 + -1 moreI use them a lot for my apartments. They are reasonable. When we re-schedule something, they are there exactly when they say they will be. Their price is very reasonable. The quality is good.
Description of Work: We use Carpet & Tile Mart all the time. The last time they were here, they installed a carpet and stairway runner.

They had a terrific salesmen and they were very accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about the company and they did everything I asked. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I had no problem scheduling the service.

 + -1 moreI have bought supplies from them in the past. The first paste I got was pretty expensive. I took the paste back and they were very courteous in exchanging the product for a different paste. They have competitive pricing. They are very helpful.

 + 0 moreThe service went very well. Their pricing is very reasonable. 3-4 technicians came out for the carpet and 1 came out for the wood flooring. They completed each service in about a day. The staff did a nice job, but could have looked more professional. They made scheduling very easy and I would use them again.
Description of Work: I hired the company for carpet installation for the family room, living room, upstairs and landing, and basement. They also did some wood flooring in an office.

 + 0 moreIt went well and everyone was very nice from sales and scheduling to install. I did have some questions after the project regards some differences in price and having to cut a check for the installer when the project was done that is still a bit confusing to me. I wish all of the invoicing had been handled by carpet mart and there were no "extras" to deal with even though it was not too bad. All in all we are happy though and things are holding up well. We will use them again I am sure, but will be sure to use those learnings as well when we talk about the install costs.
Description of Work: Removed old carpet and installed new carpet in out office entrance hall.

Description of Work: I bought carpet for whole house back in 2007 from Lwr Paxton store. After just six months is was still shedding badly. Manager said he would send someone out and did not. Two weeks later I went to store and talked with him face to face still no action. I would later learn the person who identified himself as the manager was not but a supervisor and was terminated thus my issue was never addressed |Now in 2014, I reluctantly went to the CarpetMart in Mechanicsburg after moving there to get carpet for newer home. The store was not busy whatsoever. There were 3 young women behind the counter. No one even asked if they could assist me. I went to them to get help. I stated I have some questions about carpeting. They all just looked at each other then one said...I guess I can. I began to walk to the carpets that I had questions about and she acted liked her feet were cemented to the floor and could not move. Then said give me a second, whispered something to one woman and then came from behind counter and walked to the one aisle with me. But when I asked about other types, she pointed and went back to counter. NEVER again would I ever set a foot in a Carpetmart.

 + 0 moreNot so well. It started off good, and I liked the per square foot price - it was better than my first quote. But then they charged me to measure and pressured me to put down a deposit. After they came and measured, the price quote was given. We insisted on a break-down of the price and they "nickled and dimed" the price. Quote was for carpet, installation, tear out, haul away, move furniture, dispose of it, and seam it to other carpet. Every single line item had a price - even the seaming was priced at $1 per foot! By the time the price was done, it was more than the first quote I had gotten which was an all-included price. Then, when I went to look at the carpet choices, I was told about the secret code on the back of the price tags - which meant there was a fault with the carpet. I had trouble finding carpet I liked that didn't have a fault. I honestly could not see all of the faults, but knew they were there. One of the carpets we rolled out had a stain every 12 or so feet - they said they could get it out, and showed they could, but why pay a premium price for a less than first rate product? We ended up going to Vendor #3, and bought from them.
Description of Work: I went in to buy carpet for 4 rooms. Received quotes, but ended up going with a different vendor.

 + -1 moreOur experience at Carpet and Tile Mart started with Bob who did an excellent job of showing us things though he almost missed telling us about a great special on installation till we looked at a laminate over the price where the installation special kicked in. Other than that he was as sharp as a tack on the phone and getting us answers in timely fashion.The two installers, Joe and Joe got to work right away and took a break only for lunch. At first they thought it would take 2 days to do the 4 areas we installed laminate, but these guys did it in 2 while putting a bug deterrent underneath the boards and fixing a refrigerator plastic pipe installed by a different company inappropriately. We had laminate put downstairs and the 'expert' left spaces in key areas where none should be. Joe and Joe did things really tightly and professionally.
Description of Work: They tore out carpet and vinyl in the kitchen, put down diatomaceous earth for bugs, put the laminate flooring in and even spent an hour going to a hardware store to get a piping to fix an inappropriately nailed plastic water pipe attached to the refrigerator that leaked. They also put in trim.

 + 0 moreWent to the store on Manheim Pike and talked to the Mgr.--he came out --this is 4 weeks later-- April--after not having any contac with the installer-- he assesed the floor and was going to get back to us. Here it is May 9th and nothing has been done ! ! no call No Show Totally Disappointed with the whole Process!
Description of Work: Installer showed up on time on day due---we had problems after he left with the Quarter Round not stauned evenly--and a small piece of tile was cracked--and he over charged me for the Quarter Round. We made several calls to the installer--and he never returned our calls.

Quality of product is good and the people who installed were courteous and punctual. If they were going to be late, I was informed. Job took longer than expected.
