John does high-end decorative window work, which is what we needed. He had some other commitments coming up, and suggested he could call me in a few weeks to arrange to come over. When I followed up, he set an appointment about a week or two later to see the work. He came over and gave an estimate to replace the two panes in our home. He came on the appointed day and time, and the wok went smoothly. The new panes were perfect, and if you didn't know which ones had been broken, you couldn't tell that the panes had been replaced. He was very pleasant and informative, carefully cleaned up, and we were very happy to pay him well for his work.
Description of Work: John Miller repaired two broken leaded glass windows in our living room. Only a few panes in different windows were broken, and we did not want to pay for total window replacements, but the broken diamond panes were obvious at the front and back entrances to our beautiful old home. John decided he could make and replace the broken panes in our home, without having to remove the entire windows and taking them to his shop. He came back to do the work on the appointed day, and was very neat and careful in doing the work at the two different windows. The work probably took about 2-3 hours.

We had to have our window repaired; we have leaded glass windows and he did a fabulous job. He does top quality work and was very responsive. He had the job done in a week or two; so it didn’t take very long. Overall, I was really pleased with him.
Description of Work: I used Allegheny Art Glass to repair our window probably about a month ago.

Our window contractor suggested we hire John Miller to make art glass panels instead of buying pre-made panels from window manufacturer. John came to the house to measure and gave us a good price (comparable to what it would have cost to have pre-made panels for one-of-a-kind hand made panels!). He worked with me on design & made excellent suggestions. He worked with the window contractor to finalize sizes and design and came to the house with glass samples so I could choose the glass myself. He built the windows with reinforcement for strength but hid it inside the leading so it is invisible. When the work was finished he installed the panels in the windows so that they are removable but look original to the house. Beautiful work. Some time later I noticed one piece of glass was not the color I wanted, so John came back to get the windows, changed the glass, and came back to reinstall. He made a real effort to minimize inconvenience to me. Excellent experience, beautiful work, and I will hire him again.
Description of Work: Replaced broken art glass in front door with new panel, designed, created & installed art glass panels in 5 other windows in house.
