Jack Fritz Tile & Marble

Jack was very prompt, responsive and professional throughout the process. He was punctual and provided a quote on the spot when he came to give us an estimate. He calculated how many floor tiles and linear feet of trim we would need and offered a recommendation for a place to purchase them. He did an excellent job during the installation and responded to a last minute change without hesitation. There was an issue with the grout (residual film on marble tile surfaces) that he attributed to the additive that I purchased (recommended by the tile shop). I had to purchase a grout film remover and Jack returned to perform the removal. The end result was beautiful. Jack does very nice work and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

I found Jack here on Angies List. I scheduled him a month in advance to do the work and he kept his appointment. Jack picked up tiles that we purchased separately. Jack and his crew ripped up two layers of flooring and laid tiles on the first day. The second day he came back by himself and grouted. His work was excellent. They were clean, efficient and professional. Showed up when he said he would and got right to work. Our floor in the basement was uneven and he told me what to expect and answered all my questions. We are very happy with the work and would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

Jack returned my call promptly and we made an appointment for him to provide an estimate 2 days after that. Because the job was simple he was actually able to make the repair quickly. He was very professional and I will most certainly call on him again.

Jack arrived on time and ready to work. He quickly reviewed the project site and then promptly gathered his equipment/supplies and got to work. I stopped in to check on the progress a few hours in to the job. Jack took a moment to explain the process and also offered great insight as I asked some questions about the job and overall process. The job was managed efficiently and professionally the entire time. The job took roughly a full day and I can't be more pleased with the end result. Jacks experience, professionalism, expertise with tile and effective communication skills are of great value to anyone fortunate enough to work with him. Responded promptly to me after contacting him via Angie's List. Provided an estimate via several pictures I texted him and completed the work for that price. Arrived on time and completed the work within the time frame he estimated. Would recommend this provider.

Jack Fritz showed up on time, was prepared, professional and completed all work in a professional manner. Excellent service expertly done. He ran an organized job, was neat, prepared the work expertly and also completed the work in the manner of an excellent craftsman with years of experience. An outstanding job in replacing broken tile, re-setting loose tile and re-grouting the entire tile surface area. Terms and pricing were extremely fair. Jack did an excellent job. If you need tile repair Jack is your man.

Very professional. Arrived on time and had the tile cut & installed before breaking for lunch. After adhesive set, (assisted by having a fan blow over the floor for about 1-1/2 hours), he returned from lunch with his helper & installed the grouting (which he provided). Completed entire installation by 3:00 PM (overall about 5 to 5-1/2 hours). I would highly recommend Jack Fritz to anyone, family & friends alike. Other contractors had much higher quotes & said this work would take two days (the second day for grouting).

After receiving another estimate that was SUBSTANTIALLY higher, I contacted Jack via email. He called the following day, and gave me an estimate over the phone based on my description of what I needed, 36sf of ceramic subway tile, with a plaque over the cook-top. I had ordered the material based on quantity in the first estimate. Jack came out and looked at the job, realized that the first contractor had not called for the correct number of the finish pieces. I picked them up and Jack did the work the following day. He arrived on time, and finished in one day. The installation was beautifully done. Jack and his helper worked neatly, left the kitchen in good order and charged exactly what he had first estimated. I will definitely be calling Jack again.

We sent an e-mail to Jack through the Angie's List website. He immediately responded and came out the next day to look at the job and provided us with an estimate within 24 hours. We scheduled the job. Jack called to confirm the day before he was scheduled and arrived on the scheduled day at the time he said he would. The work was completed with high quality. Jack was great to deal with from start to finish. We plan to use Jack again for additional work we need done. We would highly recommend Jack to anyone needing tile work.

Jack was very professional and did a great job! Jack provided an estimate via email and even when he arrived on site and noticed the job was a little more complicated than he thought he still stuck to his original estimate. Backsplash looks great and really completes the kitchen. Would definitely use Jack again for future tiling projects.

Poorly cut tiles and not caulked between tile and counter.

Our shower tile grout was in very bad shape and in major need of a regrout. We were expecting this to be a major project so we were very pleasantly surprised when Jack told us this would be a simple one day project. Jack did a great job and the grout that had looked terrible now looks brand new. This is something that had bothered us for years and we're amazed that it was resolved so quickly and so affordably. This was our second time working with Jack this year and on both occasions he was very easy to work with, polite, on time and responsive. We hope to have Jack back a third time later this year to install a new backsplash in our kitchen. We strongly recommend his services to anyone!

