After testing and inspecting the condition of my electrical panel box Mr Carman inform me that there was no need to replace the panel box I like to take the opportunity again and thank him for saving me $725.00. I THEN PROCEEDED TO EXPRESS TO HIM THAT I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING EVICTED DUE TO THE LANDLORD NOT WANTING TO BRING THE HOUSE UP TO CODE ELECTRICALLY.... LIGHTS/FANS/TV/AC... PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING PLUGGED IN TURNS ON AND OFF AS IT PLEASES AND THERE ARE FOUR FANS THAT I KNOW FOR A FACT THREE WERE INSTALLED BY MY LANDLORD BECAUSE HE DID IT IN FRONT OF ME. I AM A PHYSICALLY DISABLED 33 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO HAS SECTION 8. THE ESTIMATE I WAS ASKING FOR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE... ONCE HE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE SECTION 8 HE AUTOMATICALLY ASSUMED THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE HIM DO WORK AND NOT PAY HIM. I ASSURED HIM THAT I WOULDN'T DO THAT TO HIM WHICH I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS AN ISSUE BECAUSE THE ESTIMATE WAS AGAIN, SUPPOSED TO BE FREE. HE WAS BEYOND RUDE AND OFFENSIVE AND ULTIMATELY HUNG UP ON ME BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO DO WORK... THAT AGAIN I WASN'T ASKING HIM TO DO... ON A RENTAL FOR A POOR PERSON WHO WOULDN'T PAY HIM... FYI... I HAVE EXCELLENT.... WELL NOT EXCELLENT BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN... I PAY MY BILLS AND I AM JUST HONORABLE IN GENERAL. IN ADDITION, I PROCEEDED TO TELL HIM THAT I WAS ABOUT TO BE HOMELESS AND PLACED IN A SHELTER WITH MY DAUGHTER (7) BECAUSE I WASN'T EXPECTING TO HAVE TO MOVE ASAP AND SPENT ALL OF MY "EXTRA" MONEY ON MEDICAL EXPENSES THAT MY INSURANCES JUST WOULDN'T COVER. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A SERVICE DOG WHICH INSURANCE COMPANIES DON'T PAY FOR. I HAD TO PURCHASE A SPECIAL TYPE OF WALKER/WHEELCHAIR, MEDICINE AND 20% OF DR'S FEES FOR A FEW DIFFERENT SPECIALISTS THIS MONTH. I PUT MONEY INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR SO THAT IT WOULD BE SAFE TO TRANSPORT MY DAUGHTER AND MYSELF ANYWHERE AND ANYWHERE. I WAS LITERALLY DRIVING AROUND IN A CAR THAT WAS BEING STOPPED WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE..... HE COULD HAVE HAD A HEART AND JUST GIVEN ME ON PAPER WHAT HE FOUND TO BE BROKEN SO THAT I COULD PROCEED WITH MY NEXT STEP. THE MAIN REASON I WAS ASKING FOR HIM TO TAKE A "LOOK" AT THE HOUSE IS BECAUSE MY ELECTRICITY BILL HAS DOUBLED WITHIN THE LAST 3 MONTHS AND THE HEAT WHICH IS SET TO ... LITERALLY... 50 DEGREES IN ONLY THE LIVING ROOM RUNS SO HIGH WHENEVER IT FEELS LIKE IT THAT IT IS 2 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I AM IN A TANK TOP IN MY BEDROOM WITH THE WINDOWS OPEN. THE THERMOMETER I PLACED NEXT TO THE THERMOSTAT READS ANYWHERE BETWEEN 67 TO 88 DEGREES. IF I TURN IT OFF IT STILL RUNS FOR HOWEVER LONG IT FEELS LIKE IT AND THEN ONCE IT DOES TURN OFF AND IT STARTS TO GET COLD, IT DOESN'T WANT TO TURN BACK ON. PPL IS HOLDING ME ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE USAGE WHICH I UNDERSTAND BUT IT SHOULD REALLY BE PAID BY THE LANDLORD BECAUSE I'M NOT THE ONE RUNNING IT.... IT'S BROKEN! I UNDERSTAND THAT NONE OF THIS IS HIS OR ANYBODY ELSE'S PROBLEM OR BUSINESS BUT AS A HUMAN HE COULD HAVE REJECTED ME NICELY... HE DIDN'T HAVE TO BE SO MEAN, CRUEL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND HEARTLESS. HE OFFERS FREE ESTIMATES, THAT'S WHAT I WANTED. IF I DECIDED TO HAVE HIM FIX THE ISSUES I WOULD HAVE PAID HIM AND THEN JUST CHARGED THE LANDLORD FOR IT!

Carmen electric is a professional company. They did the work for my parents house on crown ave in Scranton. He was on time informative to my parents and finished the work in one day and cleaned up after he was done. The price was very reasonable for the work and I will be using him for my other homes in the area. I met the man when he was dropping off lights the day after to my parents I think his name was Mike. He was nice, professional, and answered any questions I asked of him. If you want someone who will actually show up when called, answer your questions, and give you a fair price look no further.

Showed up right on time. Glenn Carman is who actually shows up to do the job (a good thing!). I don't like it when you call for some work to be done and you talk to a mature individual on the other end, then some kid with a hangover shows up to do the work. This was a small job, but I'll definitely be calling again when I get around to finishing my basement and need the wiring done.

The owner of Carman Electrical, Glenn, is an excellent electrician. Initially, the changing out the fuse box is what needed to be done. However, being so impressed by the work he had performed, my wife and I continued to ask if he would be interested in doing more items. Carman Electrical was able complete all our requests and the work always exceeded my expectations. I hope to have Carman Electrical soon to finish other projects. I like Glenn's work and the prices are very reasonable.

He was the first electrician to call back and the only one to actually come to the house to see what had to be done. He came on the day and time that he said he would and the final cost was within $20 of his original estimate. I would definetly recommend Carmen electrical.

We have purchased a home in Hamlin, PA, and had purchased a new double electric wall oven as a replacement of a Jenn-Aire single unit that was already in the home. Mr. Carman showed up on time and prepared. The installation required a fair amount of finessing to get the ovens and wiring to fit just right while protecting a hand painted wall mural my wife wanted to keep. Mr. Carman finished the installation perfectly, and the mural was left completely undamaged. We are both more than satisfied with his work!

glenn was very professional honest and trustworthy . he completed the work I needed right away and finished the rest in good time . his price was fair and he even noticed other things that should be done for safety.

The entire process from estimate to completion took about 2 weeks (which is amazing for this region). Glen was very professional and did all the work himself. He even took care of a spider problem in our dock refrigerator box we didn't know we had. The results were excellent and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend his work.
