2 No Call No Shows THAT RESULTED IN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGES. Contacted their legal department after they refusednto.handle this situation. The following email is what I sent them. DO NOT TRUST THUS COMPANY!!! Good evening. Thank you for the email. It is clear that perhaps both litigious action needs to move forward against Terminix as well as each employee that was involved in this situation, to include the misrepresenting of the individual who called and stated he was the branch manager and then ignored my situation when he left for military duty. What sending these pdfs it demonstrates an attempt to deny wrong doing by assuming that a regularly scheduled treatment excuses the contractual obligation of your company to perform.inspections when requested by the client. Where as an infestation may not be evident during regular inspections it does not mean that an infestation occurs between them and it was your job to ensure that the contractually obligated requested inspections were completed; this did not occur. Instead your staff and company ignored my requests and when scheduled on two occassions were no call-no shows with a promise to have a technician arrive at my home as guaranteed. I clearly communicate a potential mite infestation due to the dust I noticed and collected in a bag for the technician tasked to be at my home could inspect. Due to the time that passed damage did in fact occur so you could expect that I will go forward with litigious action against both your company and all employees involved in the failure and misleading conduct that occurred. I have sent a detailed demand to the individual you referred me to in your legal department making it clear that as a combat veteran with severe PTSD that I would seek both damages to my home but punitive damages against all individuals involved for the failures that resulted in thus situation. They missed our first appointment window (I waited 2 hrs for them, took time off work, and got a call within 10 min of time window being over that they couldn't make it, to reschedule). Second appointment the inspector shows up, I sign a contract with them and schedule the first visit for the next day (to actually do the treatment). They never showed, so I waited for 2 hrs for them, again, taking time off work. I cancelled the contract on the spot. Also, as part of their pitch, they say they use 'commercial strength' bait for mice/rats, and that you need a license to use it... I'm not sure if this is true or not for companies, but as a home owner, you can just buy the stuff on any online retailer... no 'license' required and there's plenty of products out there with 'commercial strength' (same as what they use) that you can buy perfectly legally. I bought all this myself for less than the price of one single visit... fyi. Hence my ratings for service and price.

Did a great job with price less than other exterminators in the area!

I did not actually use their services. I did not have a very positive experience with the technician who came out. He came out and seemed very elusive. I had asked for a written estimate and he was hesitant to give me that. I didn't feel that what he did give me as an estimate was supportable because he basically said that he was guessing. So I didn't really care for Terminix. They did work around my scheduling very well. They were there on time. I think the technician was fine until I actually asked for a written estimate and I started asking questions as to how if they couldn't specifically tell me if I didn't have any pests. How they could come up with a cost structure for it. I wouldn't say it was a poor reflection on the company more towards the technician.

We've been using Terminex for years and have been happy with them. This review is *only* for the local Lancaster Terminex office and our regular technician. This review does *not* apply to customer service from the Memphis Office.

“I called to get a report once or twice and they never gave me a report and that was a little disappointing”

We had a very, very small area of wood beetle damage that needed to be treated before our lender would approve our mortgage loan. The representative called to reschedule the first appointment after I had been waiting for close to 2 hours and came very close to the end of our appointment window on the second day. After looking at the damage, he advised me that they would have to treat the entire basement at the tune of $530. This is after our real estate inspector said this was a very minor treatment that should be $100 or less. After I argued and said there was no way I was paying $530, the rep called his boss and asked what I thought was a fair price. I offered $200 and they countered at $350. I told them I would call around for other estimates and this obviously bothered the representative. He left in a bit of a huff. I called another local exterminator who took one look at the amount of damage, laughed and said he would treat the damage on the spot for FREE. I will now be a loyal customer of that exterminator and will never use or recommend Terminix to anyone. It was obvious they were trying to take advantage of me and the situation.

They seemed reasonable and they had a good story. It seemed at the time that the cost was appropriate. They seemed to be very responsive. The quality seems good.

I did not end up using their services.

They are very professional and they told us to give them a call if we ever see a moth again. They got rid of everything right away.

On 9/14/2013 a pest inspector arrived on time and performed an excellant inspection of the inside and ouside of my home. He found insect cocoons and debris inside my home which he could not identify and took samples which he would send to a lab for identification. He recomended a spray treatment. I signed a contract and paid in advance for a year's service. On 9/18 the technicians sprayed and placed bait inside and outside my house. I questioned the type of outside bait stations being used because some were sticking out of the ground and would make mowing difficult. I was under the impression that the bait stations would be buried. I also asked about the insect sample . They did not know but would get back to me. On 9/20 I called about the sample. Will get back to me. I assumed by then they had probably lost it. On 10/01 I received a bill for $667.80 which was more than the signed contract. I called Terminix and was told the bill was in error. I asked for a corrected invoice and was told that one would be sent to me. I also inquired about the insect sample. I was told a manager would contact me. As of 10/22 I have not received a corrected invoice or a phone call.

I had a carpenter doing some work at the garage exterior man door and he found what he thought was termites. I call their office for an inspection. Dwayne can out and verified that it was termites. They had caused minimal damage to the door frame. He created a plan for my home and a price. Over some discussion on price and what was to be done over a few days, I agreed to have the procedure done. They had two men come out and do the ground injections and bait stations were installed around the exterior of the home. A foam injection was also performed at the location in the garage wall where there was evidence where termites were working. All the work was done with knowledge and professionalism. The process took about two hours and everything was cleaned up when they left.

They were prompt, and the tech was nice. He explained things well and told us to call him right away if we had any further problems. They were flexible about setting up the appointment - we rescheduled with no problems.

I don't think they're very good. They just show up whenever they want. They don;t make appointments with you or anything and so they'll show up in the middle of my workday and only will be able to do the outside of my property. I have to call them and I have to try to reschedule for a Saturday and then I have to wait around for them to get there. I think their price is comparable. They do a good job when they're there.

Home was sprayed both inside and outside. Have not seen any bugs since. Was told that they would come back between quarterly servicing if any pests are seen.

Excellent! Found all kinds of wood crumbs on the deck floor along with dead larve. The interior of the house was just at my request. I had seen a couple of black spiders. One spider is enough for me.

I have been using them for about 4 years. They are excellent and I am very happy with them. Their price is reasonable.

Again, the man they sent to actually do the work was methodical and thorough. But overall I think they could improve in terms of letting a customer know specifics about such an important subject involving top dollar.

Terminix's call center leaves a lot to be desired. We have called several times for extra service calls due to an ant problem, and more than once they have either never gotten back to us, or have said that a technician will be out on a certain day, only for them to never show. We have gotten to know our primary technician, and he has been frustrated with the call center's issues, too, so he has allowed us to call him directly whenever we need an extra service. In fact, he calls US when he's in our area to see if we need him to stop by.. THAT is customer service.

There mice caught. Not liking the bait, but the glue traps are working wonderfully!

I would recommend their services. My experience with them has been excellent.

They have lived up to what is in the contract. They come here at least once month to check their traps, inspect the house and if needed, spray some insecticides. The insecticides that they use are also human-friendly. Their staff are very professional and responsive to our needs.
