Went well overall. Douglas was 40 minutes late but called ahead to let me know. I felt comfortable leaving Douglas and his team in the house by themselves while I ran errands. I wanted the house thoroughly cleaned before I moved in. He and his team did a great job. House was spotless from floor to ceiling. Very professional. This was my first time using DB Cleaning Services based on Angie's List information. I would certainly use them again. I wanted the carpets cleaned as well but Douglas's associate couldn't make it until much later in the day. I couldn't wait that long and Douglas was happy to cancel at short notice to reschedule at my convenience. A very good experience.

D&B provided cleaning services for 15 apartments that included the following: bathroom, powder room, bedrooms and kitchen. D&B brought their own supplies and completed a comprehensive cleaning. Recommended to others without question or concern. Trustworthy and professionalism a plus.

I called Douglas and he answered right away. Told him I was looking for a move out house cleaning on the above described townhouse. He emailed me a quote that afternoon with a high and low range. I actually wound up adding carpet cleaning (as opposed to vacuuming) to the third floor carpet and stairway. He requested a small deposit to hold the day and we arranged for the cleaning the following week. He and his crew of 3 came within the 1 hour window he provided and went right to work. 6 hours later my home was transformed. They were able to turn my stove top back to brand new!! (And it was something I had tried and tried to clean myself). Everything looked amazing. They cleaned all the globes on my light fixtures and replaced them. All the windows inside and what outside they could get to. The inside of the refrigerator was blindingly white! I was so impressed with their job that I gave their card to my neighbor and my realtor (who was also impressed by their job...and she sees a lot of houses that have been "cleaned" by cleaning services!) I would highly recommend them!!!

Douglas and his crew are amazing! The best housecleaning service I have ever used without question. I called Douglas, he returned my call immediately. Very polite and professional. He set up my first appointment within a few days. We plan on doing cleanings every 2 weeks which will run about $150. The first clean is double the cost because it is a full detailed clean. Douglas brought a crew of 5 people to the house and they worked NONSTOP for almost six hours. They cleaned EVERYTHING. They pulled out every piece of furniture and cleaned every inch of the house. They cleaned all the baseboards, the ceilings, above the windows, windows, curtains. THey took everything off the shelves and cleaned. They cleaned the fans, all the lamp shades, they took down the pendent lights in the foyer and cleaned them. They pulled out the refrigerator, they cleaned the oven. At one point I walked in the house and one of them had flipped over my couches and was cleaning the bottom of my couch!. Douglas had pulled out the drip tray under my stove which has NEVER been cleaned and he was chipping off burned bits one by one with a straight blade. The thing is now immaculate. They place looks amazing. I can't say enough good things about this crew and their work. Will definitely use for future cleans.

Wow-I cannot thank Douglas and his team enough for the job they did! I live in a narrow, 4 floor rowhome in South Philadelphia with my boyfriend, two dogs and two cats and recently, three foster kittens. Needless to say, the mess got a bit out of control with all of the animals and my long hours at work. I called DB cleaning on Tuesday morning, desperately needing someone to come in and get everything back to its pre-foster cat state. The house wasn't a disaster, but everything needed a very good dusting/vacuuming and the bathroom and kitchen were both pretty grimy. Douglas was SUPER friendly and professional on the phone and based on my description of everything, he gave me an estimate (range) of what it would cost for a "top to bottom" cleaning. He was able to come and clean the very next day with a crew of 4 and oh my goodness, I have NEVER seen my house this clean. Not only was everything sparkling and shiny, but they even cleaned the inside of the fridge and oven (which needed it badly, but I didn't specifically request it). The price ended up being at the higher end of the estimate, but given the amount of time (4 people for 3 hours) and the quality of the work, I had no problem with this at all. I hope to retain DB's services in the future on a more regular basis to prevent the mess from ever getting that bad again. I really could not recommend DB Cleaning any higher-they were fantastic!!! Douglas even alerted me to a problem underneath my sink that I had failed to notice and could have caused major plumbing problems if I had let things go. We are putting our house up for sale and it needed a thorough cleaning, they fit me in and did an amazing job. I would use them again anytime .

We purchased a house AS IS that was lived in by a hoarder and her cat and dog, and then was left untouched for over a year. The family removed their belongings but decided not to clean the home. DB Cleaning walked through the house with me, gave me an estimate for a deep cleaning of the home, made suggestions as to what should be cleaned including the basement, windows and air vents. We hired them to clean the house and can honestly say it's one of the best moves we made. The house was immaculately clean when they were finished. It took longer than they expected but that's hardly a complaint. They were thorough, professional and did amazing work.

