Action Air Conditioning & Heating

The service person arrived within a couples of hours. I thought that I needed a new AC unit because it is very old and stopped working all of a sudden. It turned out that a cleaning and filter replacement solved the issue. I was pleased to find a relatively inexpensive fix. They were very courtious and professional and they responded quickly.

Action replaced my Air conditioner. They did a great job on the install. It has worked very well. Action installers were very professional and punctual. I would use them again for AC work

Airconditioner stopped working on hottest day of the year. I called their emergency service. You spoke to someone immediately instead of leaving a message and waiting for a call back (like other companies). I hate waiting for someone to call me back. If I have a problem, I want to speak to someone right away. They had someone at my house withing 1 hour 30 minutes. I needed a new airconditioner (it was old). They were able to do this the next day. The people who came to my house were nice and considerate. My house is cool again within 24 hours.

They were very professional and accommodating. They were quick when I called, and it was faster than I expected. Showed up on time. I have zero complaints with the work they did. They even added a 5 year labor warranty, 10 year parts warranty, 10 warranty on the compressor, and they even waived the maintenance fee for my first 5 years. They gave me a huge deal on all the work they did. I would highly recommend others.

It went well they got out to me fast and fixed the problem quick I was having problems with my thermostat and they helped me set it also the unit was not getting cool enough and they also got that running colder they were very nice and explained everything I needed to know. I'm happy I called action for my service

Action was great they installed my heatpump 4 years after they installed had a slight problem they came right out and fixed the issue for free. Could not be happier with the service.

My air conditioner wasn't working so I looked to Angie's list to find a reputable company to come out and diagnose the issue. It was about 8pm on Friday evening, and Action Heating & Air was the top-rated company so I called them first. They sent someone right out. Ben showed up at my house at about 9pm and quickly looked at the thermostat, the breaker and the system inside and outside of the house (a total of 5 minutes). He spoke very quickly and told me the unit needed to be replaced. That it was over "20 years old" and that the outside coils were disintegrating, etc. He quoted me two prices $4,000.00 to just replace the outside unit and $7,900.00 to replace the whole thing - we have 2.5 ton unit. My husband came home in the midst of this and didn't get a good feeling from Ben, so he decided to pass on the "offer/pitch" and call others for second opinions/quotes. Of course Ben quickly became annoyed and said we "you won't find a better price," and wrote up the slip for $125.00 and went on his way. After he left, we got a phone call from Manny at Action who said that we could reach out to him with any questions. The next day we had another HVAC service come out and the guy took his time and carefully diagnosed the issue - there was a clog in the drain in the condensate drain line because the air filter needed to be replaced (we just moved in a few months ago). The outside unit still had freon and as soon as the drain was cleared it began working properly. The repairman charged us $90.00 for the fix ($35.00 less than Action charged us to do nothing but lie and waste our time). My air conditioner is now working and the guy that fixed it said we should get 10 more years out of our 12-year old system (Ben told us it was more than 20 years old and could not be repaired, only replaced). We called Manny at Action back today to file a complaint, but he wasn't there so my husband spoke to Jim. Jim was annoyed and rushed once he realized the purpose of the call and said that Ben reported that he tested the freon levels and that they were at less than 20%, etc. When we told him that this wasn't true and that we didn't even need freon, he said he would refund us our $125.00 if (and when) it's still working this coming Monday (implying that he doesn't believe it's really fixed). We'll see if that happens. Overall, this is a company that preys on people when they are in desperate situations. I made the mistake of telling them we just moved here and I didn't know anything about the system, so they lied to me and made it seem like it was on it's last leg to make a quick and overpriced sale. Additionally, we did get quotes to replace the system from two other companies, for the outside unit it would be $2,900 (compared to Action's $4,000) and both inside and outside $4,000 (compared to Action's $7,900).

On 7/15/14 I called Action Air & Heating. The service tech arrived at my home within the time I was told he would. He evaluated the issue and called his Boss. He then explained everything to me. The system could not be repaired, replacement was required. He then called his Boss a 2nd time. The Boss then explained my options to me and I made a decision. The Tech asked if I had any Medical conditions, my replay was yes, Congestive Heart Disease. He then made a 3rd call to the Boss. I asked why and was told due to my health issues my installation would be moved to the top of the list. I soon found out that the Boss was actually at a Dr.'s. appt. himself. This man took the time to speak to me from his Dr.'s office not once but 3 times My new unit was installed on 7/16/14. I have to admit that I was in a state of sticker shock. When the installer showed up on the morning of the 16th, I was having 2nd thoughts about the cost. I again spoke with the Boss who once again went over my options with me. I decided to go through with original decision. The installer first evaluated the job. He then asked if he could talk to me and show me what he found. He then pointed out to me the short cuts that were taken on the installation of existing unit. Which could have contributed to the existing problem. The installer replaced everything new. Wiring, copper tubing, piping, insulation. That of which was not done with the prior installation. By 4:00 pm on the 7/16 my unit was installed and running. The installers treated me and my home with respect. They cleaned up after the install, after I put a few things back into the storage closet where the air handler was installed. It looked like they were never there. Everyone that I dealt with from the person who received my original service call to the follow up call was a pleasure to deal with. They were professional, patient and understanding with me. Like I mentioned earlier I was in a state of sticker shock. I am looking forward to the energy savings of the newer more energy efficient unit. I will update when I get a few follow-up electric bills. All in all I am pleased with my experience with Action and would recommend their services.

