Worse than the 10 yr old pair I just got rid of. $1700 "cosmetically damaged" Christmas present to myself that is ****. Less than the $2000 I would have spent but they DONT WORK and now I have to REPLACE MY FLOOR!!! I wanted to support a local business...this local business does not care what they are selling to the people of their community. The best they can do to resolve my problem? Sell me a different POS dryer bc their salesman sold me something he should not have: "if you have a vented dryer you should have stayed with the vented dryer" per Tony, sales manager when I called to resolve this. Thieves. How do you sleep at night knowing you are selling faulty machines? DO NOT BUY FROM HERE - just go to the big box chain. EDIT TO ADD 12/18/20: It has now been a week with no response from K&A - VERY quick to acknowledge people that give high stars... can not take the time to own up to the junk and scam. Excellent display of professionalism and expertise! *insert eye roll*

We called K & A after a friend gave us a positive referral. The receptionist stated she would call back the next morning. We did not receive a call back until the afternoon, and were told, "sorry...I forgot about you". An appointment was set with a time frame of 9a-12p. My boyfriend took the morning off from work for this service call. He received a phone call that day to say the service call would have to take place later, and the time was pushed back to 2pm. At approximately 3pm, the technician called to say he was on his way. At this point, I returned home from work and was present during the service call. The service technician looked at the washing machine for approximately 7-10 minutes. He stated the brakes, or clutch would need replaced however, the machine would have to be taken to the shop. I asked the serviceman to explain why the machine would only make the grinding noise during the load sensing cycle, and not during other cycles he was unable to answer. The serviceman then stated, "when the clothing is in the machine, it weighs it down and makes the noise." This made no sense to me, and I began asking more questions. My boyfriend came in during this conversation, and began to ask for a ballpark figure for a new clutch or brakes. The serviceman became nervous, and stated he didn't know because this was a new machine. I informed the serviceman the machine was 8 years old. He responded, "Wow, it looks new because it's so clean." He then stated he was going to call his supervisor, and would let us know how much this repair would cost. He went out to his van, and drove away. We immediately called another local company who set up an appointment, and asked pertinent information regarding the machine to pre-diagnose problems in the event the machine could be fixed in the home. We have never heard back from K & A, which leads us to believe there is something fishy going on there. Our friends who purchased a stove from this company now has a different view on the company, as the stove purchased already broke. On a side note, LH Brubaker's came to the home promptly at the set time, and was able to diagnose the problem immediately, which was the transmission. We were also told our machine DOES NOT HAVE BRAKES!!! The only positive report to give K & A is the serviceman was a very pleasant person.