Douglas is awesome!! We needed to have our new house cleaned prior to moving in. He was able to fit us into his busy schedule and did an outstanding job. He had difficult conditions to work in since half the house is being remodeled and the painters were still painting when they came in to clean. Despite all that, Douglas and his team made the bathrooms and bedrooms shine and allowed us to move into our new home. The first day I was to meet Douglas for an estimate, he forgot, but when I texted him, he called me right away and was very apologetic. We made another appointment to meet and because of the missed appointment, gave us a discount on the service. Douglas is thorough, professional, a very nice person. It was a pleasure to work with him.

I called Douglas on May 10 and was looking to have my home cleaned over the next few days because I was putting the property up for sale. He responded to my call quickly and came out 2 days later with a 5 person crew to clean my house. They did an excellent job, taking about 4 hours to complete everything. Douglas went over every detail, paying close attention to the kitchen and bath as the 2 major areas of focus to home buyers. They cleaned the refrigerator, stove, sink, cabinets, windows and ceiling fans in kitchen and every crevice of the bathroom. They also cleaned inside of closets that were empty, and thoroughly dusted for cobwebs in the basement and shined up the washer and dryer units. Overall it was worth every dollar as there was no way I could have done 50% of that cleaning alone. I would recommend them to anyone. They are very professional, and detail oriented on the job. I would definitely use them to clean my new home in the future. My home is now listed for sale on Prudential Fox and Roach website, and the pictures look great. It has been fantastic! The house is spotless. They are reliable and professional and very easy to deal with. I have already recommended them to several friends.

Furniture was polished and shined. Kitchen appliances were wiped down thoroughly. Refrigerator was moved so that floor beneath could be washed -- unbelievable! In cleaning kitchen floor, perimeter of floor has a variety of items stacked along it --cases of water, dog food containers. DB Cleaners move these items in order to clean the entire floor. Shoes by the back doorare picked up so that the floor can be cleaned beneath them, and they are neatly arranged. Dining room chandelier was cleaned meticulously. A picture in its frame in our daughter's room had fallen, unbeknownst to us.The glass had broken behind a bureau. Everything was picked up and cleaned. The picture and frame were disposed of, asthey were no longer salvageable. No cleaning service ever took the time to go behind dressers/bureaus/china cabinets to getat woodwork and floors. Very impressive. We have all hardwood floors, which were cleaned with a cleaning product I provided. They looked beautiful.

I contacted DB Cleaning in January 2012, when I needed to replace the woman who had been cleaning our home for the past 14 years. I interviewed three companies (all from Angie's list). This was like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears: One company was way too expensive. One was very inexpensive, but a few days after my meeting with the company representative, a very negative review of this group appeared on Angie's list, so I didn't feel comfortable hiring them. DB Cleaning was "just right" for me. From the beginning, Douglas was very thorough and professional. He did a thorough appraisal of my home, explained exactly how this company works, and gave me a clear and informative estimate for cleaning services. It was obvious that he has a lot of experience. He is very attentive to details, takes great pride in his work, is very considerate of customers' wishes, and knows exactly what he is doing. Douglas gave me a list of recommended green cleaning products, which I appreciated. When the crew arrived to do the first thorough cleaning, I was very impressed. They had state-of-the-art equipment, including backpack-mounted vacuum cleaners that allow them to clean very quickly and thoroughly. When they were done, my house was spotless. They have returned every two weeks to help me maintain my home, and it all works very smoothly. Initially, I was a little concerned about the hourly rate, which was higher than what I had been paying before. To be clear, DB Cleaning doesn't charge by the hour, they charge by the job. But when I divided the amount of person-hours they were spending by what I was paying, it comes out to a little less than $30 per person per an hour ($130 for 4-5 people for one hour). I used to pay $20 an hour, but it took 8 hours ($160) to do what DB Cleaning can do in 1 hour! So it turns out that DB Cleaning is worth every penny. They are so much more efficient than people I've hired in the past. They get the job done quickly, more thoroughly, and in the end it actually costs me less money! DB Cleaning is a very professional, well run, small business. Douglas and his wife hire people they know well. They work well as a team, are very pleasant, and appear to enjoy working together. Their communication is excellent (whether in person, by phone, email, or text). They always call to confirm appointments and are always on time. They take pride in their work, which I really appreciate. Douglas often asks for feedback and it is clear that DB Cleaning is very interested in making sure that their customers are happy with their work. Indeed, I am very happy to have found them!

we called Douglas and he responded immediately. He came out quickly. He walked through the house to see what needed done and. Gave us an estimate. We needed the work done to put the house on the market. They came that Saturday and 4 people cleaned for about 8 hours. My husband had a stroke 4 years ago and I have not been able to keep up with everything. Douglas was nonjudgemental, very professional and reassuring. They left the house sparkling. All of ou sinks and appliances shined like new. I did not think that was possible. He arranged for another company to come at the same time and steam clean all the carpets and included that I'n the price. They have come weekly since and are wonderful. Don't hesitate to hire them. I wish I had years ago.

