Description of Work: Installed new geo thermal heat pump to r/p old one. installed in summer worked ok for a/c but never worked in heating mode. Would not come back to service after 3 months. had to get another heating company but they did not like the way it was installed many things not done right. Finally had to install new gas heater.

Description of Work: I have had a service contract with them for years for my heat pump. The problem I have with them is that they always are saying I need services or parts that I don't need and I always feel like they are pushing for business. They used to be a great company when they were "Geiger" but all the good service folks fled when they became "Horizon". The last straw as when they said my heat pump will go in the next few years and it would cost me $12000 to replace. I did some shopping around for the same unit they quoted me and several other companies quoted 7-8000 which is what I was expecting. I don't trust this company any more and I will have another company lined up for when my heat pump does need replacing.

Description of Work: I had an oil to gas conversion. The whole team was so professional and courteous. They did a wonderful job and were conscious about keeping my house clean as well as making sure they shut the door behind them. I have dogs and they made sure they never let them out. THey have followed up and made sure that they unit is working properly. I would recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreThis business is listed as Geiger Associates and Geiger Service Associates. The overall experience was plagued with problems, some of which were never resolved. It was so difficult to deal with the company, I gave up trying to get them to keep coming out to fix problems. Major objections I had with the service included: - Condenser came with bent cooling fins. Company refused to replace the unit and when they sent someone out to straighten the fins, the tech had the wrong tool said he was going to come back and never did. I was told that bent fins don't affect the unit, but who cares? I paid for a new unit, I expected a defect free unit. - Condenser makes noise which is not normal. No fix was put in place to date.- None of the duct work was sealed with tape. Had to call a tech back to seal the duct work- line to the thermostat was taped to a stud instead of properly fastened- After the filter unit was installed, duct work was installed around it in such a way that the filter couldn't be removed. Had to call and get them to rework the duct work - when the tech replace the duct work for the filter fix, the condensate pump was left unplugged which led to water in the basement- scrap debris was left in the front yard. Very disappointing service. I would not use them again or recommend them.
