Changed price mid-construction. Made mistakes that I had to pay twice to have fixed correctly by another contractor. Showed up to do work whenever they felt like it and never completely finished job promised. Seemed like young unsupervised workers. Shabby workmanship. Main contractor- W. Frey appeared to have no idea what was going on at my property, left workers to make decisions for themselves...I received no phone calls regarding changes or decisions. This was a vacation home so I could not baby sit...MY FIRST AND LAST MISTAKE. they may be good a small jobs but major overhauls...STAY AWAY from them unless you don have a job and have time to sit and watch them all day. I'm sure you're not interested in my ordeal or details of it. You're probably reading this because you are looking for help in choosing a contractor. I hope I've helped you.

First let me say that we are very sorry that the customer was disappointed in our performance for the work we did for him. This is the first time we are hearing about these issues that he seemed to have had considering we started and completed his work in 2008 and it is now 2012. I would like to say that we are a family run business providing complete professional services from handling permits, applications, architectural design and drawings, and all other details involved in completing our customer’s construction project. We strive to create a successful partnership with our customers throughout the construction process. It is our desire to establish lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance by every member of our construction team. We have been in business over 35 years. We would like to address some of these issues that he had and why some of them occurred. In reference to the timely manner that the work was completed in, we agreed to work with his personal people to do all the concrete work so that he could save money. This took considerably more time since they worked it in with their time schedule. This time restraint was out of our control since it was his request to do this and we wanted to work with him. In reference to the changes in the work being completed, we took an old cabin from the 1950’s, which was setting on rock piers and we needed to work with township officials to bring this up to the new building code compliance. This was something out of our control and in the hands of the building inspector. There were many deficiencies that were uncovered as we proceeded with the remodeling project and there were changes that had to be made in order to complete the project. We kept him informed of all changes prior to doing any of them. In regards to the cost of the job, when we started he asked us to proceed with the job as he had the funds available to pay for the different phases of the work being completed. Another reason the job took longer than expected.