Douglas was a delight to deal with! We communicated by email about the work to be done and he asked good and thoughtful questions. I had also contracted to have window cleaning performed. The same day, my son-in-law scheduled an alarm company to do an installation while I was there. The various workmen respected each other's tasks and space for 8 hours. Douglas himself came to clean and brought Gil, a colleague to assist. He walked through each room with me to confirm the cleaning I wished to have performed and offered me additional recommendations. He arrived at 7:30 am and spent the entire day working. Each room was cleaned to perfection and, please belive me, in 23 moves ( I'm an Army brat) I have never seen a house left so dirty. The kitchen alone took him 2-3 hours to clean. He moved the refrigerator to clean under and behind it, scoured the oven, dissassembled the range and range hood, degreased the cabinets and even scrubbed every interior and exterior light fixture. Gil vacuumed cobwebs from the 56 year old porch. I asked Douglas about steam cleaning the rec room rug and he arranged to come back on a day my daughter could be at home. I have urged her to become his regular customer. His prices are fair and reasonable and he cares about quality. I do recommend him and his company enthusiastically and without reservation.

My overall experience has been excellent. Doug is very professional and always calls or emails me back when I contact him via email (preferred contact method) . He came out in January to give me a quote and then started bi-weekly cleaning since then. His team is always very friendly and they do a great job cleaning each room. Doug is very knowledgeable of proper cleaning products for different surfaces. I use to use a different Angies list A rated cleaning company and they cleaned my travertine tile with bleach cleaner one time and also accidently spilled bleach on my carpet which removed the color from my carpet. I trust Doug and his team and would highly recommend his services.

Apparently this company has more work than they can handle. Called and left a voicemail to obtain an estimate for a move-out cleaning. Waited 48 hours and never received a call back. Tried several times to call in-between and only got the voicemail. Left another voicemail yesterday and, again, no call-back (after asking for them to have the professionalism/courtesy to at least call and let me know they were too busy for new clients). Apparently, this is not the company to attempt to call for estimates/service, if you are a new customer. Pass on this one.

I found DB through Angie's List. I reached out to Douglas through email and we found a time for him to come to the house, to meet him, and for him to provide us with an estimate. He was both punctual and flexible - he was able to accommodate an early evening meeting after I had put the kids to bed. After a quick walk though the house, we sat down to go through what our expectations were: what things his crew should take particular care of (or avoid), what cleaning products we would prefer (to use our own or to bring in outside products). He also talked about the company, which is family owned and operated, and what his promises were to us. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I felt as though I was dealing with a professional that takes pride in his work and his reputation. First session to clean the house was on a Saturday, as it would take several hours to get the house cleaned for the first time. I don't think the house has ever been as clean as it was when they were done. We also set-up a bi-weekly schedule of cleaning to maintain the house. Every other Monday I come home and I'm thrilled with what has been done. There are several things I like about DB Cleaning: - I like the owner (Douglas). He's professional and responsive to email, text or phone - The work is excellent - The family-owned an operated aspect - Price is good, as is price for value I would and have recommended them already to others.

The overall experience was great. Setting up an appt with Douglas for an estimate was easy. I will be using them for a monthly cleaning service so I hope that my experience from here on is just as great as the initial one.

DB Cleaning is excellent. Their cleaning is great. Douglas is kind and easy to work with. Everything is clear and he is easy to communicate with. They are reliable and flexible.

Overall, it did not go as I expected. After the initial contact of coming to my home to give an estimate, I was looking forward to hiring them. However, it took a long time to receive the quote. I had to contact them after a week to ask about the quote. When I received the quote from the company but did not get the breakdown for room to room as I requested. I was just given me a quote for "whole house cleaning." Since this was going to be a big job because it was for smoke damage sustained by my neighbor's house fire. I needed to know exactly what the cleaning would involve or what would be done in each (other than just dusting and vacuuming). Example: Dining Room - China closet had to be cleaned and all china and glassware inside had to be washed and replaced. Kitchen: cabinets and walls had to be washed and dishes, pots and pans in cabinets had to be washed, etc. This is the kind of breakdown I needed. A breakdown was needed so I could determine if everything was included in my insurance company's estimate. My last contact was in early February 2012. I was asked to call so the representative (Douglas) could explain over the phone was included. However, I felt that it could have been explained in the email. Also, whenever we try to communicate, we would play phone tag until we made contact. That's why I requested my answers by email.

We live in the graduate hospital area and I was just looking online for a cleaning service. We checked out Angie's list and learned that DB cleaners had good ratings. So, we scheduled a meeting with Douglas and started the process. We have been using DB cleaners for about 5 months now and we really can't say a bad thing about them. They do a great job!
