+ -1 moreGreat. I had been with Yarnell for several years now (home alarm system) and have always been treated great by their employees. Last week we had a outside camera system installed and the installer was really a "people"person. He did a great job at hiding the wires and taking the time (and patience) to show us how to work it. I talked to my son about Yarnell and after talking to them he is having an alarm system put in his home in Middletown, PA and Yarnell gave him the best quote. Highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Upgraded current 20 year old system and added monitoring. Local company. There are alot of ADT franchises but I find that very confusing and I wanted a local company who provided their own monitoring, not contracted with some company that they had no control over. Professional and not pushy. You need to be clear on what you want and talk through options because they will not just add on features. Seems all companies tend to provide a better deal if you add monitoring as part of the package.Received another estimate that was lower and after talking through with Yarnell, they were able to be more competitive on their quote. Installer was very professional and added a second motion dectector and decided to add security to basement windows which I thought was a very good idea. They followed up after getting us set up to ensure we were happy and answered any questions. They are available 24 x 7. I would recommend this company if you are looking for a security system. They also provide yard signs and window stickers which I recommend to make it clear outside the home that you have a security system. Consider a wireless and hardwire configuration. wireless is cellular and protects you if phone lines are cut. There is a $25 activation fee for it which they didn't tell us but no big deal. I think this is a reputable company and worthy of serious consideration.

+ -1 moreWe were very impressed with the initial contact and knowledge of the representative. After deciding to go with Yarnell, however, I was disappointed when the representative did not call or show-up the next day to do the paperwork and schedule the installation. We later learned it was due to a family emergency and after consideration, decided to go with them after all. The installation was done promptly, and despite stories I hear from other people, in the two weeks we have had it, there have been no false alarms. Everything works exactly as it is supposed to work. I will get back to the list if problems crop up later.
