Description of Work: Nate was just great! He arrived on time, did what we had scheduled him to do then, had more time so e checked our water softener and some slow running faucets. Fixed them all! Honest and professional.....he's a keeper!

Description of Work: Repaired toilet which I did not want to replace due to color of existing one matching other fixtures. Noticed another plumbing issue that I was going to ask him about. Made recommendations, and will be returning this week for that replacement.

Description of Work: His answering machine was filled up and would not accept my plea for a callback. I called another p[umber and asked for a refund for this "service". He later called me after being contacted by Angie's List personnel. The work had already been performed by another plumber.

Description of Work: I called Pleasant Valley (Nathaniel) to fix a leaky bathtub faucet. While he was there he fixed a drain in a bathroom sink and installed a new shower head including cutting through the plaster wall to install a maintenance door on the other side of the wall in case access is required in the future. He made 3 trips because the tub faucet parts were hard to find. He insisted that we pay only for 1 visit and did not want us to pay for all the labor. I paid him a little extra anyway. Clearly, this is one honest, hard working and knowledgeable professional plumber.

Description of Work: We had a leak in our water tank for our well and Pleasant Valley Plumbers ("PVP") responded immediately to our call. There are four things that are important to me when determining who I will use for services, Professionalism, Promptness, Price and Quality and PVP met all. While here a device needed to be disconnected in order to work on the connection, later that night the plumber realized that he did not re-connect this device and called us immediately. While we told him that it was not necessary to come as it could have waited to the morning, he told us that he would not be able to sleep and came out. Who does this?? All I can say is people who care about their clients and take pride in what they do. I would definitely recommend PVP to anyone who has the same requirements for service as we do.

Description of Work: Plumber arrived as scheduled. Examined the area in need of repair. Stated the problem was more extensive than the two hours on the deal certificate. Instructed writer to request a refund. Upon departure, this writer contacted a plumber, who informed writer that the problem was not as extensive as noted by the prior plumber and repaired the area in question in as little as one hour.

Description of Work: I purchased the special offer from Angie's List: I needed a plumber to fix a couple of small problems I had just let go on to long -- running toilet, leaking faucet. The service was prompt, professional, patient with my questions and clear in answers to them, and it was a pleasure to have the plumber in my home! He was personable, highly competent, and punctual. I would definitely use this service again.

Description of Work: I had a $39 Angie's Deal for an hour of plumbing by Pleasant Valley Plumbing. I needed to replace a chipped kitchen faucet and have water shut off valves installed under the sink. The plumber, Nathaniel, informed me that the chipped faucet had a manufacturer's lifetime warranty & he said he would order the replacement from the manufacturer and when it came in, he would call me to schedule the installation. I texted a photo of the chipped bisque faucet to Nathaniel who contacted and forwarded the photo to the manufacturer. Since my faucet model was no longer available, and, based on the manufacturer's color recommendation, he ordered a similar replacement. Within a few days, Nathaniel called to say he had the replacement & scheduled an installation appointment. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's color recommendation did not match my bisque sink. Nathaniel again contacted the manufacturer, ordered another color, again based on the manufacturer's suggestion and handled the return of the wrong faucet. In less than a week, Nathaniel was back with the replacement ivory faucet which did match my sink and he completed the installation of the faucet and shut off valves. He also adjusted the stopper on the bathtub so that it would drain properly. Nathaniel was very personable. His customer service exceeded my expectations! He was careful and meticulous in his work and assured that the area was spotless when he was finished. I would not hesitate to call him in the future with my plumbing needs.

Description of Work: I had a wet area on my family room ceiling. Nate,the plumber,determined it was from the master bathroom toilet,which is directly above the family room. He replaced the toilet seal, which solved the leaking. Nate was very professional,polite,skilled and cleaned up the area when he was finished. I have had no further problems with the ceiling.I definitely will use Pleasant Valley Plumbers for any future plumbing needs.

Description of Work: The kitchen sink pipes were clogged. (No sink during all this Christmas baking and cleaning up!) Nate and his partner responded extremely promptly and after trying the simpler methods of declogging they had to hydro jett the pipes. This was quite an ordeal (for them not me) and they did it very thoroughly. They cleaned up everything and were very professional. Both Nate and John were very friendly and I was comfortable having them in my home. I would definitely call them again.

Description of Work: A mixed bag on this one! Nathaniel was very good at responding to setting up a time and coming out to fix our toilet. All went well there. But, after carrying out the house plumbing inspection part, the process fell apart. He discovered that in the crawl space our holding tank for the well water pumped to our house was leaking. He gave us a ball-park figure for repairing it and said he could arrange to do that promptly. He said he would call us the next day with a firm quote. He also took a sample of our water and said he would send it out for analysis and get back to us (this, too, was part of the Angie's List deal). So far, so good. We were planning on giving Nathaniel a chance to do the work but said we planned to get proposals from a couple of other contractors. He said that was fine. It was either that evening or the next day that I phoned him and asked for his professional license number. He didn't have it with him but said he would be glad to call back. We never heard from him again regarding repairing the holding tank, nor did he call back re: the tested water or his license #. We promptly had the tank repaired by a contractor we have used many times .
