Charlie came in and reviewed the issue with us and got all the details about the problem. He formulated a plan and told us the cost and got to work. He spent most of the evening, but he got the clog removed and the drain was working well when he left. At all times he was professional and courteous. We have used Ben Franklin Plumbing before with similar results and will do so again in the future. You pay a big more, but you get results through their best efforts each time.

I had called for the leaky toilet problem but they went through and did a lot of extra work so I really felt like I got my money's worth of work. They did recommend that I get a water softner because the minerals in the water could impact the pipes and the seals. He was very informative about that and helped me understand what the water softner did. What stood out the most was the knowledge of what they were doing and the guy I specifically dealt with was very friendly, very informative, wasn't pushy. He told me some stuff, gave me some options for some things that they could do in the future but it wasn't, all I wanted was to get the toilet fixed and he was okay with that. He presented me with some options. He also gave me some information on other things that they did and services that they performed for later use. Promptness, professionalism, friendly staff. They are respectful of property too. He was one of those guys that go outside and when they come in he put on the little booties so they don't get the carpets dirty.

I bought a big deal for this service. He came out a few days after I bought the deal. It went well. They showed up on time and got the toilet installed the same day, so that was pretty good. It was just one guy and they represented themselves pretty well.

Charlie arrived later than expected due to the distance he had to travel. Very grateful he came at all. It was after 9PM. + Professional, he replaced the piece where the hole was. Since the ceiling was prepaired for his inspection and rebuilt for me, Charlie just looked at the piece that burst (a tiny hole) and was able to replace it in a timely fashion. For such a short amount of time, I do feel the cost was high.

They contacted me within the two business days as specified on Angie's List. I was confused about the deal being offered and asked them to explain. They advised their charging structure was as follows; $76.00 service call fee, $396.00 for first two hours and $110.00 for every hour after that. This made no sense to me, I was further confused and so I am cancelling the deal and requesting for a full refund from Angie's List.

Great salesman and plumber, explained everything, giving me every option to buy various maintenance programs, and gave me a firm price quote of $348 to replace the $20 main water indoor shut-off valve, then he was done in 20 minutes, that's $984/hour! Very satisfied with the service and the shiny new valve. If you like a firm price on a project, I highly recommend. If it wasn't for the Angie's special of $200 of plumbing services for $79, I would have searched for a second quote.

I bought the Angie's special for a couple issues, one of which we needed done as soon as possible. Nathan contacted me promptly and was able to schedule us for three days out. He agreed to watch for sooner appointment and did so - first by one day and then to the next day. Chris arrived on time and took care of everything. He was professional, personable, eager to answer questions, and clearly focused on meeting our expectations.

It went great. Turns out my old house is sound.

The service was fine--the plumber was professional and courteous, and the work was done well. I would not hire this company again because they charge by the individual job (so, replacing one lav faucet cartridge was one job, and replacing the toilet flush valve was a second job). He was here for a total of 20 minutes, and the total was nearly $400! The most expensive plumber I have ever hired, hands down!

Technician (Chris M.) had to return twice to get the toilets to flush properly. He was very patient and cooperative. Would not leave until the problem was corrected.

Very responsive professional punctual clean. Install great. However, the install did not take that long, nor was it complicated, and I provided the faucet. Cost was too high in my opinion. I recommend getting a price quote from this vendor before the service call. They have a menu of prices for jobs, they do not charge by the hour. Still, the work and service was vey good.

He was nice and proficient. We got everything accomplished that we needed to!

They were awesome. They fixed the problem and were very gracious.

I had contacted another plumber who quoted me 2 hours at $60, or no more than $120. I feel BF Plumbing was trying to charge me too much despite the voucher and was unreasonable. They could not give an approximate estimate without looking at the job, but said the $200 was not enough. They did however offer to look at the job, but I don't know if there would have been a charge for this. Ergo, I would like a refund since I will call the other plumber and pay $120 max.

I was exceptionally happy with the service provided. We were quoted a price and it was honored even after the technition discovered it was going to be a a more complicated fix. I will definitely use them for future plumbing issues.

When I initially called, I needed an existing gas line hooked to the meter. When Aaron arrived, he was under the impression he would be installing the line. I told them multiple times that the line was already there. I really felt like I wasn't being heard when I set up the service. Prior to setting this up, I already had a good idea of the cost of the work that needed to be done. I was completely shocked at the $759 estimate to do this work. Tech was asked to leave. We would not be using Ben Franklin. I called Triangle in Leola and got the real cost! The job was done for $280! How dare you try to cheat hardworking people out of their money! Needless to say, I would never recommend you to anyone in the future!

Good Service, very timely, no complaints. they did free testing of my water to see if hard water was the cause, it looks like it was. they made recommendations on ways to prevent this.

They do great work! We've used them multiple times and found them to be very professional, responsive, thorough, and skilled in water heater installations. We haven't had too much of an occasion to price around, though. On one instance they were able to come out in an emergency, too. They schedule on our convenience and tend to work pretty quickly -- the water heater was installed in one day.

They were contracted to replace a kitchen faucet because it was leaky. However they looked at the water heater, they tested my water and then tried selling me a $10,000 service to replace water heater and add a water treatment system. I felt pressured while they were doing their business tactics. I felt like their main goal was to get me to purchase that service. I declined and asked them to just do what I really want and what i purchased which is replacing my kitchen faucet. The bill was about $100 not including the Angie's List coupon. They were very professional and very tidy. I appreciate that they wore the disposal booties over their shoes while walking through my home.

We had purchased the fixtures we wanted to use. We found Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (BF) was very quick and responsive. The plumber that came was courteous,thorough and worked to get everything "just right." We were very pleased with everything that was done. We would use this service again. Thanks to plumber Jim.

I had selected Ben Franklin Plumbing through a deal offered to Angie's List customers. I had a leak in my kitchen sink that needed to be inspected/fixed. The technician, Charlie W., was punctual and very professional and took the time to review the problem and explain that the sink sprayer was leaking down under the sink cabinet. He took apart the sprayer and made some minor adjustments and suggested a replacement in the future if the problem continued. He also indicated that the sprayer was partnered with the installed faucet, so if I did replace it in the future, I would need to get one that worked with the existing Delta faucet. He also took the time to test the water and made suggestions for a water treatment system since the household water was high in chlorine, which I appreciated, but declined to do right now as I need to address other pressing household maintenance at this time. I was very satisfied with the work performed and will call on the company again if needed in the future.

Technician was prompt at the agreed time. He went to the basement and decided how to best repair the leak. He came upstairs to inform us that there would be an additional charge for the parts. We were o.k. with that. He made an excellent repair. No leaks after about 2-3 weeks. Note: The plumber left the basement clean after he removed a section of drywall to complete the job. He was wearing booties when we paid him. We were satisfied with the results.

We had great trouble connecting to look at the actual work. There was a scheduled apt & I waited for over two hours for the tech. Only to find that a note that he was there and never rang the doorbell. He said he knocked & called the house. I am not doubting that he did that but there was no missed call or message from the tech that day. I'm not comfortable having someone to attempt to find & solve a plumbing problem. That doesn't make sure they connect after they say they've waited 20-30 minutes! By ringing the doorbell!!

Jimmy was very professional and tried very hard to save me money, but in the end it seemed like a very expensive repair. Considering that I got $200 off for the Angie's List Deal, and paid $79, the total would have been $838 for this repair. Luckily I saved $200 because Angie's List was offering a deal. He didn't have to replace any pipes, just the valve, but there was some soldering involved, I think. I guess that's the cost of plumbing these days. I was satisfied with the work, but my wallet wasn't.
