I paid the restocking fees even though I never removed the item from the box it was in..

Mike Gerth Plumbing and HVAC is first-rate. After consulting the Angie's List web page, I called Mike to fix a plumbing problem. He and his helper, James, repaired the problem the following day. While at my home, Mike mentioned that he also performed HVAC installation and repair services. This was timely information since my area was experiencing a heat wave, and though AC isn't typically needed in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania, I'd become convinced I wanted AC before another "unusual" heat wave came along. I discussed my requirements with Mike, and the next day his wife Sandy had me scheduled for installation of a Mitsubishi Ductless AC and Heat Pump system within a week. Mike and James did an excellent job tailoring the system to my home and minimizing the system's footprint on both the inside and outside of the house. I highly recommend Mike Gerth Plumbing and HVAC.

Mike and James were there on time....gas company personnel were almost an hour late. Instead of just standing around or sitting in the truck, they fixed a problem I had with my new house....previous owners had drained the kitchen sink into the sump pump hole in basement. The entire house smelled like rotting garbage! Also put a trap in dishwasher drain that another contractor neglected to install. They helped me get things put together again once the gas co. was done with their part. They were very helpful in figuring out how/where to hook things up and what would be the most economical/ sensible way to do things. They also got me a cord thingy in Wellsboro when they were there for my generator, since I had no earthly idea what I needed to hook it up! Awesome!!!!

Mike was out of town this day. James did a fantastic job. The pipe he put down was what he determined to be safest for the job situation. ALSO!!!! He found several gas leaks in my line (in the basement) that were dangerous and took the time to repair them so my whole family didn't blow up! He did an awesome job. He later called and explained all this to me. Mike and James are COMPLETELY trustworthy. They come and go in my house when I am at work. They are very professional and have tons of experience. They have been at this so long, they can just walk in, solve the problem and get the job done. With these guys, you don't have to pay for wasted time trying to figure out what the problem is and trying several ways to fix it. They are also VERY funny! I even give them an A+ for humor!

Any time our heater has gone out or we have any question, he is here and he takes care of it. He is very friendly. I can even leave the door open and he can come in and you can trust him that much. He is very flexible on the payment and in working with you. The last time he came out, he did not charge us because he had come before and did not realize that our thermostat was out, so he gave us a thermostat for free and that is the kind of guy he is. His price is very, very reasonable. We highly recommend him. We never met him until we moved here 2 years ago. He is just fantastic. If he cannot make it here when he has said he will come, he will give you a call and let you know. I definitely would be using him in the future.
