Description of Work: Contracted tree pruning service, grown over planting bed revival and mulch delivery. Reasonable estimates were provided in a timely manor. Tree pruning work was carried out in a professional manor with thorough clean-up. Plant bed revival and mulch delivery work was done well and mulch was applied 2 inches thick (at least) as stated in the estimate and was dark and rich. Cost came in a few dollars below estimate. Will hire again and would recommend their services.

Description of Work: The landscape architect, Paul Squierdo, who helped us design our hardscaping/landscaping project was very professional and provided a creative design that met our every need. Dave and Dennis who actually performed the installation were really great in addition to doing a really professional job, they also took time to "socialize" they project with my neighbors.

Description of Work: I had a large hive of Bald Faced Hornets that were inside a wall of my barn. They came (on time) and reviewed the situation, scheduled a technician for two days later (also arrived on time) and completed the service. Charge was exactly what they quoted, and the bees are gone (and if not, they will come back and take additional action free of charge). VERY PROFESSIONAL.

Description of Work: We have an annual lawn care service with them. Have used them for many years. One year they applied a new weed killer that damaged trees. This was bad but they handled it very professionally and helped affected people get settlements from Dow Chemical.

Description of Work: I have an annual contract with them for my lawn care and fully expect to continue to utilize their services. Also, I have just contracted with them to freshen the landscaping and replacing damaged steps on the front flower bed. Pricing was a bit higher than expected but I know the quality of the work will be well worth every dime.

Description of Work: Tomlinson Bomberger may be slightly pricier than other companies, but there's a reason. Their customer service is unbeatable. I work with an account manager assigned to me, who oversees every service we receive. He couldn't be nicer or more on top of things. They work they do is impeccable. They even pointed out a tree they had killed (I didn't even know) and are working to get me refunded for it. I would recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreCompany obviously does not understand working in the city--probably only wants easy suburban work where it's easy to get their trucks near the trees. Told me that they couldn't do the work because the tree was near power lines and that it was PPL's responsibility. Told him that PPL takes care of pruning from curb to street, but homeowners have to trim from curb to home. Told me this wasn't the case. So I asked him why city gave out tree trimming permits to individuals for contractors to trim trees. Ignorant of city permits or who was responsible for tree trimming in the city. Do not bother to call if you live in the city (probably applies to Lebanon, Hershey, etc. as well).
Description of Work: Called for estimate to trim and thin tree in from of our Lancaster city home.

My lawn is the greenest in the neighborhood and grows twice as fast as my neighbors (which can actually be annoying when I have to mow again while he's just drinking beer). The lawn is beautiful, though, and the kids love it. It's a luxury to have Tomlinson, but one I enjoy.
Description of Work: Tomlinson cares for my lawn, doing fertilizer and pest control. They arrive on the schedule my lawn needs, without me needing to contact them. As long as I keep paying the bills, they keep showing up.

 + -1 moreThe quote was around $500. It included having them come in and do whatever your lawn needed. Shrub patrol, lime service, and things like that were on it. Every time they came out and put some treatment down and anything they saw that needed treatment they would care for that too. I spoke with the gentleman who came out and gave me the quote--he was very knowledgeable and spent an hour with me going over different types of grass seed to plant in different areas of my lawn. I appreciated that very much. They are a little bit more expensive--so keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

 + -1 moreThey did a very good job! We got several bids, and they were the only ones who presented a fair plan and really listened to what we wanted. They also trusted us to leave the plan, which is one of the reasons we chose them; the other showed us plans, but did not leave them, and we couldn't remember what they were! I guess they are afraid you'll have someone else implement their plan. One company did NOT listen to what we wanted (Red Oak), and another just made a plain plan to fit the amount (Jim's). Anyway, the company did a very nice job, and followed up on all counts. We are planning to use them for a regrading/upgrade issue in another area of our property.
Description of Work: They landscaped our very plain yard to make the property more attractive. We were never able to put a cohesive plan together.

 + -1 moreAt the beginning of the year, they set a spraying schedule for the year. They come responsibly and do a quality job. It's easy to refer a reputable company like this. In fact, my neighbor now uses them as well.
Description of Work: They come out 4 to 5 times per year to spray for grubs and weeds as well as fertilize the lawn. We have a good sized lawn to maintain. We have an annual service agreement for this service.
