I am still waiting for the return of my deposit as it has been a week since I put this review on hold after putting in the notice that day 24 June of cancellation by email and next day mail. As I have said before I am a disabled Vet, Senior citizen with health problems. I have copies of the emails that I sent on the days of 06/24/2023 and by next day Mail on the 27th notarized copies of the cancellation. Tried calling but went to voice mail. No work has been done so a rating cannot be done on the work, only the price. This job was way overpriced and never got the chance to compare. The salesman was a good person but I have my family doing it for thousands less.

They really did a good job. They came when they said that they're gonna be here. They replace the entire flat roof. They took all the shingles off and showed me the pictures of the bare roof. They put the shingles on. They showed me the plan and we were pleased with the salesman. Josh was very nice and I was very pleased with his service.

On September 1, three weeks ago, the remains of Hurricane Ida hit our area. Our basement flooded and water began seeping through the walls on the first floor. The water restoration company came out to help two days later. They went into the attic and found gaping holes around the chimney and said that the chimney had not been correctly sealed or flashed. We immediately contacted Aspen, who had put a new roof on our house just this March, which is still under warrantee. We called every day for nearly two weeks, spoke to the secretary who was lovely and said she would have someone from management contact us. We never received a single phone call from the company. We hired a private roofing inspector to come assess the damage. He confirmed that the roof around the chimney had not been properly sealed by Aspen and noticed several other defects that he determined were NOT caused by the storm but by Aspen's faulty work. Today we woke up to more water in the walls. Aspen has not responded. We are not litigious people, and we understand they likely had lots of work following a big storm. ALL we wanted was for them to come fix the roof. If we hire a different company, our warrantee will be voided. The house has now suffered additional damage because they refuse to simply contact us, take responsibility, and repair the roof. At this point we will likely have to hire a lawyer on top of all the stress of working with insurance and contractors to try and repair our home.

Since my review; I have been contacted by the owner and we have set a time to meet and resolve the issues I have been having with his company. I will update my review after the matter has been settled to our mutual satisfaction. I expect this all to be done by the end of the workday 1/15/2021.

Awesome. Where do I begin? Josh was my initial contact who explained everything and answered my questions as well as my friend, Tom's, questions and concerns. Tom is a master plumber, HVAC guy and engineer. He had tough questions but Josh was up to answering all of them well. Tom and I visited Aspen Home Improvements in Lititz to view their products. Beautiful. We spoke with David, the owner, who made himself available to us to explain further any concerns/questions we had. Both of these men are very courteous and professional. Then, of all things, David, the owner, came out to my house to do the measuring of the windows!!!! The installation was done by Aspen's regular crew, 2 cousins who work together extremely well. It took only a day and a quarter to install 14 windows in my old home. The first impression that Tom and I had was that the house was quiet even though there is a township road that runs out front. Now, on this freezing day with the snow storm and wind outside, it is quiet and there is no draft or coldness coming in like it used to with the old windows. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Aspen Home Improvements to do your window replacement project. And, any other home improvement that you may have as I am certain that they would do a great work for you as they did for me. Awesome!!!!! Love them!!!

Aspen Home Improvements does NOT keep their word. I needed a new roof and went to Angie’s list for a contractor. Josh Lapham, salesman, promised me over and over that I would receive a lifetime (50 year) warranty on the roof shingles. His Sales Manager, Dave Diller confirmed that the roof shingles did indeed come with a lifetime (50 year) warranty. That is the only reason I decided to hire this company. So, after the job was finished and paid for (Oct.), I waited and waited for my warranty papers. On 11/23/20, I e-mailed Tammy Harrison and asked for help in getting my warranty papers. On 11/24/20, I received a warranty from Barbara Clawson that only covered the labor. Then, on Dec. 5, I received the material warranty that was only for 15 years. I sent an unfriendly e-mail to Barbara Clawson, Josh Lapham and Dave Diller on 12/7/20 and asked what was going on and said I guess I would have to contact the BBB & AG. This Company is pulling a BAIT & SWITCH! They PROMISED a 50 year/LIFETIME warranty on the shingles and obviously LIED! I was charged for 50 year/LIFETIME roof shingles yet they only installed 15 year shingles which are only 30% of what I was promised! They owe me a 70% refund!

Their estimate for roof, plywood, gutter and soffit replacement started out at $36,000, then sales rep contacted owner (?) who then went onto negotiate the estimate to $15,000, so my question is they were going to overcharge $15,000+. And had the nerve to ask for trust! What a rip off!

