Hughes recommended a two day move which we agreed to. The move went well but we did have an issue that we weren't thrilled about. We had two different crews on each day. At the conclusion of day one, we were told that our crew was being pulled to provide service to a commercial Hughes client. It never occurred to us to ask for the same crew to ensure consistency and minimize time to familiarize the movers with the old home and the new home. We were very happy with the day one crew and OK with the second day crew. We would use Hughes again despite this switch.

Hughes relocation provided a prompt estimate in line with or below others we received. They estimated one large truck for our move, but quickly arrived with a second when it became clear it would not all fit in the first truck. They stored our belongings overnight and arrived the next afternoon at our new home after closing. The crew worked as quickly as possible in very hot conditions. The move cost was slightly above the estimate as the loading took longer than expected. Overall the experience was very positive.

The experience was fine overall. One of the employees in particular was fantastic to work with. To save money, we tried to do as much as we could ourselves, and within an hour, she was able to organize everything that we’ve done and then helped us finish everything else.

I've used Hughes before for moves and been very pleased, but this was the best experience of all. The estimate was in my e-mail inbox less than 5 minutes after the estimator left my apartment, and the moving coordinator was responsive and helpful. Jose and his team arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, and they worked very hard, continuously, for the rest of the day with only one short break. They were exceptionally careful with my home and with my possessions. They wrapped all furniture in pads, and placed my mattresses in new, fresh-out-of-the-package zippered bags. The apartment was emptied within a few hours, and they went directly to my new building. I was very impressed with the care they took in my new home. I had just had the entire place painted and carpeted, and they laid pads down on the carpet, all the way through the living room and down the hallway, before bringing in the hand trucks. I don't think the wheels ever touched the carpet. They were very careful when bringing furniture into the rooms, not to bang into any walls. It was a pleasure to watch them work, they functioned very well as a team and were amazingly efficient. All in all, they did a fabulous job, and I would highly recommend them. They were pleasant, professional, and respectful, and there was no damage whatsoever to any of my possessions, or to my home. I thought the price was entirely reasonable, and in fact was about the same as the last time I moved 12 years ago, which is amazing. The best possible experience you could wish for with a moving company.

Overall this was as positive an experience as moving can be. On time, professional, clean, reasonably priced and responsive. What more do people want. Excellent work in both Philadelphia and Florida

They were absolutely fabulous and it is a family run business. I spent about $3000 on that service. They were certainly worth the money I paid and I have never moved long distance before and it was worth piece of mind. They really went above and beyond and did an exceptional job.
