Description of Work: I have used Leffler for several years for delivery of fuel oil only. I have never run out of fuel, esp during the winter months, so their usage calculations for my home have been correct. I use the budget plan for paying for the fuel oil.

Description of Work: Replaced Heat Exchanger in the Furnace. Service went well, furnace has been performing fine since Exchanger was replaced.

Description of Work: Annual maintenance of oil furnace plus 24/7 emergency service contract. The GOLD plan. I forget exactly how much it cost $350-$400, I think. We had originally been scheduled for December, but were asked to postpone our service because they were dealing with several emergencies that resulted from the sudden cold. The woman I talked to said the service department would call to reschedule. When they didn't call back to reschedule, I called them. We have been with |Leffler's since 1976.

Description of Work: Person never showed up on the day designated to give an estimate. I called and got the answering service. They never called back until 10:00 a.m. the next day to tell me the person was on vacation. They sent out another person that was not as qualified to give an estimate according to my husband. Didn't seem very professional to my husband.

Description of Work: Leffler's serviced the oil furnace under the "Gold" maintenance agreement that I purchased. We have used Leffler's since Carlos R. Leffler was actually alive and running the company. I wasn't sure if the change of ownership would provide the same quality of service as in the past, but so far I have not been disappointed. There are cheaper sources for oil, but I want the 24 hour emergency service and furnace repair service that Leffler's provides. When it was time to replace our old furnace a few years ago, the particular service contract I had at the time gave us 50% off the price of a comparable furnace. We chose the most energy efficient oil furnace available and saved $1500. The installers had to cut the old furnace apart to get it out of the basement, but they did a great job and did not leave a mess. They advised us about the new furnace and answered all our questions.
