Action Air Conditioning & Heating

No Air Conditioning on 7/5. House was 78 degrees and climbing. Action Air came out that night. Discovered that inside unit had "frozen" up and then thawed, melting ice fried all internal components of Furnace (circuit board, blower motor, etc. Next morning, installed new Westinghouse Furnace / Air Condensor.

The repairman arrives 45 minutes early. He suggested that just fixing our furnace would cost upwards of 3K, because everything would need to be replaced, and suggested we buy a new furnace. Replacing a furnace is a good idea, especially now before May 2013, if you want an option for a cheaper furnace. However, he asked me to turn on the furnace, which I did, and nothing happened. Given that it appeared my furnace was no longer working at all, our situation looked bad! There was snow on the ground and it was cold. Not only did the motor not come on, but nothing happened! It was worse than before! Oddly, when the next repairman came (different company), the furnace was turned off at the furnace. The repairman (different company) turned it on and the air came on, and the motor came on after the warmup. The repairman (different company) noted that it is printed on our model that the motor would not start until after a 90 second warmup. Whereas before nothing happened, no air (should come on) and no mention of a motor delay. Action Heating offered several estimates on new furnaces, all of which were more than the competitors, although they had a better warrantee on labor. In addition, given that I was going to pay $125 (with a coupon) for his trip over here and estimate, I was heavily leaning towards taking the deal and getting the furnace fixed no matter the cost. However, we were not in a position to replace our furnace at this time, and needed another option. Moreover, I felt uncomfortable pressure from the repairman to replace the furnace now, even though it was more than we could do. They even came back after I said no, paid him for the estimate, and he left our home with an offer to install a year old model for less (still more than the new model from the competitor). They noted that deal would be gone quickly. I try to assume the best of everyone. I can say they have a good warrantee on labor and were prompt. However, I will not use them.

Being a single mother maintaining a home usually I have to rely on friends for referrals so I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of. I was referred to Action Heating & Air by a friend who had used their services a few years ago and was very satisfied.I had called them this past August. They came out immediately and gave me an estimate of the relacement with no pressure. I told them I would get back to them after I got a second estimate which I recieved that was 280.00 less. However, knowing other people that were satisfied made it easier. I was very impressed with the staff that came out and it was worth the extra money for the job knowing if I had any future service issues they would be handled promptly. I have and would continue to recommend Action Heating & Air to anyone needing these services.

They did not return the quote. They showed up on time, but they were less professional than other places that I got quote from and they did not do a thorough investigation.

After finding water on the floor. Someone came out right away to evaluate the situation. Did in fact need a new heater. Came back out very quickly and replaced the heater which was outside. Hardly knew that they were there. Everything was great and looks very nice.

Technician was punctual but not professional and told me I needed brand new compressor. As the second company I called for Home Warranty Company said the compressor is functioning fine and system only needed some additional freon.

We have a split, Hidden Aire, air conditioner. We have had it approximately 6 to 8 years. it has been shutting down. I cleaned the squirrel cage but the condenser unit will shut off before the room is cool. I called the company and scheduled an appointment telling them the brand and age of the unit. They sent a repairman out within a few days. He walked in the door, looked at the unit and said he could not get parts because the company is not in business anymore. He said he would check to see if he could find any parts (but we never heard from him again). He then presented his bill for the service call and said he would take a check or cash.

I called Action heating and cooling on the hottest day of the year when my air conditioner stopped working, to my surprise a technition was at my home in 20 minutes! The problem turned out to be a bad compressor the technition made another call when I told him my wife was asmatic and he had another two man crew here within 30 minutes installing my cooling unit. They certainly lived up to there name "ACTION" and I would highly recomend them.

i accepted the price and when they did it the two installers that were there were very well spoken and really respectful when they started the job i went downstairs and watched them do alittle of it .they were very good at what they were doing they had don e everything really professional. so when the job was done it was running great i was very excited and satisfied

The whole experience was fast and easy.

They came that was a good time for me.They were very knowledgable with what needed to be fixed.They got the part and fixed it the same day within a few hours.

They put in my heating and air conditioning unit about 5 years ago. I turned on the air conditioning unit and it was not putting out cool air so I called them. The guy came out and took the terminal off and saw there was a mouse nest and a dead mouse in there. He said we needed a new compressor for $5000. He never swept the nest away. I called another company for a second opinion. The second company brushed the nest away and saw a connector was not connecter. They did not charge me a service fee but I paid for a part to recoup their fee. I paid for the part but for my inconvenience they should not have charged me a damn thing. They gave me misinformation. They sent out a guy who was to squeamish to brush away a dead mouse with a broom. They did come and make right of what they had done wrong but I don't think I would use them again. If I had not called another company for a second opinion I would have went with their recommendation which really bothers me. The second guy who came out and did the job was fine. I am basing some of my grades on the second guy who did the work.

They were fine. We will continue to use them in the future.

Went very well. Complicated installation but done promptly, neatly and still working great today!

Everything went well. They came on time and stayed until the job was done, about 7 hours later.

It went great. From initial written estimate to clean-up and system testing, the work went well. I would and do use them for all my HVAC needs.

We have always found the person that comes to our home to be friendly and respectfull. They arive do the work, explain what they did and tell us how the system is doing with little notice of them being there.

The serviceman arrived at my home at the time stated that he would be there. He came with all necessary equipment to complete the job. He was very polite and professional. The service he provided was excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone. I am very pleased with the service we received.

IT WENT GREAT ONCE ACTION SHOWED UP!

Serviceman did not show up for scheduled service date. Waited for them to call me about it. One week later, I called them. Person was surprised that they didn't show up. Said would have serviceman call me to reschedule. One week later never heard from them. Suddenly 2 days after that, serviceman calls and says he will be right over. Luckily someone was home.

Every thing went as smooth as could be. Very proffessional company

It was a great experience. I was travelling when my heating unit failed and my spouse notified me. From out of country I contacted Action. They set the service up for the very next day. They arrived early in the morning and my spouse let them in. He went off to work and they replaced my heater. My spouse returned at lunch to see how they were doing and the job was complete and the technicians were cleaning up. They were prompt, curtious, and neat. I would definately use them again.
