Description of Work: I had purchased a whole house electrical inspection which went fine. They arrived early by about 30 minutes and spent adequate time reviewing their findings and recommendations. The inspector was supposed to send me the report via emai which I have not yet recieved. May be a problem with the email system since I know he tried to send it. My biggest concern is that the cost of additional services seems very high although I have not yet comparison shopped.

We presented this customer with our straight-forward, upfront pricing for the desired repairs and services before proceeding with any work. After we received approval, we completed the work as planned. At the completion of the job, we evaluated our price and voluntarily lowered the price to be more consistent with the work done. We tried to reach out to the client to explain our decision, but our call was never returned. We are thankful for the business and critique, and would welcome continued discussion on this matter.

Description of Work: Service call was 1) to check reason for no electricity to back deck.....result was tripped GFIs. 2) replace motion detector light with a newer model I purchased elsewhere 3) move old motion detector to a new location which needed install and wired. Approx time technician was here was 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Original charge was $577.00 plus I agreed (over the phone) to a power club fee of $99.00. That was before I knew what the bill would be. The power club member gets 15% off the bill so the total including the power club fee was $590.00 After I called the manager and objected to the charge of $247.00 (the 15% discounted fee) to discover a tripped ground fault breaker, I was given a credit of $124.00 I was absolutely shocked by this company's charges. I was expecting to pay no more than $245.00 for the entire service. I caution anyone who is going to have this company do work for them to get a total estimate first, then figure being charged the higher end of the estimate. (I learned my lesson here). This company is not for someone on limited income. Because I paid the $99.00 power club fee this includes a future inspection which I will have done. If there is a problem it is extremely unlikely I will use this company for repairs. And beware..the "$29.00 professional service call fee" was actually a "transportation fee" from the company to my house. We were told it was a gas fee to drive the truck here!

Thank you for your feedback on our services. We are sorry you feel dissatisfied. In this particular case we were communicating with the client via phone since she was unable to be there. Upon arriving at the home, we investigated the situation (part of our service call fee) and determined what work would need to be done. At this point, we discussed the options with the daughter of the client (who was at home) and made a phone call to the client to present the upfront, straightforward price. This was done before any work was completed to be sure that the client agreed to the price. After receiving a verbal authorization, we proceeded with the work as planned. When performing electrical service, it is our practice to present the options and price upfront, before any work has begun. We stayed true to this practice with the client and we did not raise the price after receiving her authorization. In regards to the price adjustment. Diagnosing electrical failures can be a quick or labor intensive procedure. We have a circuit diagnostic price set assuming that it could take a lengthy amount of time to solve. In this particular case, the problem was diagnosed fairly quickly and we were willing to reduce the price accordingly. As far as the “professional service call fee,” this is fairly standard in the home services industry. It allows our technician to arrive at the house and investigate the situation before presenting a price to a client. We highly value our electricians and their professional expertise in understanding complicated electrical problems. It is because of their skills and the service call fee that we are able to present an exact price before any work is done. It is our desire to provide a premier service experience from beginning to end. Again, we value the feedback of our customers. Thank you for your business.

Description of Work: I had two odd electrical issues. The puck lights under my kitchen counter turned on occasionally, but I couldn't count on them and they would go off sometimes when I did manage to get them turned on. The fan/light comination in our shower tripped the overload on humid days and both would shut off. The fan light was replaced, but I won't know if the problem is solved until summer and another very humid day. The puck lights are fixed. I had purchased two ceiling fixtures--one for the top of the stairs and the other for the foyer. The price for installation of each was much more than the value of the lights and I opted not to have them installed. While the workmanship was good and the electrician was very nice and neat, it cost much more than I think I would have paid for an independent electrician.
