Description of Work: I used them for many years, and they were good at first, but in later years, every year something new went wrong with my heat pump. I had to replace it completely twice in 10 years. The second time was when there was a tax credit for things like that, and they grotesquely overcharged me for replacing the heat pump because of the tax credit. I asked them if it was normal for a heat pump to break down after 5 years and they said it was. Then they told me that the new one would pay for itself in 10 years. I said, "I thought it was normal for them to break down in 5." He didn't have an answer for that. | |I knew they were doing overcharging me, but I had no heat in the middle of the winter so I paid it. In less than a year, it wasn't working again. The heat pump was constantly on emergency backup. I called them in and they spent an enormous amount of time looking it over and concluded that the problem was that it was "really cold out." It was really cold for December, but we've had colder Februaries that weren't that expensive. I called in Sila instead, and they told me that the problem was that the heat pump was out of refrigerant! I took a maintenance contract with Sila that day and haven't turned back.

Description of Work: The technicians were on time and found a way to do things without going through the house. They were both pleasant. I did have to call back to ask whether or not the unit was working properly, the 2 techs came out immediately. They explained that the air flows across, not down. However, I did not appreciate the tech who stood on my rolling kitchen chair with his shoes on. I asked him not to, but he just got on it.

Description of Work: On Friday, January 25th I called Action HVAC because I had a new born and my furnace would not start up. I have had some trouble with my furnace recently with it not starting up right so I made a call to them. They told me they would be out within the hour and in less than 30 minutes they came. They told me my heat exchanger was cracked and it was leaking carbon monoxide throughout my house which is known to be the silent killer. I told them I was on a tight on budget and he said it was not a problem he would work with me but he did need to install a new furnace if I wanted heat. He installed an Armstrong 97% furnace. Since my furnace is located off of my kitchen I was worried about noise because my old unit was loud and could be heard throughout the whole house. After the install which he performed that same day I couldn't believe how quiet it was and I am so happy I chose to call them. I am so thankful for the crew at Action Heating for giving me a great price and quiet new system. My family and I are so happy we made this decision!

Description of Work: I call early Sunday morning they came out within 1hr and half. They explained what is the problem and what I have to do. I told them I want to replace the condenser unit, they said it could done about 3hr. That is a quick service, when I have heating & air problem I will call again for sure.