I had Aspen visit my home on 8.4.2020 at 6:00 PM EST to give me a quote on my siding replacement project. Wes showed up on time and was friendly throughout the visit. He was wearing a mask, so it seemed that the company was compliant with COVID-19 Guidelines and was taking that seriously. As far as the quote itself, Wes was at home for two (2) hours. We talked a bit about the products offered, viewed some samples and then he measured my home. After that, we talked pricing. I felt like the visit was a waste of 2 hours to be honest. I provided my price range prior to the visit and at the beginning of the visit. Aspen's price came out to be ~$15,000 higher than my highest quote. I was then offered a "COVID Discount" and a "manufacturer's coupon" that could be leveraged if Wes called his manager, David. Wes called David and placed him on speaker phone. Dave went through a pitch to try to get my business, with the price being reduced to ~$22,000. The goal was to try to get me to agree and sign on the spot during that first visit; this was brought up multiple times by David. I will note that during the visit, Wes indicated he was working up a price on his phone app. He also already had a notebook set aside with the $35k number written down on it when he came back from measuring. The price was already determined and written down prior to sitting back down with me. I saw his phone and he was texting someone, not working up my quote. At the end of the day, this was a high-pressure sales pitch. I was drawn in with hopes they could "gain my business", when in reality, they knew there was no way they could be within my price range. They then resorted to the "let me bring in my manager" routine, which is a common practice in sales. I was then pushed to try to go with financing multiple times after I had indicated I would be paying cash for my project. I will not be moving forward with Aspen. They may very well do great work, but I was put off by their high-pressure sales approach. It got to a point where I felt uncomfortable due to them continuing to push me to sign on the spot.

Hi On 08/15 the salesperson (James) came to my house to speak to be about Aspen home improvement. He was very nice, polite and very professional. I like his presentation including information about the company having great customer service. I also spoke to the manager (David Diller) that day and he seemed like a nice person. I choose this company because of his presentation and the customer service review. There were two other companies that came from Angie’s list that had a cheaper quote but I wasn't impressed with their presentation. Both of the other two companies were $500-$1,000 cheaper than Aspen. My appointment for roof replacement was scheduled for 08/26/2019 and 08/27 and they changed to 08/30 because it rained one day in the previous week. When I spoke to the person and I mention that it was changed from two to one day, she said that the manager review and said that it would take one day. She also states that if it wasn’t done they would finish it on the next day (Saturday). When I got home from work at 4 pm on Friday ( 08/30/2019) they had removed all roof but they only added shingles to the top of the house (The porch and Sunroom weren’t done). About an hour or so later they were all packing up to leave and not a single person said a word to me, so I thought that they were done. When I went out and check they still haven’t applied shingles to the porch or sunroom roof. No one called me or said anything, so I asked if they were coming back the next day and he said “no” maybe sometime next week. He also said that they didn’t have any shingle left. I had to force him to call his manager to find out when they would be coming back and he said the manager said Tuesday. It rained two times before they came back to finish it. They came back the following Thursday (09/05/2019) to finish. When I came home I notice they there were a lot of nails that came straight through the roof of both the sunroom and the porch. I also notice they did not installed the new drip edge or pipe collar as stated in the contract. Other things are not very easy to spot. The money was released to them on 09/02/2019 and they still haven’t come back to resolve these issues as of 09/10/2019. I am very disappointed in their lack of communication skills, very poor quality and lack of customer service. My next step will be to send this information to the Better Business and get the issue resolved. I paid $6,995 for this service.

Excellent. The workers -- who came from Guatemala -- came a little late but was perfect because we had just got the dumpster placed correctly outside the three-story house. They worked from 7 am until 7 pm. Some materials were left over but I called the job site and someone picked them up the next day. My daughter-in-law's father -- who is a roofer -- told us that Aspen did a great job. It looks good and I am happy that I checked Angie's List to get it's recommendation!

The salesman that came out was pleasant and friendly. They definitely want to close the sale and they tend to quote the “full price” higher to make the final number/deal look really good. Don’t be put off by these sales tactics though because the reality is that the quoted price for the work they did for me was very good. In fact, what they quoted me for both the rubber roof install and all of the gutter work was only slightly higher than what I was quoted by three othe companies for the roof alone. The crew that came out to do the roof was punctual and professional. They got the work done in a day and left a clean work area. Unfortunately, when they replaced the plywood for the new roof, they altered the fascia on the front soffit. So the soffit was basically dangling down because it was unattached to anything. I called and spoke to Scott the foreman and after sending pictures he guaranteed me that they would make it right. A few days later, the gutter folks same out and installed new outputs throughout the house and leaf guards on all of the gutters. They did not install the final output pieces to run the water away from the foundation of the house but the soffit still needed to get done anyways. A day later, they called to have a gentleman come out to fix the soffit since he was freed up after completing his work. In a matter of hours, he installed a new soffit and it looked beautiful! He also installed the remaining outputs on the gutters and flashed the front porch roof which was the final job that had to get done. Later that night, I tried to turn on my back porch lights and they basically tripped the breaker over and over. There was an old outlet underneath the soffit and a flood light that had not been used that might have gotten damaged during the soffit install. My wife called Scott again and within a day the same gentleman that did the soffit work was back out. He removed the old flood light and outlet, capped off the electrical and cleaned up the install. The back light porch lights worked again and the soffit was still in perfect condition. At that point, I paid the remaining cost of the job and all was done. Considering the things that went wrong, Aspen handled things as well as any company I’ve ever dealt with. They are extremely customer service focused and generally appreciate the fact that you’ve chosen to spend money with them. My house is nearly 100 years old so I don’t expect all things to go perfectly but the way Aspen responded to our concerns has made a repeat customer out of me. It has since rained heavily for the last few weeks since the job was done and the roof installation has been perfection and our gutters have never worked better. I can’t recommend Aspen enough.

