Affordable Roofing

I am an extremely dissatisfied customer.This job has too many mistakes to go into them all.They were willing to repair a few of them like siding coming off,nail under siding and trimming off some J channel.They were not willing to even admit to other mistakes such as uneven corners,siding that doesn’t match on both sides of windows, siding that is not level or cut short or missing above window.As for the roof I found out it’s cut short,seals were missing and rake edges are installed improperly.This job is a total failure (beware of looks good from road) I decided to trust this guy from the start.What a mistake that was.He told he was rated #5 on Angie’s list and I didn’t check till after he trashed my house. I couldn’t find any rating for him although their were some reviews.He had good reviews but last 2 were in 2015 and not good at all.

This was by far the most terrible experience I have ever had dealing with a contractor. From the beginning of the job I made several attempts to speak with the owner to resolve my dissatisfaction. He refused to correct the issues at hand. This resulted in termination of his job at my residence. The flashing for my dormers we're screwed to the outside of my siding, the valleys were cut very crooked, the metal panels had scratches all over, panels were not lapped correctly, at the bottom of one of my valleys lead to a hole for all the water to leak in. Paid 6,000 down and did not pay the rest. Letting the courts handle the matter. The end result left me paying additional money to have another company come in to make the repairs. However I still have holes all over my siding.

These folks did a bang up job. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Arrived on time each day and worked extremely hard in the elements. They were receptive to changes made by homeowner and offered explanations and suggestions. They provided a detailed bid and stuck to the contract. They were very personable and professional. We were pleased with the process and pleased with the work. I would highly recommend these guys for all of your home improvement needs. Inside and out, roofing, construction you name it these guys can do it. They were very competent and well versed in all forms of home improvement. Can't say enough great things about this company. Everything went as planned, no surprises. Exceptional work in extremely cold weather. Job was finished quickly and efficiently and everything was cleaned up after the work was finished. I am very happy and highly recommend Affordable Roofing!

The work was done swiftly and the results were very good. The workers were friendly and professional. My only beef was the price exceeding the estimate. The explanation was that ther was additional lumber needed to make repairs. Okay I can see a few pieces of lumber not foreseen to add to the costs but $250.00. The day that Mark knew of the add ons he quoted a price of $60.00 to my wife. I priced the lumber at Home Depot and that was about right. The day before he was set to be done he texted me a price of $100.00, okay I'm not griping, the works done and time to write a check and all of a sudden the add on price is $250.00. This seems way over the top so It I have to bring up several facts. The front portion of my roof has a rolltop on it. There was no way Mark knew this before they started ripping shingles off of it. The workers laid shingles over top of this and didn't use any tar paper saving them time, materials and labor.I received no credit for this, none of their savings was passed on to me. All I'm trying to say is be honest with people,lose the B.S., and give people a little credit for some sense and the customers will rave about the quality of your work and not issue poor grades for questionable business practices. I have to add that Mark didn't walk around with me inspect the finished work and as I've noticed over time checking the overall job I saw several rotten boards that needed replaced. Probably best I didn't say anything or I might have been price gouged even worse. I'll replace the boards myself but almost 18.000 later should I have had to?

It all started when the roof of my industrial building caved in due to excessive weight from a clogged roof drain. I called Affordable Roofing, Kittanning, PA, and within 90 minutes they were there to secure the roof from further damage. I received an estimate that day, accepted it, and the next day the repairs started. What was required was the cost of materials up front and the balance due upon completion. The roof was repaired in the projected time and no cost over-runs. The quality and professionalism was exceptional. I was informed of all the issues associated with the roof and there was no "hard sell!" They will be coming back for some additional work and again the pricing was very fair and appropriate. As noted, I did not hesitate to call a second time. They made this traumatic experience quite painless.Dr.

I was very happy with my experience. Some of my shingles were hanging by a thread and I was hopeful to get someone out fast before they fell down and broke. They arrived right away. Not only did he fix the shingles that were falling down, he assured nearby shingles were secured. He took his time and did a very through job. He also measured my roof for a quote for a future replacement roof. He also gave me some other alternatives that I hadn't considered. Finally, while up on the roof he cleaned up some dirt and moss that was beginning to accumulate. I will certainly do business with them again.

The work has been excellent. We have had lots of rain since the project and we have not had any issues. We even had a third party come and evaluate this and they said it was done correctly. They were quiet and courteous, too. When we have the money, we will use them again. They did not have fancy equipment, but they were very effective and I am very pleased with their work. I was impressed with how they conducted themselves. Their pricing was around $10000 cheaper than other companies. We have a 35 year materials guarantee and 10 year company guarantee on the work. I cannot say enough great things about them.
