Description of Work: Upon retiring this past fall and having the opportunity to watch daytime television for the first time, I became hooked on HGTV. My husband complained about my "addiction" but on occasion would watch and mentioned after seeing the home inspection process that this would be a good idea for us to be made aware of any existing situations before they became problematic and also as a safeguard should we decide in the future to sell our home.We joined Angie's list and then proceeded to look for home inspection services. We choose Amerispec due to its ratings and good review. Our phone call was answered promptly and in a business like manner, a date and time of service was scheduledand confirmed.Mike Morrow arrived right on time and proceed to inform us of the procedures and protocol to be followed..He spent three hours with my husband shadowing, keeping him involved and informed the entire time, explaining what he was doing and his findings as he worked. The home inspectors background was varied and involved different aspects of the building trades.The report arrived less than a week later with twenty (20) pages of detailed information and pictures per area or rooms with recommendations included.We were very pleased with all services rendered and would recommend this company.

+ -1 moreThere were optional inspections that could be added for more cost. He walked me through the whole process. This was the first time I done this and the house is over 100 years old. He put us at ease and told us what he was going to do. Then we basically looked at the whole exterior. We then went through room by room. He checked the wiring to make sure everything was grounded. He took thorough notes and was great. He was a friendly and nice guy. He was very prompt about getting the report back to us. We were on a quick settlement of 45 days. He was really fast about getting us the info so we could proceed.