Found Aspen very easy to work with, though I did feel that I had to chase them down a bit to schedule the work. Once scheduled though, they worked very quickly and I'm pleased with the results. They arranged free estimation meeting. His sales man came to our home took more than two hours of our time to go through detail. I finalized most details with him. I asked him to put all detail of work scope & brand of material is going to use & send me your official quote. They send me today a quote in one line without any detail & square & ask for 22,000 for 1800 square roof. They put a deal in angie list for 1500 square & 9.75 per square addition to 1500. This company is scam. They wasted my time. Why angie list publish such a this deal & give good rating to this company. I am loosing my thrust to angie list.

I made it very clear during my first contact that I don't like high pressure sales techniques..i.e. "If you sign today we can give you this great deal!". I told them if this was their approach not to come out. They assured me they do not do that. Well they do...and to a high degree. I got a quote after an hour and a half talking to a sales person and was told "if you sign today we can take $5k off." I asked for the best offer after which I asked him to leave as I had other roofers coming. He gave me his "best offer" (lower than the previous one) and left about an hour later. The next day they called and wanted a different sales person to come out who did and gave me yet another "best offer"... another several thousand less. The sales pressure escalated. I had a third visit and multiple phone calls. I understand that some companies work this way but I made it clear that I do not. I could not believe the difference in the original quote and the the "last ditch effort" to get my business. I believe their product is of high quality and the sales people did a great job explaining the process, but I would will not use this company due to their high pressure sales techniques and clearly inflated prices. I had four other companies out and they all gave me a price with no pressure. I might add that all four were less than half of the original estimate I got from Aspen, and two used the exact same product.

A person representing Aspen came to our door with information about roofing, stating quote good for 1 year. I said yes to meeting with a representative. I could not meet for 2 weeks and explained this to the person on the phone. I received daily calls confirming the date. When the sales person got here. We got the "used car salesperson" tactic. He never got on the roof or on a ladder. We have a basic ranch home. Went on and on about nothing related to the roof. When he asked about financing, we said we would take care of it ourselves. From the start I said we were looking for a quote and not making a decision that day. When I said i would be getting a quote from Smucker's he was gone soon after. To top it all off, I never got a quote. Unprofessional company.

I called Aspen Home Improvement to come out and give a quote. Ken S. came out on 7/26/18 and from the moment he stepped out of his car, I received the "used car sales pitch". Ken immediately started with "wow, you called at the end of the month, you are not going to believe the specials we have going on". When I walked him through the damage on the inside of the house he kept telling me a new roof would fix it. When we got upstairs to go out to the roof - he never even went outside. He spent 30 minutes looking at the window at only part of the roof (2nd story roof). He never saw the 3rd story roof. When I asked him if he needed to go out he said, he had the Eagle View Cam shots. Once he came back down, he kept pressuring me to sign that night and only if I signed that night would I get the deals they were offering. He then forced a book of reviews in front of me to read. Pay close attention - as those reviews were only the positive reviews. They had removed anything negative. They started out at 18K, He then told me with deals I could get down to 15. However he enjoyed talking to me and would get me down to 13. However, I signed that night the deal goes lower. I asked them if they would give me 3 days to think about it and he said no the price goes up. In my opinion I wouldn't trust a company that isn't going to stand behind their pricing for 3-5 days. Needless to say a roofer who doesn't go out on the roof. Ken is a dirty salesman. I since had 3 other quotes. All 3 quotes included the Eagle Eye Cam and people who went out on the roof, told me where my issues were and gave me suggestions on how to move forward. The other estimates were less than half of his original quote of 18K and backed up the pricing for 3 months and gave the same warranty protection. This company is a joke!

So, at the beginning, our exterior project was a fiasco. The salesman lied and the lack of communication was somewhere beyond horrendous. We were ready to cancel everything and continue to deal with our ugly siding and go with someone else for the roof. Many (some angry) phone calls were made and things were straightened out, with Aspen asking and telling us numerous times to give them "one more chance" and the opportunity to "make it right". The subcontractors who performed the work were PHENOMENAL. They are the real faces of the company, and they deserve to get as much work as possible! If it weren't for them, this would have been a nightmare instead of just a bad dream. So, the project is completed, and we are left with bad debt (horray for the lying salesman!), but a gorgeous house. We have yet to see or hear from anyone involved with Aspen Home Improvements since the project was completed. No follow-up, no job inspections, no survey questions, absolutely nothing. I just have to assume they just want us to throw the yard sign away. With all that said, I don't believe I would recommend Aspen Home Improvements, nor would I use them for any additional work that we would complete in the future. Fun fact: They don't allow visitor posts on their Facebook page... Well, they do, but only after they read it and approve it.

Aspen Home Improvement was great! The salesperson was very informative and helpful in explaining the process and our options, without wasting our time. He was personable and professional. The installers were wonderful, showing up on time, cleaning up at the end of the day, very pleasant to work with, and respectful of our needs. The siding they installed looks great and I can't see any seams. I would definitely recommend this company!
