Description of Work: Installed a transfer switch panel for portable generator for my house, and replaced some malfunctioning switches in my home, This required a visit to my house and a return visit one week later with 5 hours of work.

He completed each task quickly and efficiently and even offered to reduce the price when he did not have to access the attic as he originally thought. I am very pleased and would both recommend him and use him again.
Description of Work: Jim installed 2 new light fixtures, one requiring new wiring, replaced a ceiling fan with new switches, corrected the installation of 2 existing lights, installed 2 dimmer switches, and ran conduit for 3 new outlets in a basement.

I had purchased a replacement exhaust fan for the bathroom but he recommended and purchased a much better fan for us that had a very small difference in cost.It works great and is very quiet. He also put in boxes and installed 2 ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms. I have also had previous work done, he is reasonable with price and does excellent work.

 + -1 moreNice guy, and I am sorry I wasted his time; I would use him again for something less complicated and involved.
Description of Work: John came out the week after I called to give me an estimate for replacing ceiling fan wiring in an old house. He was prompt and professional, but he could not do the job without cutting into an old tin ceiling. Said snaking wires was not possible, and the old wires actually looked OK. He took a look at the ceiling fan I wanted to put in and said it was the wrong size and would hang too low. I would be better off with the old-but-functional one I had just removed. He did not charge me for the visit.

 + -1 moreThe light in my pantry and the outlet in my foyer stopped working. I called J Walter Electrical on a Friday afternoon to make an appointment. I expected him to say that he would come the following week, but instead he came that day. He assessed the problem by checking all the surrounding outlets and found the problem. He even replaced the pantry light fixture with a new one I had purchased.
Description of Work: J Walter came to my home the same day I called him, a Friday afternoon, and repaired my non-working pantry light anf foyer outlet.
