McMahan construction

McMahan Construction LLC did an amazing job on my house. They are a father and son team, and the masonry on my house is the best around!

They did a good job and kept me informed every step of the way. I was very pleased how quickly they came, worked continually till it was completed, and had great communication with me. I thought the overall price seemed high when all was finished. I would have preferred to pay 1/3 in the beginning, 1/3 in the middle, and 1/3 at the end, but had to pay 3/4 was paid up front, before the job was finished. I thought they did a good job with the footer to support the one side of our structure that was sinking and being pushed over the hill. The beams they fixed underneath were also done well. I thought a few others should also have been fixed. Clean up of rocks and debris could have been a bit better. It was hard to give me a fixed quote before starting so I had no idea that the end price would be over $3000 more, but still they did a super job.

These guys are the worst. The first time they showed up on time and looked at the job. The next day they called and gave me their bid. I told them they had the job and they gave me an estimated time of when they would start. When that time came i called them and they had no idea who I was. Once I told them about my job again they said they would be out in 2 weeks to start, ok great. 2 weeks later I call them again but they won't pick up my calls. I call from my wife's phone and they answer. Again they have no idea about my job and I have to remind them of the work. Keep in mind this is a father son team so I'm not talking to different people. I talk to the father or the son directly. They then tell me they need to come out again to look at the work. This time they are late to show up, he has no paper work on the previous bid, luckily I had written down his prices he gave me. They agree to do the job again and tell me they will start in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later guess what. I call him again and they say 2 more weeks to a month. I ask them if they still want the job or am I being passed over for higher profit jobs, they tell me no, they will be out and I am next on the list and I'm important to them. A few weeks later I call them and leave a message. This time the dad calls me back and said they can come and do the excavation in 1 week but they have no idea when they could do the block. I told them ok please come out when they can. I hired them in March. I called another company at the end of August without telling McMahon construction. The work is now done and McMahon has never called to come out to start. If you don't want the job I get it. Just tell the person you don't want to do it, that way they can find someone who does. Don't lie and say I am important , when you have no intention of doing the job. I will now have to do my framing during the winter thanks to these clowns. Please please please if you want your project done don't call these guys. This is a grade A *** hat company.
