There was only one person that came out and it took about 2 hours. The area was clean after they finished. The communicated with me well.

This review does not reflect on the serviceman, only his company. A geothermal heat pump installed by Vincent R Boltz stopped working after 9 1/2 years. A service man from Vincent R Boltz came out twice to find the problem. After the 2nd visit he said there was a Freon leak but he couldn't find it. He said the unit may not be worth fixing because it was only a few months away from being out of warranty. Warranty covered parts but not labor. A few days later I received 2 bills totaling over $1,050. The sales manager who took almost 3 weeks to get back to me with a quote on a new unit said he doesn't get involved with service billing and said they didn't break the unit so they shouldn't have to honor any warranty when pricing a new unit. I tried 3 times to talk to the company owner about the very high bill with nothing of value in return. He never got back to me. I finally ended up filing a complaint with the BBB. That got a response and an offer to cut the bill in half. I am a forgiving person so I accepted that. As a comparison, during this ordeal with Vincent R Boltz I contacted another company to look at my unit. He diagnosed and fixed the leak with warranty parts and charged less than what I had to pay Boltz. I am warm and cozy now and will not call Vincent R Boltz again.

Scheduling of appointment was easy and quick. Repair person arrived on time, was friendly and professional. Repair was made and work area was cleaned up. The cost of repair was near the estimate I was given. I also us Vincent R. Boltz company for AC and heat seasonal checkups. I am very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone.

The service was fine, the water heater repaired and the lines were flushed out properly. I even received a phone call from the technician to make sure the proper lines were located and capped off so he could see the problem(s) where the mulch clogged the system. No problem whatsoever with the work. The only problem we had was afterwards when we received the bill.I had a family member stay at the house until the technician would finish the water heater thermostat replacement. However, the family member did NOT stay the entire time the technician was outside flushing the drain pipelines. When we received our bill a few days later, we noticed we were charged for 3.5 hours of time. I thought that was quite long as I knew from talking to my family member the thermostat portion took very little time and when I spoke to the technician on the phone, he had was just clearing the second drain line (only had one more to go). What's even more important is we have a security system at our home with cameras. We looked at the replay of the day's events, arrivals, departures etc. We saw the technician was here for only 2.5 hours total. When we called the business the next day after reviewing our camera footage we were told by the assistant who answers calls the first customer of the day has to pay for travel time from the shop to the call site. The company has GPS and we were told the van was at our house from 0838 to 1115 hrs and the van never left our residence during that time span (which is true). This is 2.5 hours not 3.5 hours. We told them we do not intend to pay for their travel time because it was never mentioned prior to us placing an appt. for service, and the business is located only 15 min. from our home. Then we were told they would adjust the bill. We received a different bill the next day, that reduced the hours of service by only one half hour, not a full hour. No notation was made re: the first call of the day having to pay travel time on this bill either. It is a shame the customer service/professionalism is not on par with the repair service for this company. We have had them come to our home several times in the past and fully trusted them to be honest and forthright about time for billing. I am so glad we have a security system that allows us to double check things when discrepancies occur. If you call this company for service, make sure you know what time you are paying for or have a person present when repairs are made. The repair service is fine. I checked the web site prior to this posting and nothing states a requirement to pay for travel time.
Description of Work: We had our hot water heater (electric) thermostat break and it needed to be replaced (upper and lower). We also had landscape drainage lines in our backyard clog from mulch/debris and they needed to be flushed out.

I will always ask if I can get a same day quote before agreeing to any services. If I cannot they will not be asked to come out. In hind sight, I could have paid another service to verify the part number to make sure I had the 100% right information.
Description of Work: A technician from this company replaced my squealing fan motor in my furnace. The technician was professional and the repair resolved my issue. My problem I have with the company is poor customer service and questionable billing practices. The technician gave me a ballpark estimate on the repair cost. He couldn't give me an exact cost and informed me that the person who does the quoting was out of the office. Based on his ballpark quote I decided to have the furnace repaired. I had them perform services once before in the past for a minor issue and had a good experience, so I was comfortable with my decision. However, when I received the bill I was shocked at the price of the fan motor. Out of curiosity I did research on the fan motor and concluded that I was over charged. I left several messages to speak to the owner, after finding out he is the only person who sets the prices, to discuss if there was a mistake in billing. For two weeks of not being able to reach him I eventually paid him for the labor and a marked price for the part along with a letter stating I would like to discuss the billing. His response was an apology for not being available by phone and receipt from a vendor where he bought a part I assumed to prove my bill was correct. However, the description of the part was vague and the part number couldn't be researched online. I called the vendor, but they were unable to verify the part number as well. I called the vendor and gave them the model number of my furnace, but the representative said they couldn't search by model number. They said he needs the number off the part. I didn't feel comfortable removing the fan motor to check, which is why I called the service provider in the first place. Boltz then had me served by a constable for not paying the entire bill. The constable informed me that she was handing out 15 other summons from this company. I paid the bill and the court costs based on the fact I wanted this over didn't want to pay another servicer to come out to remove the fan motor to verify the part number.
