Sorry I didn't write about this earlier, as I have forgotten all Bernie and his son did at our house. He is fast and reasonable and reliable.

Bernard Krajir came into a chaotic mess in our basement and made suggestions as to how we could salvage what was still viable after water remediation (which had included installing pipes and sump pumps). He and his sons made clean cuts in the damaged walls, reinforced a slew of sawed-off two-by-fours, installed new sheetrock and put on a kind of waterproof wainscoting over that, finishing all seams nicely. He put in fresh carpet padding under undamaged carpet and reinstalled it so that it looked as if it had just been put in, adding wooden moldings at the bottom edges. He completely redid one wall and repaired and painted walls in a basement laundry room and bathroom too, and then he smoothed and painted the concrete in the uncarpeted areas and in a big utility room as well. He finished and tacked down all edges of the carpet, filled and painted holes in previously damaged woodwork, reinstalled doors and laundry sink, and was ready and willing to repair an upstairs window, heft heavy extra doors into a space over our garage, paint a long board where an awning had gone, and haul off all scrap and trash. After each work session, he left the area neat and clean and safe. He kept his appointments and finished the job quickly. Bernard Krajir and his sons make a very pleasant little team of excellent workers, and he did not overcharge -- if anything, he undercharged . . . He can repair rooves (fixed our gutters earlier) and won't turn down any odd job. He has had 30 years' experience and has taught his sons well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
