I got a good sense of his professionalism and pride in his work and so asked him to come out to do a full cleaning. He came with his wife and 3 others and worked quickly and efficiently to get the work done. They were done in less time than I anticipated and I am happy with the results. I am planning on setting up a monthly cleaning with them.
Description of Work: Top to bottom cleaning of a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse with a finished basement that adds 1 bedroom and 1 full bath.

They pay attention to deail and always call/text in advance to confirm the exact time they will be arriving.  + -1 moreDouglas responded promptly to my e-mails and phone calls. He arrived with Lelia (sp?) and Walter as scheduled and started cleaning upstairs. Later, his wife and another woman arrived, so there were five people working assiduously on the downstairs where there was more detailed work to be done. With DB Cleaning Services, I feel as though I have found a needle in a haystack. I had been searching for a service that provided thorough cleaning for the past three years. The few I tried didn't seem to understand or want to understand my idea of clean. Finally, I found DB Services on Angie's List, and my house is now clean beyond my wildest expectations. I walked into the kitchen and found Lelia cleaning the top of the kitchen cabinets and Douglas removing the cover of the fluorescent light to clean it, something no other service I'd tried would have done even when asked. My windows and blinds sparkle, the stain in the carpet is gone, the bathroom gleams, and I could go on and on about the wonderful service provided in a caring, respectful, thoughtful manner by every member of the crew. Words cannot express my deep appreciation of the extraordinary job done on my house. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

 + -1 moreThe experience was wonderful. I keep an organized, obsessively clean home and really hate dust and grime. After construction work, beginning with basement waterproofing and finishing with ME removing the fireplace brick in the family room, I needed this project done with more than myself to do it. It's the kind of project that needed to be done in one day, rather than over several days, so the fimished work wouldn't get covered by the dust from other places. Did I mention I'm OCD clean? Besides being top rated on Angie's List I had my daughter try DB Cleaning prior to my calling them. She was very happy after her construction project so I figured I would try them. I cannot praise them enough. Oh, they where here for 13 intensive working hours and charged me $300. I tipped them $80 even though Brunna is the owner. My only concern for giving them such deserved praise is that everyone will call them and they will become too busy. Good for them, bad for me.
Description of Work: DB Cleaning Service arrived at my house exactly on time, 7:30am, to begin work cleaning my kitchen TOTALLY. Two ladies, Brunna and Rosie, showed up as I was told by email. Every piece of china, silverware, pot and pan, food in pantry was removed and washed down and put back. My kitchen was covered in a layer of dust from a construction project and needed a real cleaning, not just a wipedown. These ladies removed everything from 8 double upper cabinets, 15 drawers and 10 lower cabinets. They cleaned the shelves inside. They washed the dishes (service for 24) and all the extra pieces and all the pots etc. I keep a kosher home so I have double of everything. They washed down the fronts of all the cabinetry which have grooves and all the 44 handles. They washed the floor and woodwork. Then I sent them down to the laundry area where I have 2 large 4 drawer lateral file cabinets with all my large pots, pans, 5 roasters and much much more. They cleaned it all. Terrific job Brunna and Rosie!!

 + -1 moreWe initially contacted Doug by email and he responded promptly. We scheduled an estimate within a week, and set up our first cleaning the following week. After each cleaning, he is sure to contact us by email or text to make sure everything was up to our standards. He is very pleasant to work with and very professional.
Description of Work: We have had 2 cleanings by the DB team so far and have been very impressed. I have had experience with several cleaning companies in the past and DB is definitely the most thorough team I have had. They were also the most reasonably priced of several estimates we received.

Not only did they clean and dust everything, they were careful to solicit any special instructions on how we preferred certain things be cleaned, and what products they should use. I don't think my bathrooms have ever looked so clean, and they even pulled out our large couches and cleaned behind them! We are planning to have them come every two weeks.
Description of Work: DB Cleaning came out for a free estimate, walked through my house and offered a very fair price for cleaning the entire house, and then laid out a pricing structure for ongoing cleaning. They returned a week later for a complete 'first cleaning'.

 + -1 moreThis is a great cleaning service. It's not like the big companies - it's family owned and operated. Three people came to the house, including Douglas, the owner. They got right to work. They were very thorough. My house looks great! Douglas really wanted me to be happy with the work, and asked me several times if everything was to my liking. And it was. The fee was $180 because my house had not been cleaned since December 2011, and there was a lot of work to do. It will be much less the next time they come, probably on a monthly schedule.

 + -1 moreI contacted DB Cleaning after reading the reports on Angie's List to get an estimate for a deep cleaning for our 3 story 5 bedroom twin. Douglas came one evening as we had scheduled and went through the house with me. He explained what his estimate was based on (hardwood floors throughout, 2 dogs and 2 cats in addition to size) and we set up a date. Douglas arrived at the set time with a crew of two and the three of them spent over 7 hours cleaning our house from top to bottom. I was getting worried at the amount of time they were taking and whether the cost would go up but Douglas charged exactly what he had estimated originally. The house looked and smelled great! To keep it looking and smelling good, I am working with DB Cleaning to have them come out every two weeks. My husband and I are very pleased with the results and enjoy working with Douglas and his wife.

