Lancaster County Roofing

Originally ok although the owner Dennis Petratos was difiicult to communicate with and schedule. He would come and go as he pleased with out informing us. We later developed a leak and found that he had failed to replace the chimney flashing removed during the process. We have a written 10 year warranty that he provided. He stopped out, took a look and agreed they forgot the flashing. He also stated that the rubber boots around the plumbing vent stacks were defective and he would replace them. He then never returned our calls over a period of weeks. We sent him certified mail and utlimately had to engage another contractor to fix the roof. We sued Lancaster County Roofing in small claims courts and won a default judgement. He has continued to refuse to pay the award and we have now placed a lien in his business. The local constable said he had been there before and "knew the ropes" of how to play the system. I provide this review so that others may avoid getting a shoddy job and going through the trouble we did. Stay away!

They had never installed the flashing properly that caused one of the leaks. The roof is still under warranty. I contacted him to come out and he admitted to faulty installation. He caulked around leaky areas and there still was a leak. He acknowledged that the caulking was a temporary fix. He also agreed that the flashing and three stacked boots needed replacing. I have called him repeatedly and still haven't received a response in a week.
