 + -1 moreWe wanted to give the business to a local company so we foolishly didn't shop it around. The salesperson was seemed knowledgeable and he even introduced us to the owner. The price was high but we thought we would get what we paid for. The carpet seems of good quality but the installation was horrible. Every seam is visible, they miscalculated and installed the carpet off-center on our stairs with exposed wood on both sides, and when we questioned them about the visible seams, they blamed it on the angle of the sun and said the carpet would "settle" and they wouldn't be as visible. Needless to say, two years later we still see every last seam. The carpet installers who put the original carpeting in this house, and had an incentive for doing it quickly and cheaply, did a far superior job. We later finished a room in our basement and had Empire install carpeting there. They did a far better job at a fraction of the price. We would not ever use Chuck Smith Flooring again.

 + -1 moreMY EXPERIENCE WITH CHUCK SMITH HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL. CHUCK HAS ALWAYS GIVEN ME GOOD ADVICE ON THE TYPE OF FLOORING NEEDED IN MY HOME. HIS INSTALLERS ARE EXCELLENT, THEY CLEAN UP THE AREA AFTER THE WORK IS DONE. AND HAVE RETURNED TO TOUCH-UP SPOTS WHEN A FLOOR HAS SETTLED DUE TO NEW CONSTRUCTION ON AN ADDITION.
Description of Work: INSTALLATION OF VARIOUS FLOORS THROUGHOUT MY HOME. HARDWOOD FLOORING INSTALLED IN KITCHEN & DINETTE. TILE FLOOR INSTALLED IN FAMILY ROOM AND ENTRANCE WAYS TO HOME.
