Description of Work: I contacted the local number (there are two in the phone book) on a Monday in April, and left a message. No one returned my call. The following Monday, I called the long distance number. No one answered. The same person was on the message, and I left another message. It is now May, one month later, and I am still waiting for someone to return my call. Losers!!!! I wouldn't bother if I were you. They obviously don't need your business as they didn't need mine.

Description of Work: I asked him for a quote on installing Perma-Boots over the 40 roof vent stacks in the condo development that I manage. Even though the manufacturer's website clearly shows a video of the 30 second required installation, he told me that he actually ordered one of the Perma-Boots so that he could see for himself how the installation might go. I never heard from him again.

+ 6 moreScott not only performed the repair work requested but provided advice about other home issues that did not require repair. (For example, flickering kitchen lights were caused by my use of CFL bulbs for lights on a dimmer switch.) He and his co-worker were friendly and courteous (and did not make me feel incompetent because I don't know much about home maintenance issues), and they cleaned up the work areas after they were finished. It was initially challenging to schedule the work because of my location and work schedule, but Scott was persistent and the repairs were not urgent. I will definitely use Home Aid Handyman in the future - and with a 40-year-old home, there will be a future. I highly recommend this business.

+ -1 moreA+++ The guy who came out was very diligent, very ambitious and much of a perfectionist. He did a great job with all of the tasks we asked him to perform. He even showed up a little earlier than his appointment. I will continue to use his service. I talked to the owner Scott. He was appreciative of the feedback as far as how everything went. I expected that it would take all day. It really only took all the morning and a little into the afternoon. He did everything in a timely manner. We're very happy with how everything turned out.
Description of Work: I called and made arrangements for him to have someone come over. They came over around 8:20am. I had a whole list of things. I'm not very good with handy things. I know my limitations, so I like to have people do things around the house.

+ -1 moreThey’re very good and very thorough. They’re conscientious and they want to make sure the job is done right. We’ve never been dissatisfied with their work. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a handyman. The price really isn't bad; I don't consider it unreasonable. They seem to get satisfaction from doing the job right. They're perfectionists and they want to make sure you're happy with the job before they leave. There were a couple times when they didn't show up exactly on time but they called to tell me they were running late.
Description of Work: I used Scott at Home-aid Handyman. Bill is his assistant and he comes out too. I used them the last fall but they come out occasionally. I make a list of things for them to do when they come out.
