Black Mold I contracted with Bucks County Wholesale Kitchens to remodel my second floor bathroom. Total job was $16000. The job was completed in July 2018. In April of this year (2020) I noticed water dripping from the ceiling. I opened up the ceiling to investigate. I was unable to locate the origin of the leak but it occurred after the use of the shower. I finally had a plumber come out to inspect and he identified the presence of black mold resulting from a long term leak that he diagnosed as improperly installed flood pan. I contacted Bucks County Wholesale and have now been waiting for more than two weeks for them to inspect the work with the hope of getting it repaired. Who knows. Now I am living with black mold and I’m sure the area under the shower pan is chronically wet which could lead to structural damage. Still no response from Bucks County Wholesale. According to my plumber the shower floor, the bottom row of tiles in the shower and at least part of the tile floor in the bathroom needs to be ripped up to access the problem and correct it. Then everything needs to be re-installed.

The living room of our 110-year-old-house was showing its age and needed to be freshened-up. But due to age and shifting, the plaster walls and ceiling had a lot of cracks. Any painter could have just painted right over it all, but Buddy, Kevin and their guys believe in doing things the right way. After much discussion we agreed that they would install drywall over the walls AND the ceiling, tape and sand it prior to painting. They fashioned and stained baseboard moulding before installing it. They also installed the crown moulding then painted everything. The guys were punctual, professional, very neat - cleaning the space after each visit - and a true pleasure to work with. They even rehung the extremely large mirror on one wall and a large painting on the other. They may specialize in kitchens and baths, but I would highly recommend these guys for any nature of contracting work. In fact, we intend to hire them again for more rooms.

We called Buddy and Kevin at 7:30 on a Saturday morning, in a panic because we couldn't strip the old wallpaper off the powder room walls. With new vinyl flooring scheduled for installation on Tuesday, we had to get the room finished. Their guys showed up at 2:00 on Saturday, tore out the old drywall with the glued-on wallpaper, cut and installed new drywall. Sunday they were back to tape and sand, Monday they installed trim and painted everything. The room turned out beautifully, they guys were professional and neat and a true pleasure to deal with. Oh, and they also installed a new pedestal sink. They saved the day by getting the room done before the flooring arrived and we knew then that we'd hire them in the future. (See another review!)
Description of Work: Last minute powder room rebuild due to stubborn wallpaper and new flooring on the way in 3 days.
