Since we aren't sure how long we plan to own our current home we opted to have Mr. Inch repair the current porch instead of spending thousands of dollars on replacement. Mr. Inch's son came to do the bulk of the work and completed the work in just a matter of hours. The work was satisfactory and now our porch looks nicer and I don't have to worry about any safety issues. We had two other estimates that were essentially the same in price but went with Mr. Inch since he said he could work it into his schedule fairly quickly. We wanted the work done before winter set in. The transaction was all verbal and I paid by check the day it was done to Mr. Inch's son. No complaints and I would recommend using them. If I would have opted for the more expensive replacement porch I would have requested a written estimate.
Description of Work: Called Mr. Inch to come to our home to give us an estimate to either (1) repair a crumbling cement block and concrete porch, (2) replace the porch with a similarly-sized new porch, or (3) replace the porch with a much larger new porch. He was prompt with his estimates for all three scenarios.

Randy came out to give me a fair estimate in June. I was going to be away, so we sheduled work for August. He and his son showed uo as promised. Did most of the work on the first day. We scheduled a second day to touch up and finish the chimney which only took a couple more hours. Both men were courteous, polite, cleaned any mess made and most importantly did a wonderful job with many a compliment from the neighbors. I would hire them again if I ever needed more brick masonry done.

The job went very well and they did an excellent job. Remarks above explains what they did.
Description of Work: He did our garage area by filling concrete on walls and then applying a certain type of paint that would adhere to wall and not peal. He also put in a brand new window. There were two young men, one which was the owners son who did the work. They did an excellent job. They were prompt, and very professional. We would use them again.

Will not deal with this individual in the future. When someone cannot honor my time, then I will not honor their business. Highly unprofessional!
Description of Work: Spoke to Mr Inch on the phone. He said he would be out to my house to give me an estimate on some work that we needed. He never showed nor did he call to cancel or reschedule.

Randy and Chris are very knowledgeable and explained everything that they were doing. I had a lot of questions which they were happy to answer. They are very nice people and a pleasure to work with. I gave a "C" for punctuality, but this wasn't entirely their fault. Randy was booked thirty days out, and then had a job to do in D.C. It took longer than expected, so my job was started about a month late. In the end, everything worked out fine, but I had to track Randy down when he did not show up when he had promised. Despite this scheduling problem, I would certainiy use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs masonry or concrete work. Chris came back following completion of the job (on a Saturday morning) to clean up the site. This was much appreciated. I didn't need to do a thing, and with Hurricane Sandy coming, I could spend time getting prepared for that.
Description of Work: The Inches replaced my front porch (brick) and three sections of sidewalk (concrete.) In late 2011, I learned that moisture on two of my basement walls was coming from my porch which was completely level and not draining, and my sidewalk which was tilting toward the house in two areas. Randy's son,Chris, did almost all of the work, with Randy coming near the end to work on the sidewalk. The porch and side walks were tilted slightly to allow for drainage away from the house.

Description of Work: They did a great job with the masonary work as well as the repointing of the chimney. They were great workers and I will definitely use them again and refer them to everyone ...in fact they ended up doing work for two of my neighbors who were also very pleased.

From the day they started the work continued interrupted only for weather. There were some surprises like wiring running behind the old wall that went nowhere, but the guys handled it all.
Description of Work: My basement entrance ramp was 50 years old and collapsing. Randy removed the old 25 foot long ramp and replace it with a traditional "bilco" door and step set up. The collapsing wall had undermined a 20X20 foot concrete pad. This was removed and replaced and the yard where the ramp had extended was regraded and top soiled. The walk beside the basement entrance leading to the back door was also replaced. Everything was graded away from the building for rain water runoff.

We did not end up buying the property and, therefore, had no need for masonry services.
Description of Work: Mr Inch examined the brick on a property, that we wanted to purchase, as follows:Cracks in bricks, missing bricks, foundation cracks, retaining wall cracks, and everything that needs to be repointed. He was extremely responsive and provided us with an estimate in record time!

Randy Inch Masonry repointed our chimney at HALF the cost of a local, well know chimney cleaning/repair service!! His work was completely professional and his crew was respectful and pleasant to talk with. They cleaned up each day as well. I had a 10 percent coupon to use for his service but decided NOT to use it becasue he deserved every penny for his outstanding work! Thanks so much, Randy!

Because of the storms, there were a lot of people who were waiting on his services and he had to put us on his list since the leaking wasn't severe. He told us it would take a while to get back to us but it only took about a month. When he came, his workers were in and out and finished within a day.

Mr. Inch responded to my e-mails promptly and completed the work quickly.
Description of Work: Mr. Inch replaced a 13 X 8 foot retaining wall in less than three days. Although it was not included in my estimate he repaired siding that had been damaged by the leaning wall. The work they did was beautiful, and he left the area neat and clean. He worked on my home as if it were his own.

Prompt in replying to my initial inquiry. I had gotten several estimates, Randy's was in the mid range. He initially estimated the job in October but was not able to fit me in until January. Fortunately the weather was not too cold when he got here to do the work. Randy was here the whole time and did the work on the pier rebuild himself. He provided close supervision to his workmen doing other parts of the job. It took a few days to get the job done b/c he had to work around other tradesman that were also here working on the property. He co-ordinated well w/ them and all work was done in an expedient fashion. I have no complaints about the work done or the demeanor of Randy and his crew. I am a happy customer. Randy is the kind of guy whose word is his bond and a hand shake is as good as a contract.
Description of Work: Repointed brick on the front of house above the dormer roof and rebuilt the pier that anchors the handrail. Also repointed the brick on the front of the common stoop that I share w/ my neighbor Sealed the front of house w/ silicone sealant above and below the dormer roof and also sealed the dormer roof shingles with silicone spray.