Our air conditioner quit on June 30th,We called Action on July 1st, a service person arrived before noon the same day.The entire unit was examined, the problem was diagnosed with in an hour or two. The serviceman explained all the issues and what would be needed. The parts were picked up by the repairman in the early AM . Replaced the outside unit and added a drier unit that had not been in the older unit. He also serviced ,inspected and vacuumed the unit above the house in the attic. He was very knowledgeable about all questions we asked and very professional.

Let me start off by saying I am absolutely pleased with Actions services. Sometime around noon on wednesday the 16th I had called Action to check out my a/c unit. I had called another reputable company previous and they had said my ac was shot specifically the compressor. I thought about it and It didnt seem right the system is not that old maybe 7 years.. Anyway I called action and they came right out within the hour and looked at my units. The service guy told me it was a few years old but definitely had some life left and that it was just low on a charge. He found a leak in the line and was able to repair it! I am so happy to of had them come out to service it unlike everyone else pulling my leg they were very upfront and honest and even tought me alittle on how to maintain everything to prevent problems in the future! A big thank you to the guys over at Action saving me a fortune!

The guys showed up early for their appointment by about 15 min so they were right on time. They went over everything about the contract very professionally and made sure that I understood everything and gave me tips on how to upkeep my equipment in the future to make it have the most out of its lifespan. They did their work quickly and efficiently. Once they left there was no mess left behind and they were very courteous on the way out. My air conditioning is working better then ever and I'm very impressed with the way they presented themselves and the company. The guys were a pleasure to be there. I will definitely be using Action in the future and have and will continue to recommend their company to family and friends.

Everything went great, the gentleman from action were on time and we're nice and polite. They gave me lots of useful tips on what to watch out for. I would definitely recommend them for friends and family.

Everything went great! My air conditioning is working better then ever. The guys showed up when they were supposed to, actual a little earlier, they were respectful and I could tell they really cared about fixing my AC and getting me comfortable again. I Will Definitely Be Using Them In The Future If Need Be And Would And Have Recommended them.

I called Action Air on Saturday, July 5th because my air conditioner was not working. They had someone here within one hour. My compressor blew out and the unit needed replacement. The rep explained all my options and quoted and excellent price. I purchased a new unit through them to be replaced the next day. I was very pleased with their promptness and customer service. My husband is ill and they were extremely helpful in getting the unit replaced ASAP. Would recommend them and will use their services in the future.

From the purchase of the new unit to installation was 2 days. An assessment of my AC unit was provided on Sunday. This was after an initial phone call was made on the Friday. I had called a few other companies and most could not come out for 5-7 days. With a heat wave looming, I decided to keep trying to find someone who could come to my home faster. My first contact was Ben. The installers were Carl and Zach. They arrived on time, and worked tirelessly in order to complete the job in one day. They were very clean, personable, and respectful and didn't stop for almost 10 hours. They also updated my thermostat at no charge. Much like many people, I was unsure about having workers at my home, however I took a chance because of their rating on Angie's List, and wanted to provide an A review of my own. I highly recommend Action Heating and Air for all you HVAC needs. Thank you Action, for now I am writing this review in my cool living room!

Ben the service technician was very knowledgable and personable. He carefully explained each step of the diagnostic regime and had no problem with me following along and observing. Following the diagnostics, it turned out I had a leak in the external unit's coil. With the unit using R22 which is no longer a standard and is not manufactered to, Ben called several manufacturerers to try and locate an R22 3 Ton unit in stock. Unable to locate an R22 3 Ton unit, a full inside/outside unit was required. Ben and the owner provided a discount on the unit due to the fact that I was a prior Action customer, provided a year of free maintenance and applied the $1,000 government rebate. Action scheduled an installation for the same day - impressive as it was the Friday at the start of the Memorial Day weekend! The installation team arrived in a matter of a couple of hours and were very helpful in explaining the installation process. The got right to it and did an excellent job in fabrication, and installation with attention to detail including areas that other companies I have used typically overlook - cleanly finishing off ductwork, wiring and providing an easily accessible filter door.All installation was of very high quality with a high level of fit and finish. Kudos to Ben and the Action installation team!

Many, the person who has serviced my unit for a few years is just great, and Action is lucky to have someone as personable, Iand knowledgeable. He always takes the time to let me know what I can do to take care of my heat pump....I didn't know I needed to dig out the snow around the pipes in the winter, now I do, and it will extend the life of my unit. I have used this group for many years, got good advice and a good price when I had to replace the 25-year old heat pump about 5 years ago. I would recommend Action Heating and AC to anyone.

Arrived, new what he was doing, knew how to manipulate thermostat, checked filter and gave us some pointers, checked outside unit, rinsed outside unit, checked Freon and recharged, made sure unit was operating up to specs.

Manny was very helpful. He was courteous and professional. He even took his shoes off when he entered the house, so he wouldn't get the house dirty. He sounds like he knows his stuff.

Service tech (Ben) came out for spring service to insure unit is ready for the season. Upon inspection of outside unit Ben showed us where over the winter squirrels had decided to use the unit as a home. The squirrels had brought nuts into the unit and caused damage to various parts within the unit by chewing wires etc...Parts were replaced and unit was sealed so no more critters could get into the unit. Spring service was done and we are ready for the season. Action Heating and Air conditioning has always provided us with good reliable service in a professional, timely manner at a fair price since we had them install our unit.

Manny was very professional in his work. We have used them since 09/2007 and they have stood behind their work and made it right when something went wrong
