RB Hobaugh was my first and only call! I talked to Marc and he took time to talk through my problem over the phone. He answered my questions and even taught me info I didn’t know. He sent a tech, Ron, same-day and he was here fast! It took Ron only a few minutes to figure out where the short was in the circuit, and he fixed it. We will need to re-run wire and fix an outdoor light pole at some point, and we will be calling Marc when the time comes...no doubt about it. Price was excellent on this job and I’m so glad they could respond right away. Ron took lots of time also to talk with me and answer questions. RB Hobaugh are my electricians! I suggest you make them yours as well!

The responded on time and checked all the electrical parts (circuit breaker, wall outlet, and related GFI circuits). Determined what the issue was and provided a proper repair.

Mark was able to determine it was in a light switch and confirmed everything else was up to code which was a big relief. Mark identified the problem and fixed it within the first hour and only charged $65.00 which to me was amazing!

After calling the power company (who would do nothing), I called R.B Hobaugh & Son. They came out the next day and fixed it that day. They understood that I was concerned and even though the wires may have been okay for a little while, they made time to come out right away.

I called a few companies and got no answer or response (ugh...deer season!!). Upon calling R. B. Hobaugh, which I found on a map google search....someone answered the call. They put me through to someone who was obviously a manager in charge. I described the issues, and he agreed with my early guess at what was wrong. He said he would have someone out there that day to confirm. I received a call a few hours later from the tech, who was at the property. He described the problem and confirmed with me that we wanted to make the repair. I didn't even confirm pricing, because I knew I only had one solution at that point. So I was at their mercy. btw...at this point EVERY person I talked to, from the receptionist to the tech person...were so pleasant to talk to. It made me feel confident in them and that they would treat me fairly. The tech said he would have the project repaired by the end of the day for sure. He had materials and help on the way. True to his word, he texted me a few hours later to say the power was back on. Since it was going on 6PM, he said that he would return for a bit of cleanup in the AM. I got the bill about 5 days later...I felt they were completely fair in what they charged me. I figured the worst case scenario, since it was an emergency situation, that the bill was going to be several hundred more (which would have felt expensive to me). But I was completely satisfied with dealing with this company. I hate getting phone calls like this about my rental properties, because it always costs me money. But I certainly will call them again, and will definitely recommend them to others. *When I get good service and I feel like I am treated fairly...I like to return the favor by getting that business more business.

Technician was very professional and competent. He spent a good amount of time diagnosing the problem and clearly explained what the problem could be and what the fix could involve.

It went well. Checked switch, outlet and ceiling fan, also fuse box. Made a small change in ceiling fan. Fuse box was excellent. Said if it occurred again, even within 5 minutes after he left. to call. I was satisfied and appreciated that he checked everything. I definitely will recommend and would call them again. They fit me in the same day as call.

Brandon showed up in the afternoon as I was told in the morning, he was professional and very friendly. He tested the wires and installed the new GFI with little effort due to his expertise. I had installed the new GFI as the previous wiring 30 years ago, he knew right away that the wires had to be switched after testing it.

Marc came out to examine house and situate where generator would go and how project would proceed. He e-mailed a proposal including a firm estimate, we agreed and work began a few weeks after the 50% deposit was received and the weather pemitted work. We had the Generac Generator ordered in January, 2014 and once the frigid weather gave us a break, the transfer switch, platform and installation of the generator took a total of 2 to 3 days. Sean was the main electrician and was great and very skilled in the wiring. Cleaned up the electrical panel and repaired a short to one house circuit very efficiently and the jobsite was cleaned up nicely when they were done. Gas line installer was excellent and that was smooth and he fixed a loose connection on our main house meter line. Generator works great, and is set up to test itself once a week for about a ten minute run. Houbaugh will schedule maintenance service in 1 year to change oil filters and check out unit. Working with the guys was great, they accomodate your working schedule well and are prompt when they schedule to work. They communicate by cell phone, e-mail -- some delay in returning to put in ground line but very appologetic and worked to please. They are an excellent local small business and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for any future electrical needs.

Our whole house generator would not start. This company's new "rookie" technician, over two long days could not repair the unit.
