 + -1 moreI just moved into our new home in April and was so disappointed in the condition the contractor left my lawn. The seed was that disgusting 🤢 contractor grade seed. I complained about the incompetent landscaper who had the audacity to tell me it is what it is and it will take a few years to look good, especially when they removed the topsoil and left me with clay. While visiting a neighbor, I could not help to notice their lawn was a carpet of green velvet. I asked how did they get a luscious lawn in such a short time and he commented “GRASSROOTS” and he explained it was his lawn service. I immediately called and spoke to one of the nicest and most honest professional businessman I ever met. He came next day and recommended to apply a soil fertilizer and in the fall aerate, over seed and apply compost. Below you will see 3 pics of before and 3 pics I just took a few weeks after Jay and his crew aerated, seeded and applied the compost. A miracle I cannot express how impressed I am with their integrity, honesty and the competence level is so high because they are passionate about their business and what they do. He will continue overseeing my lawn, in spite of me having an HOA who really mows the lawn. I now have my neighbor also using their service.
Description of Work: Aerated, over seeded, compost and fertilize and enrich my soil.

 + 0 moreService provided same day or next day that I had called last year. Paid cash at time of service. This year contacted Grass Roots by Angies List provider page link, had asked them to contact me re: becoming a customer so that they would remove snow when needed in winters (I work out of town a great deal). I received NO response to the messages.

Description of Work: Grassroots had excellant service. I was living out of state but had to maintain my yard in order to sell my house. The price quoted was great, and i was highly impressed by the work they did. Had I known how great they were I would have hired them even when I lived there. They did a much better job then I could, and because they priced based on the size of the yard it was really reasonable. I would use them again in a heart beat.

 + -1 moreProvided the service as requested on 09/14 and said they would come back to fertilize in two weeks. Were they here to fertilize ? Don't know. Never saw anyone come to fertilize the area. I am not saying they were not here, just can't validate they were here to fertilize. Did it myself.

 + 0 moreWe have a schedule of services performed by Grassroots. They come and go when the timing is correct and if it wasn't for our dog sometimes we wouldn't know they were here. During the winter they plow our driveway and it is always done in a timely manner. Their charge for mowing is a little pricey, but they are quick and clean up well after they are done.
Description of Work: Grassroots does all our lawn care and snow removal. They are prompt, fast and efficient. We are on a program of fertilizing and pest control and I do not hesitate to boast that we have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood! On 8/28/12 they fertilized our lawn.