Jack did a tremendous job for us and we would highly recommend his services to anyone! His price for our new 65 square foot kitchen floor was very reasonable and we got outstanding service for our money. Jack was on time, polite, willing to give clear advice, and accommodate any questions or concerns. His estimates for the duration of the job were perfect and we were very pleasantly surprised how quickly he was able to complete the work with high quality. Our new floor looks great! We were so pleased with the floor that we decided to have Jack estimate the effort to regrout our shower tile which he provided at the end of the job.

Beautifully done, reasonably priced. Jack was also very honest about work he could not take on (and why we probably shouldn't do it anyway). I liked him a lot!

Jack replaced a 3x4 area of tile and backerboard in my shower stall that was damaged by a frozen pipe. He immediately knew exactly how to approach the problem. Estimate of time to completion was spot on. You can tell he has been doing this work for a very long time. He works extremely clean and the outcome of the job is super professional. You cannot tell that there was any damage at all. On top of excellent workmanship he is a nice guy who responds promptly to phone and email contact. Pricing is competitive relative to other bids I got too. I definately have him on my list for future larger projects.

Jack was great, professional, and a nice guy. Also reasonably priced. He came in for an estimate, and recommended some solutions to an odd room. I have a 120 year old row-home in philly, and NOTHING is straight, level, or plumb. We had gutted our 2nd floor bathroom for and I had considered doing it myself, but decided against that after realizing how wonky the walls were. Jack was able to hide/mask the imperfections in the walls, and the final job looks awesome. He was in and out in 2 days (1 full day to lay the tile, and 1 day for grouting).

Jack set up an appointment to give us an estimate. We decided on the best course of action to solve our problem at a resonable cost. We ordered the tile to match existing shower tiles, advised that we had the tile and were notified the next day to set up a time for installation. Jack arrived as scheduled a day or so later and completed the job. Did a beautiful job, better than it was originally. We are very pleased with the work.

We are very, very pleased with Jack's work. The bathroom regrout, basement bar floor and basement bathroom floor all look fantastic. We could not have asked for better results. Pros: (1) Incredibly responsive to phone calls and emails. (2) Very accommodating regarding scheduling / schedule changes. (3) Incredibly fair price for the quality of work. (4) Very, very trustworthy professional. (Example: During the basement bar floor installation, I had to leave Jack alone in the house due to my work schedule. No issues whatsoever. He even cleaned up / locked up when he left!) (5) Makes recommendations in the best interest of the client's project. (For example, I originally wanted Jack to tile the top of my bar. He told me that I really would not be happy with the result and it would be very expensive for him to do the work. He recommended getting a piece of granite instead for roughly the same price. I joked that he was turning down work! We went with Jack's recommendation, and we are extremely happy with the result.) Cons: (1) None Summary: I would definitely recommend Jack to anyone looking to do any kind of tile work! The best part was that I found him on Angie's list. We gave him a shot solely based on his positive reviews. It was definitely worth the annual membership fee to find such a high quality professional! Thanks, Jack!

Jack was very professional from beginning to end. He returned my initial call promptly (within 2 hours of the call) which is almost unheard of when dealing with contractors. He was timely in coming to look at the job and provided an estimate in writing within a few hours of inspecting the bathroom. He came within 2 days and installed the bathroom floor and repaired the wall. The floor looks better than it did before and you can't even tell there was a repair to the wall. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him.

Jack was very professional and punctual. I tried to get multiple other contractors to do the work and found the poor responses or outrageous pricing very frustrating. Glad I found him on Angies list. Jack promptly called back and gave me a phone quote which he stuck by as I gave him the measurements of my kitchen and the job description. He arrived promptly on job day, was very friendly and performed job efficently. He laid out a tarp for the wet tile saw, placed towels over counter where he stacked the tiles in appropriate areas and left area as clean as he found it after job was completed. Would use him again and would highly recommend him to any others looking for good tile work.

Jack helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I had a leak in my formal living room ceiling from my master bath shower. After my plumber's inspection he stated that all pipes were fine and that the leak is coming from a crack in the grout. I found Jack on Angies List immediately. I called Jack late afternoon. I was very impressed by Jack's quality of work and his patience in explaining his progress and any issues he came up against. He performed the majority of the work himself and was on-time every day until the project was finished.