 + -1 moreDouglas and his team came out to clean my house for the first time this weekend and did an excellent job. When I initially called him, he promptly came out to do an in-home estimate in the evening and explained his cleaning services. He was very polite and professional. I decided to try his company even though his estimate was not the least expensive of the companies I interviewed because I thought his company would be more thorough and do a better job cleaning. They did an excellent job with the initial clean, moving heavy furniture and getting on ladders to clean and dust in areas that I couldn't reach (and hence hadn't been cleaned for months). The two other people that came with him to clean were also both very nice, polite, and efficient. We will continue to use them for regular cleanings. Of note, the two times I have met Douglas so far, he has been very prompt, even early for our appointments (but he called when he arrived early to make sure it was ok), which I appreciate. It reflects the professionalism of his company. He is very detail oriented, always asking for feedback, and wants to make sure your house is cleaned the way you want it.

 + -1 moreI hired Doug and Brunna to clean my home after I finally admitted to myself that my physical limitations are keeping me from creating and maintaining a clean, cat-hair free home. They came on Friday (Dec. 2) and they worked a miracle! My home gleamed with clean ! From the moment they entered the house they were considerate of my needs, my furniture, and my possessions; they treated me and my home with the utmost respect, courtesy and care. I don’t know how they do it -- even at the end of the day, their attention to detail and energy for their work was as strong as it had been at the very start. I am planning to have DB Cleaning continue on a routine basis.

Description of Work: We had several renovation/construction projects which generated lots (as in lots) of dust throughout the house, and causing one of us (with asthma) acute distress. On short notice and before a holiday week, when their services were in much demand, DB came out on a Saturday and thoroughly cleaned every square inch of the house.  + -1 moreLook no further! D & B Cleaning Services are nothing short of AMAZING! I am a type A, control - freak personality and a stickler for customer service. I called D & B and received a call back within 30 minutes. We immediately arranged for an in-house visit/estimate for a few days later and I booked right away. On 10/22 the troops came to my house (which had been undergoing construction intermittently for 3 years!) and the result was perfect. Everything I asked for, they delivered. After 3 people cleaned the house from top to bottom for FOUR HOURS, it absolutely sparkled! This company is thorough and meticiulous. They clearly take immense pride in what they do and aim to please. This is a top notch operation and I give them my highest recommendation.

 + -1 moreDouglas, Brunna and one other person came to our house and did a fantastic and thorough clean of the house. It was our first time using their service and we were extremely pleased. Afterwards, we signed up for a biweekly cleaning with them and it has been going great. They are always on time, paying attention to details, adjust their routine to our special requests, and are easy and friendly to work with. With a toddler at home, we are especially concerned with the products being used to clean. Douglas recommended green products for us and use those for our house cleaning. I would recommend their service to people who are like us, wanting a clean house but don't have time to attend to it. Their thorough clean is a bit pricey (they worked much longer hours and it was hard to clean the first time) but for routine cleaning, the rate is much more reasonable.

 + -1 moreD&B did a phenomenal job doing a deep clean of our house. They were meticulous and even cleaned the top of kitchen cabinets and inside the fridge. They scrubbed the heck out of the kitchen and bathroom floors to the point where they got out grime between tiles that I thought was there to stay. They even took the screens off the windows to dust them. When they said deep clean, they really meant it. I had no idea they would spend so long and be so careful for the price we paid. We tried different cleaning service before finding D&B, paid about $40 less, had 5 people descend on the house and leave 30 minutes later, leaving behind a job that can best be described as superficial. D&B showed up with 3 people, spent 4 HOURS, and left the house the cleanest it's been in a long long time. D&B is also very professional. Doug met with my husband before our first cleaning to get to know each other and talk about their company and services. They also asked that we be present for the first cleaning to make sure we were happy with everything. We had zero hesitation to ask D&B to come back and do bi-weekly cleanings.
Description of Work: D&B did a deep clean of our house. Our house is a small, two-story rowhome and they spent around 4 hours cleaning every room except the basement (which we asked them to leave out).

 + -1 moreHad an initial e-mail exchange with Douglas asking him to come to my house and provide an estimate for a thorough initial cleaning and a bi-weekly cleaning service thereafter. Douglas was very courteous and accomodating in scheduling the estimate, and offered to come at night or on a weekend if I needed due to my work schedule. Had an unexpected conflict come up at the last minute before our first appointment and Douglas rescheduled with courtesy and understanding. My house is a large 4-Bed, 3.5-Bath with the usual common area rooms including Living Room, Family Room and a separate large Bonus Room. It had not been cleaned properly for quite some time and needed a thorough cleaning (and dusting!). DB did a great job with the initial cleaning and surpassed my expectations. Beyond the usual you'd expect with a cleaning, they moved furniture to get behind and under, cleaned the ceiling fan blades and even removed, dusted and replaced the books off the bookshelves in my office. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, and the stainless steel was immaculate. The house looks great and they definitely took care to make sure they provided excellent service. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of housecleaning service!

Sending my youngest daughter off to grad school, relocating from California, not knowing anyone in Philadelphia, not being able to do the cleaning myself, I had to hire someone. That someone was Douglas and Brunna. Douglas was prompt to contact me and we discussed in GREAT DETAIL EXACTLY how I wanted the cleaning done. I even asked them to take photos so I could see if there were any problem areas that needed to be brought to the attention of the landlord. Douglas provided me with much needed comfort during this whole process. As parents, they understood the EXCESSIVE instructions given to them, by me, along with my desire to provide a clean/sanitized home for my daughter in my absence. They were kind, patient and understanding. They did a fantastic job. I could not have asked for a better job. They did exactly what I asked and more. I am pleased with the final cost of the job, I actually expected to pay more (and would have paid more). Douglas and Brunna, THANK YOU for your hard work and attention to each individual clients needs. We HIGHLY recommend DB Cleaning and will continue to use them for all our cleaning needs.
