Description of Work: After there were multiple daytime burglaries on my block I called Clear Vision to install a 3M safety and security film on the old-fashioned single pane half window in my basement door. The installer was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable.

 + -1 moreScott was always prompt and considerate relative to our needs and schedules. The job was done to our outmost satisfaction and the film is doing exactly what we wanted, keeping the heat out and the temperature even inside, it also removes >99% of the UV (Ultra Violet rays fades furniture). Scott was very careful to make sure the windows were cleaned prior to applying the film. The most interesting issue with the film (bonus) is that it reduces glare, looking out everything seems clearer. If you are going to have film installed, my recommendation: Make sure you use a film that has no metal layer, they can corrode in a few years; Make sure the installer is serious about cleaning the windows or dirt will be trapped behind the film against the glass; Discuss the type of film to be used, interior vs. exterior (large windows you do want to use exterior, to avoid raising the temperature of the glass, preventing cracking) Discuss the film transmission rate, we used 40% for a skylight and 70% on vertical windows Jan Lindstrom

Description of Work: Clear Vision Window Film installed 3M film on all the windows in our house. The two-person team worked with great care and skill, and did a terrific job. We are very pleased with the results and look forward to many years of energy savings plus reduced fading of furniture, fabrics and flooring. Clear Vision Window Film provided an excellent value.
