Thank you, [member name removed], for your positive review of the job we did for you in July and I'd like to briefly comment on the cost of moving where you graded us a 'B'. A 'B' grade isn't bad, nor is it great. Two things: (1) Our hourly rate for the 3-man team is about $25 less per hour than similar area/regional companies. (2) A few years back we were just a few guys and we could operate on a shoestring. We're in the big leagues now with insurances for liability, cargo and workmen's comp along with a bevy of employee tax add-ons like PA Unemployment Compensation; that forces us to charge more for our services. We're 'not in Kansas anymore'. Sorry but it's unavoidable. As always we do our best to keep your costs low. Thank you for calling on us to help and once more, thank you for your review. Joel

Description of Work: They moved me across town. Brought plenty of truck and guys, so I felt like our move was important to them. If I ad any complaint, they took about 6 months to cash our check. Only a problem with balancing the checkbook, but a bit of a pain.

There was a case last year where several credit card entries didn't batch correctly and it was a few months till we figured out which ones to rerun. This may be what you refer to. Description of Work: I had a lot of items to move, so it took two trips. The movers were on time, friendly. They worked quickly under very difficult circumstances. It was snowing and they had to move large appliances over old snow piles in the backyard and down many snow-covered steps. They shovelled and salted. They were very flexible and accommodating. They price was close to the original estimate and the difference was that the time to move took longer than the original estimate. | |Joel was very responsive to my emails and patiently answered all of my questions quickly and even picked up a new hose for me so we could attach the washer.

Description of Work: Joel and his team moved my furniture and boxes from my storage unit into my new house. total amount of items used to fill a 1 bedroom apartment. everything went smoothly, no issues, and they worked quickly. the team was polite and professional and i would definitely recommend them to others! also, on the front end, they were very easy to communicate with to book the move and responded very quickly to any questions.

I had a mover set up and they canceled out on me last minute. I called up BestDarnMovers and they were able to fill in rather quickly. I was very pleased with their how quickly they were able to come to my rescue.
Description of Work: In the heat of the day the movers took things from three floors and packed up all my boxes and furniture and then unloaded it all in the apartment.

They did everything very quickly. Joel was a little hard to get a hold of. They came in a little late because they were up all night moving someone else. It only took 5 and a half hours. They quoted me around $1000 but it ended up being under $600. They were extremely careful with all of my valuables. They didn't get in a hurry.

Picked Best Darn Movers directly from reviews on Angie's List. Emailed them and discussed our needs and sought out an estimate. Joel was quick & professional with his communications, and his price was more than fair for the job. We set a day and a time for making the move. On moving day Joel and his team were a little bit late arriving..BUT..He had the courtesy to call 2 hours early to say that the job they were currently working on was taking longer than originally estimated and apologized for having to arrive a bit later than planned. A mark of a true professional! When they arrived the load-out went very quickly and they were ready to go in a short time. There were a few problems getting into my son's apartment, and Joel and his team were prepared and took care of everything. These guys are great!! If you need a mover in northeastern PA, you need them!
Description of Work: After selling our home we needed to move our son into an apartment. Most of our home's furniture was being given to our son, so it was essentially a full-house move.

They were fantastic. They were recommended by one of my husbands students. They were just great. They were punctual and they did exactly what they said they would do. The price was less than the quote I received because they finished the job quicker than they expected. They made sure that everything was done well. They were willing to put things back together at the other end of the move, unlike other moving companies. They were caring about where I wanted everything in the house. I labeled everything and they made sure that everything got in the room that I wanted it in. They even arranged the things in the room like I wanted so it wouldn't be impossible for me to do later. They are by far the best moving company I have ever used.
