Outstanding in every way!
Description of Work: We had a membrane patio roof that had not been terminated properly years ago and subsequently pulled away from the house attachment points. Daniel King assessed the repair and came up with an ingenious solution that none of the other contractors had even considered.

Daniele came out to the house and saw the issue immediately. His price was extremely reasonable and he had his team out within a week. The problem was resolved. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for roofing or gutter work.

Description of Work: He corrected the pitch on the porch roof and ordered matching shingles so the new looks just like the old. He reshingled another small roof, adding a layer of ice and waterguard. He asked me about what color shingles I wanted so he could arrive prepared.

+ -1 moreEverything went smoothly. He came one week later with his team and finished the job in about one and a half days. Everything was done beautifully. He is a very honest person as he told me exactly how many sheets of plywood was used after he found out they miscounted the number. They were also very professional. They cleaned up very nicely and nailed down the loose gutter while they were up on the roof without extra cost. They did everything the right way. I'm very happy about their work and would strongly recommend Elmer's to anyone. Great job, Elmer's!
Description of Work: Daniel was honest and responsive. We had two rental properties that may need roof replacement. He told us that one of them could still last maybe five years and the other one needs replacement. He went on the roof to check the roof conditions, while some other roof companies just used their so-called satellite pictures to determine the cost and didn't even bother to come to take a look. He was quick to provide quotes and the quote was reasonable and affordable to us. He also told us possible extra cost if plywood needs replacement. So we went with his company to replace the roof for one of the properties.

They were very conscientious about cleaning up all debris, nails, old shingles etc. I received three quotes for the same job and by far Elmer's Roofing was the most reasonably priced for a very professional job.

His estimate was very reasonable. His workers arrived on time to start the job, and worked diligently to complete the job in three days (which is what he had estimated). They were very careful workers and cleaned up after every day. The roof looks great! Overall, we feel that Daniel provided outstanding workmanship at a very fair price. We would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: We hired Elmer's Roofing to replace the very old roof on a house we had just purchased. This involved removing two layers of shingles and installing GAF architectural shingles.

He was very informative and didn't try and sell me things that weren't needed . Did give me a timeline( when asked) as too when I will need a new roof which was in line of what I had already thought. I will definitely keep Elmer's roofing in mind for other roofing needs as they arise.

+ -1 moreI contacted Elmer's Roofing to give me a quote for replacing my roof due to damage from a hailstorm. Needless to say there were a ton of roofers out there giving estimates to everyone in our neighborhood. I had used Elmer's to do my roof around 8 years prior and knew they would be good quality. I had gotten other unsolicited quotes from the other roofers and Daniel was not the cheapest but he beat all but one on price. I would not have used anyone else because I knew Daniel's and Elmer's Roofing quality was top notch from using them previously. Daniel had bought the company since we last used them but the service was just as good if not better. He called me, checked on the job while they were there and called me after the job was done. I could not ask for a better group of workmen. They were courteous, clean and did not waste a minutes time. They were working in the midst of a cold spell that, with the wind, brought temperatures of close to 0 and winds that I feared would blow them off the roof. We have one of the steepest driveways in the world and the truck with the shingles could not make it up. They took their equipment and hauled it up to the yard pallet by pallet. No complaints and no delay. They cleaned up the whole yard at the end of each day and left the place cleaner than when they got there. If you need a roof and want it done right - call Elmer's Roofing!!!

Description of Work: Elmers Roofing replaced missing shingles on my roof. This company came through when others that I called would not (e.g., $500.00 minimum or we don't service your area, that's strange your ad says you do!, etc.) John, the person that I spoke to (at Elmer's Roofing) was able to fit me into their schedule and they completed the work to my satisfaction (i.e., a good job). We will call them in the Spring to have some additional work done. Under the circumstances (blown off shingles, exsposed wood and a snow storm coming in less than 10 hours, I rate this company an A +.

Description of Work: This firm had a "Big Deal" for a new roof, but our roof is larger than the scope of the deal specifications. So I contacted them for an estimate, stating that I had seen the Angie's List deal but my roof was larger, and that I assumed they would use the deal price as the starting point, then add on the additional materials & labor for the size of my roof. I did NOT expect the same price for a larger roof! Daniel contacted me right away and came out within 2 business days to do an estimate. He arrived promptly and was very professional. I again mentioned the Angie's List deal to him. The estimate arrived in the mail right away, but I was floored when I saw the price. It was nearly twice the price of the Angie's List "big deal," but there wasn't nearly twice as much work that needed to be done. I tried contacting Daniel right away, but he didn't respond. When finally talked to him, he said the company had been sold and the Angie's List coupon had expired. And that he could not honor the price and just add on my additional work to it. However, when I went to the website immediately after speaking to him, the "deal" was till up. I called him back and left a message to that effect, but never heard back. And the next day the "Big Deal" was gone. This company was unethical, in my opinion, and it appeared to be using the old "bait and switch" technique. While that "Big Deal" was advertised on Angie's List, they should have honored it. I was very happy with the service I'd received to that point, but once I called them on the disparity between the deal pricing and their estimate, they stopped being responsive.

I collected quote from MANY POPULAR ROOFERS.. 1) Top 5 Rated GIF Roofer - Salesperson came to house and showed all GIF products said - We will take picture of your roof from Sat-lite - Showed me GIF products - Gave me Verbal Quote for 35,000 $ for 2200 Sq Ft roof - Later gave me discount and final verbal quote was 29,000 $ but still not giving me paper quote. 2) Another Top 5 GIF Roofer - Same situation but he gave me quote for 20,000 $ . Showed me same kind of GIF products. I continued doing the research and every one was asking 10 K to 15 K. Finally Elmer came and gave me demo of his products and what made me excited was - Same GIF product which previous vendors gave me demo for 35 K , 20 K .....He was giving me in 6500$. - Explained me much in detail about his services Example - How he will change shingles , How many nails he will use , In case of wood replacement what action he will take etc etc - Gave me wonderful ideas I took his service and he was nothing but SUPERB AND EXCELLENT in his services. Did great job, would recommend to anyone.

+ 0 moreWe called Mr. Glick after seeing his sign in front of a few neighbors' houses and hearing good recommendations from all of them. He came out to give us an estimate the next day, and sent us his proposal promptly. When his estimated start date was pushed back due to weather, he called us to keep us posted on the changes. He and his crew were polite and thorough, arriving promptly each morning, completing the job quickly, and cleaning up meticulously. He called us a few days after the job was completed to make sure we were happy with everything and to see if we had any questions. His price was lower than any other estimate we received, but he used top-grade materials, including a high quality architectural shingle and a highly rated skylight.
Description of Work: Elmer's Roofing put on a new roof and installed three skylights for us. They removed our old shingles, inspected for previous water damage, installed new edging, ice and water guard, aluminum vents, and ridge vent. They cleaned out all gutters, thoroughly cleaned the yard and driveway, and hauled away all debris. They told us up front that they would do only the external fitting for the skylights, not the interior drywall/finish work, but they left a clean frame that was easy for our painter to drywall and finish.
