They presented me with a bill that was 3 x the normal cost for the same services. I had a sofa, carpet and 2 chairs cleaned as well as steps to my finished basement. They did scotchguarding without asking me. The spots on my carpet returned. My sofa had stains one half ws improved--the othe rhalf didn't look so good. My white chair looks good and the steps were ok. When I told them that they were 3 times more expensive-- her response was and quot; we are professional and personableand quot; and we got and quot;cadillac serviceand quot; ! I'd be wiling to pay twice as much for cadillac service, but 3 times as much is outrageous for the service provided. They told me there was alot of cat hair. Well... perhaps they need a better vacuum cleaner if that was a problem. No other cleaner said a word about it. I think the ywer trying to make excuses for their outrageous price. Would not recommend this company !! GO elsewhere. If personable means -divulging information about her family's personal life on a detailed level...then I wonder what she tells other customers about YOU! addendum: 9/10/12 KL Yoder's response rto my eveals her character ! I chose not to state the personal information she revealed to me about her family in my comments. And she chose to tell personal information about our finances. Yes, we used them about 15 years ago for water damage when our basement flooded. This was covered by Homeowners Insurance and I had no comparison for the cost. This was the first time we used them and the carpet /furniture cleaning was the second time.

The homeowner was not unhappy with our work at the completion of the job. She paid us and we left. Her job was very hard. White cat hair intertwined in the carpet and fabric. The spot on her dark green carpet, was a spot her husband played with nurmerous times and could not remove. We got it to go away, but explained that if it is in the padding it will resurface in time. We left a bottle of spotting agent with her to continue removing it and explained she would eventually win the battle, it would stop wicking back. No cost to her for the bottle of spotting agent. Her furnishings were in very good condition. The high back chair was pure white. All items cleaned beautifully. Scotchgard is applied when the value of the furnishing warrants the extra protection. IAfter we left she called and ask for her money back for the Scotchgard. I told her I had no problem returning the money as long as she felt comfortable knowing she received the product to extend the longivitiy of her furnishings, which I had also explained before leaving her home. I promptly returned her money for the Scotchgard on the furniture. While we were there she explained that she was having financial difficulty, her husband had been out of work, he had a failed business and continued on with more personal inputs of her life (which I choose to not put in print). I am not here to cause anyone any trouble. I have no idea why she chose to tell us what she did about her personal life. Maybe to get a smaller invoice. The homeowner threatened to do something if she did not get resolution. I had no idea what she meant. We have never been threatened before. I guess the comments made were the threat. I returned the money she ask for. I gave her what she ask for. Out of the thousands of customers over the 26 years we have been in business, this is one lady we can not make happy. For that I am sorry. One last comment. We worked for her before, she had no complaints on previous work performed. Why did she call us this time and not continue to use the other company she now speaks so highly of? Don't know and will not work for this homeowner again.

Description of Work: Cleaned a difficult Berber carpet with multiple stains, an upstairs hallway and an extremely difficult stairway carpet around a stair glide track with many grease stains from lubricant to the chair lift rail. Extremely patient with lots of attention to detail, stairs look as good as new. Have had another carpet cleaner here several times, this contractor took the time to do the job right and was equipped with products to really get to the root of the problem. Worth their weight in gold compared to prior contractors. 100% thumbs up! 5
