Response from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied and wanted to take some time to address these issues. After consulting our technician’s notes from the call, I see that we arrived at your home after you purchased a $79 for $200 big deal through Angie’s List. The request was that we install a customer supplied water filtration system. The cost of this job was $235 total, less the coupon ($114 out of pocket). I am sorry if you felt that this price was extremely high. We make a practice of presenting the cost of our jobs upfront to our customers before doing any work so that we are all on the same page. It is always the decision of the customer if they want to do the work or decline. In this case, after receiving approval from you to do the work, the technician moved ahead with the job. If you would like to discuss this pricing further, we would be happy to continue the conversation. In regards to the leak, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. At the plumbing inspection a few days prior to this call, our technician did identify the existing water filtration system as old and in need of replacement. At this time, the technician did replace the filter (of the existing system) supplied by you at no cost and at the completion of the job the system was not leaking. Later, you called us out to install a customer supplied filter system. Upon completing the installation, there were no leaks identified by the technician. We do warranty all of our work for a full year, so if the leak is as a result of the work that we did, we are willing to evaluate the situation and correct the issue. Again, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with our service. If you would like to discuss these issues further, please reach out to us at your earliest convenience.
