Sheetrock the bathroom on existing walls; didn’t remove the majority of the old tile and sheetrock right on top of the old tile. Extreme gaps between the walls, the floor and ceiling, we understand the walls are uneven, but the walls look terrible. You can also see where one wall ends and begins after paint job. Only walls replaced were around tub. Sheetrock over old linen closet; didn’t remove the existing old linen closet doors and still see brackets, never took care of the existing cracks in corner of wall inside the old linen closet. One linen closet door was going to be used to create a laundry chute, never cut floor for the shoot before they sheetrock and left existing trim on and that is why the sheetrock is uneven in that area. Installed a new tile floor over the existing vinyl flooring without prepping, tile was set crocked, tile was not set proper, corner and/or end pieces of tile was not cut properly. Tub/Shower walls The sheetrock was installed improperly because there were no new studs installed to level and even the wall, once again tile was set uneven and they cut out a piece of sheetrock in the middle of the wall which cracked the new tub lip and replaced it with a new piece of sheetrock and retitled the wall and there are gaps between the sheetrock. The shower/tub fixtures are not center to the tub. They did not measure the toilet and had to move the pipe an inch and the toilet still isn’t installed because they tiled that area on 3/9/12. All the trim in the bathroom looks horrendous; it was not cut proper, uneven, not installed properly and installed trim around the ceiling to cover the gaps between the sheetrock. We purchased a vanity and faucet. They ruined our vanity by making unnecessary cuts for piping. There is a gap between the wall and the vanity because they installed trim behind it and they should have cut the trim to install the vanity proper. The mirror and light fixture above the vanity are not center with each other. They didn’t clean up after themselves; we still have debris/trashed laying around in our living room, our enclosed porch, in our garage, outside on our porch and outside of our property. If you would like further proof we have photos, time date and stamp
Description of Work: Extremely unprofessional, all employees uses a lot of profanity while working and by phone, not returning calls, leaving early and not informing us, poor workmanship, poor communication between us and their employees, making excuses, not having proper equipment to do and/or complete a task, (Borrowing certain items such as trash cans, safety glasses, flash light and dust pan.) unpaired period, taking personal phone calls, and pretending to work (depends on the day), laziness shown. My wife signed a generic proposal for Bathroom Remodeling. Everything else was a verbal contract of all tasks that would be done. The start date was 2/27/12 which the company started the demo of our bathroom and worked from 9am-4pm with a hr. lunch break. Other dates and times worked: 2/28/12, Time worked 9:30am-2:30pm with a hr. lunch break, company done working for the day 2/29/12, Time worked 8:50am-11am, never came back for the day 3/1/12, Time worked 9:30am-2:30pm with a hr. lunch break, company done working for the day 3/2/12, Time worked 8:30am-5pm with a 2 ½ hr. lunch break (from 12pm-2:30pm) 3/5/12, Time worked 8:30am-4pm with a ½ hr. lunch break 3/6/12, No show – Called twice – Received called back 3:07pm 3/7/12, No show – Called at 10am and left voice message – no return called 3/8/12, No show – No call from the company 3/9/12, Time worked 9:30am-12pm, company done working for the day The employees doing the work don’t always work full days. During this time frame, we have no toilet installed, no functioning sink and bathtub/shower. This is the only bathroom we have in our home; my family has been using a camper toilet and traveling to take showers every other day and/or every 2-3 days, depends on the week. We were told in the beginning that it would take a week to remodel the bathroom. This was the whole point of hiring a company, if we knew it was going to drag on; we would have done it ourselves. This is going on week 3.

Response from Rooter-Man Plumbing and Remodeling
We went to the member's house, I started to work, she cried how she had no money so we did the best we could for her. There was a big hole in the shower wall. We worked in a house that had no heat because they could not afford oil. We asked her to stay off the tile she walked on it, and she gave my guys a hard time everyday until she wanted the job inspected. The Township inspector said there is nothing wrong with the job, she is just picky.

Stay away from this guy. Personally he is very nice, however professionally he will give you a low bid and then subcontract out the shoddiest work imaginable. He probably made a good $20k profit off of us, by some estimates we've gotten. Almost two years later and not all work is complete. Check out BBB first, I have been told by guys working for him that some clients have gone to court over his work (or lack thereof). He sends carpenters to do electrical work, thank God the couple of subcontractors were nice that he sent, although when they found out how much he was paid for the job and then what he was giving them and expected of them, they seemed to disappear. Don't hesitate to contact me for details. Everytime I "try" to turn on my front porch light, look at the dirty/unsealed T1-11, the rotted floor that he promised to fix, the cracks left unsealed, etc. etc.... basically whenever I sit in or see my low bid/but overpriced addition I almost have a stroke. Does not return calls. Never provided paperwork on "new" water treatment system. We were just told, "Don't worry, it will last 15 years, if something happens just give me a call." Yeah right and you'll answer when? I seriously cannot type all the problems that we've had with this guy. I would have to sit here and type all day and I can't do that with a 1 year old, work, school, etc. Just please stay away. If I could afford a billboard on Route 209 warning people about this guy I would.
Description of Work: Sewerage line installation, water treatment system and 17 x 16 addition.
