This has been an unbelievable ordeal for Ms. Carr. Over a two year period, Ms. Carr, in good faith, assumed that Greydog Plumbing & Heating, LLC, would provide good skillmanship and integrity as they accepted multiple job requests at Ms. Carr's residence. Ms. Carr, in return, however, was left to deal with dangerous, inept workmanship that not only caused plumbing/heating infrastructure damage, but financial damage as well, encumbered by periods of grave personal endangerment. Given Ms. Carr's, along with many others', consistently negative experience with Greydog, I would strongly recommend, if not outright demand, that Angie's List remove them from their providers list immediately. I joined Angie's List to make sure I would avoid nightmare experiences such as this and, if Greydog Plumbing is not removed from the providers' list, I will not be renewing my membership and will be sure to advise family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, fellow parishioners and acquaintances to avoid Angie's List at all cost. I don't see the point in belonging if this is the caliber of providers to whom I'll be referred. I can go on Facebook and get better recommendations.
Description of Work: A friend of mine, Alicia Carr, in October, 2009 hired Greydog Plumbing & Heating, LLC, which is owned and operated by Rick Grocott, to provide her with full chimney liner replacement. In return, Ms. Carr received unsatisfactory, dangerous, incomplete workmanship. In January 2011, Ms. Carr was forced to call the local gas company twice due to a gas leak which was the result of Greydog's shoddy workmanship. In October 2012, Ms. Carr was informed by two independent sources that the chimney liner was never replaced. No chimney liner existed. Apparently, Greydog did just enough work to cause real damage to Ms. Carr's well being and house. Also in October 2012, Ms. Carr was forced to replace her hot water heater due to the improper installation of its flue performed by Gregdog when they "replaced her chimney liner." Any consumer can access information regarding a multitude of grievances against Greydog Plumbing or Richard Grocott which include, among other accusations, walking away from contracted work without returning the deposit to the customers at Court of Common Pleas Civil Case Dockets and Judgment Index (Delaware County Public Access System, http://w01.co.delaware.pa.us/pa/publicaccess.asp), or they can call the Lansdowne Borough Code Enforcement Dept and speak directly to John Gould, Code Enforcement Officer. Ms. Carr did submit a letter to the Code Enforcemenet Department of Lansdowne Borough, which I intend to forward to Angie's List along with its enclosures which document Ms. Carr's interactions with Greydog.
