, cabinet and vanity, floor and plumping install.

He helped me out on two different projects and was very professional. I’d hire him for a third if I have one!

Nick and his team came out on two separate occasions to do a few repairs on our home. First was a basement remodel, French drain, and replacement of basement ceiling. He also tore out carpet and installed waterproof tiling in the basement from a small water issue. Second time was for a bathroom ceiling remodel where he put in a whole new ceiling, air vent, and painted the whole thing. Nick did a lot of the work and came early and stayed to finish up his work. Each day he kept the house clean and communicated well through his whole process. He also quoted us very reasonable prices for both projects and itâ s why we had him come out a second time. His work was flawless and professional and weâ d hire him again for any other work we need! Thanks!

If I could give zero stars I would. We hired Nick because he seemed honest and knowledgeable and was very personable. Nick removed a load bearing wall from our home, assuring us he knew how to properly do this without compromising the integrity of the home. Our floors are now not level, there is cracking in the walls and the doors no longer hang straight (due to the floors now being uneven). There is significant cracking in the ceiling and even our tile floor upstairs (above the room that the wall was removed from) are cracked. Also, the duct work was cut and not properly rerouted so our sons room now has no heat/air running to it. He also informed us (when we asked why the project was taking longer than initially quoted) that he was working on multiple projects at once and could only be at our house a few hours a day because he had other homes to go to. (Some days he was only there for an hour or 2). He made a mess our our floor and carpet as well. We called Nick immediately after he completed the project when we noticed the cracks, etc. and he stated â this would not have happened that fast if it was something I did when removing the wall. That is all we got. We now have to worry about structural damage and rerouting the duct work to have heat and air to our childs room. Disappointed is an understatement. Save yourself the money and headache and go with someone else.

Nick agreed to work under difficult circumstances during COVID. He was straight up from start to finish and stayed within his quote. He did all the work himself: framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile work, wall to wall carpeting, plus painting. He still came in despite a snow storm and even shoveled the driveway, by hand. His work pace was on point and worked very efficiently. I would definitely hire him again.

Excellent expedient service.

Garage roof had leaked and he was replaced with a rubber roof. He also was insulating and dry walling the interior of the garage. Upon completion, the roof still leaked. He said he would have to take out a window on the house as he believed that was leaking into the garage. ( at a cost of over $2000) We got another opinion and it turned out that the roof was not installed correctly. The sealant was not done properly. So we had to pay to have someone else fix the mistake. Not to mention that now drywall inside needed to be redone. He did not offer to come and fix that either which was OK because his attention to detail with the original drywall installation was poor. Once the job was finished he was difficult to get a hold of. In general, Nick seemed to be in a big hurry to complete the project and he did not pay attention to details or discuss things that came up as he went along. As a result, several things needed to be redone - siding issue, window not installed correctly, outside lighting in weird place, drywall had sloppy taping, and of course the leaking roof. His pricing seemed really good - now I know why. I am not sure why he was recommended by others.

Toto Construction delivered the project on-time and within budget. Used high quality products (tile, wood floor, quartz, etc.). Nick kept in good communication and was very easy to work with. We did a major construction/remodeling project in our home (kitchen, 3 bathrooms and laundry room) and it turned out wonderful! We will be using Nick and team again next year to update other areas of our home.

Polite but very deceptive. Nick Toto promised a coat of primer and two finish coats. We had to buy touch up paint because he took all the leftover paint we paid for. That is when we found out he passed off cheap Primer he had color added to as finish paint. He did not give us the color we chose, but a color close to what we chose. He did the same with carpet. The carpet job was horrible too! It was seamed at the doorway with the pile running in the opposite direction. He also took all the leftover carpet and tile that we paid for. So we ended up paying double to have finish paint done and new carpet installed. We found out Nick Toto had bad reviews under his previous business name. We are sorry we ever hired him.

This was the 2nd time we hired Nick to handle major repairs and renovations for us. We had a roof leak that basically destroyed the ceiling and walls in the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Nick had great suggestions. Nick and his excellent crew were as usual prompt, meticulous, performed quality work and finished the project ahead of schedule so we could move in before holidays. They replaced the roof, remodeled bathroom and completely repaired any damaged areas to like new condition. I would recommend to anyone that wants fine work at a reasonable price.

Toto has done multiple projects for me at this point. (kitchen, Roof, Siding, Added a Bath, screened in deck, removed a wall in a bedroom, added French door to a family room) The most recent is a garage addition that is amazing! He is fair in his pricing and knows where he can cut things to keep costs low and knows where to spend money. He has vision and can help lay out the final product in a way you would not consider. Example: he suggested a 12 foot wide garage door. I would not have done that as i didn't know they exist. It was the right choice. He has relationships with multiple vendors to get things done. As with any project there are glitches. Nick works to get them resolved. If i had one criticism it would be that he is a big picture guy. At times this gets in the way of the details (but considering i'm a big picture person I actually appreciate this about him) I trust Nick and he has helped me over the 10 years that i have used him as a contractor. He is the guy I will always go to. I rarely have run over of costs and if i do it's because of something I added or an unforeseen issue that is resolved fairly. Our experience with Nick Toto was terrible. Quotes are not accurate and should be treated with suspicion. When asked for breakdown of costs, he is extremely evasive. Work done was 1/10th of total project scope, yet somehow cost almost a quarter of entire project estimate (!!!). When asked about this extreme cost, he said there was nothing he could do about it. Renovations can admittedly be a frustrating process, but this guy is prone to angry outbursts, not what you want in a contractor. After some of our negative experiences we checked his PA business license and found a now closed contractor business that had been owned by him. It got negative reviews much more in line with our experience than the copious 5 star ratings found here. I'll admit we were assured by all of these positive reviews before hiring him, but they were nothing like our abysmal experience with Toto Construction. Subcontractors were good, but arguments Mr. Toto instigated with local inspectors cost us valuable time and money. Save yourself the heartache and hire someone else.

High quality work, great attention to details, creative and trustworthy! Nick and team were very polite and cleans up the place each day. I am very happy with my new bathroom and beyond my expectation. I highly recommend Nick and will definitely hire him again for future projects.

Very professional. Excellent wok ethics and great keeping you updated on progress. Everyone that has been here to work is very polite and great. Everything has been great and when they finish working for the day they tidy up. Nick is wonderful to work with. If you have a question he answers it and if you ask for what or if something will work he gives you his expertise honest opinion. His work ethic is wonderful, Nick and his crew are hard working guys. I highly recommend Toto Construction.

Their team worked very hard and showed up everyday. The finished bathroom surpassed our expectations for an excellent price.

Nick was great to work with, he suggested several suppliers and did a great job. Work was completed in a timely manner and on budget craftsmanship was excellent by Nick and all sub contractors which Nick managed will use Toto in future renovation projects

Very knowledgeable. Does meticulous work. If you want "fast and cheap" do not use TGS. If you want a very good value for your money and excellent work, hire Nick. I would highly recommend him. He did complete remodel of our master bathroom and an addition to our family room.

Nick was very professional, pleasant and easy to work with.

Nick and the guys were great to deal with. They took the project. Designed the frame in the front porch of our house and built our front porch out. Very pleased with their work and effort. Would use them again

Nick and his team did a fabulous job on our project! From start to finish they were extremely professional and their attention to detail was incredible. Nick was great at communicating every step of the project with us and making sure we were happy with the work. I would absolutely have Nick back to complete future projects.

They arrived on time, finished early and the job done was exactly what I had hoped for. They went out of their way to find just the door I wanted.
