They gave a price that was lower than a second quote I had received and I was initially impressed with there work. But later after the project was finished I realized they had missed some small spots and had overlooked some large areas that made the attic space very cold in the winter and hot in the summer. They refused to take responsibility and told me it was a 'pre-existing' condition. Not impressed and will never use them again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I could write a book about how crooked this company is. Not upfront about their pricing. Only needed to do 1 of the 4 walls they quoted and still got billed entire estimate. When I called to look into it I was given a story about how they used more insulation than they thought and was given a 15% discount- for them doing a quarter the amount of work. Then suddenly there is a job minimum I wasn't told about, which was covered by the second job they did on the same day, yet they want to hold me to the "minimum" plus some. Finally, the wall they did blow insulation into was only half filled- the bottom half never received insulation as there was a board in the way. So they did one half of one wall and want to charge me for over half of what 4 walls cost. P.S. the installers were friendly, professional and did a great job in the basement. However, they even mentioned to my husband how they just did a job that the owner was screwing the homeowners on. Sounds like a pattern. Avoid this company!!

They were prompt. The estimate was good and they completed the work as they estimate. No issues.

Keener was great. It was easy. The work was good. The work was done within a couple of hours. The room was as clean as I expected it to be. It was clearly laid out beforehand and how they left everything was satisfactory. I already recommended them a couple of times.

We obtained three quotations from three different contractors to install insulation in the ceiling of our garage. Keener quoted a lower RValue (19) insulation than the other two contractors. Two other contractors quoted a higher RValue for the insulation. We hired one of them because we felt that we needed more insulation, not less. We did talk to the estimator at Keener about this, but he insisted that we only needed R19. This, of course, was less expensive than what we ultimately had installed by another contractor. Keener may have been correct, and possibly, we should have contracted them, but we just didn't know and we felt that more must be better.

Overall it was a very good experience. When I called for an estimate to have our existing attic insulation checked Dan Keener was here within a short period of time. He was very knowledgable, thorough, polite and honest. Did not try to oversell to me. He explained the whole process to me and it was exactly as he stated. I received an estimate within days and scheduled having more insulation blown into our attic space to bring the R factor up. On the day that the job was done the two man crew showed up on time and were experienced. It was a very smooth and clean process. Nothing for me to clean up after they left. I highly recommend Keener Insulating!

Their service was ok, as far as calling and their promptness in keeping the appointment. Jumping further ahead in the story, I looked in the phone book for another company, and their price was half of what Keener's was and they used a good quality of insulation. I have a lot of recessed lighting in my ceiling and Keener wanted to charge me $50 for insulated boxes to put over these lights. I asked him why it was so expensive, and he said they had to custom make each one. I asked the other company about this, and they said that they don't custom build them, they buy them so they would be about half of what Keener's would be. I ended up not using Keener for this job. Based on the estimate Keener gave me and what I ended up paying, I felt like Keener was using me.

We have an older home with no insulation. We decided our first step should be insulating the attic. Keener gave us an estimate for the work and did a good job. Very quick. The workers were great and showed up on time. However the estimator is very hard to get in touch with. I had problems getting him to come out to give the estimate. I called them again recently to give us an estimate for insulating the walls. The estimator left a message saying he could come on such-and-such a day, but it didn't work for me and I left a message with the receptionist asking him for another option. He never called back. They seem to do good work, but I am not sure it's worth all the effort of trying to get them to come out to do an estimate.

We were on vacation when the job started. From all accounts it went well. When we returned from vacation, we noticed cigarette butts and an open utility knife in our yard. Since we have children, we found this to be pretty un-professional. The actual work however, was performed very well. They were unable to insulate a portion of the home because it actually already had insulation in the walls. After one phone call, they knocked a couple hundred bucks off the final bill due to the fact that it didn't need to be insulated.
