Description of Work: The work( heating repair) was performed on Oct 17 and besides $29 special deal, we paid $80 for the repair. I am satisfied because I hired another heating company (Green Electric Heating & Cooling) previously( Oct 14) through Angies special deal $29. They wanted $689 for parts. I felt it's rip off .

Description of Work: It was a big deal for a heating or cooling service call and diagnostic.

Description of Work: I called them about installing a window unit and the maintenance of the central AC. They had a reasonable price and they were polite and honest. I would work with them again.

Description of Work: After reading so e reviews on Angie's list, decides to hire Unique to fix air flow issue with AC as well as house not cooling off after running for 24 hours straight. Guy showed up and replaced air filter and was ready to leave. I asked him about the air flow, which was still the same as before he came, and he said that's just the way it is and nothing you can do about it. He then checked the refrigerant level and told me it was low so he filled it. Would not hire again.

Description of Work: I contacted the service provider to schedule a service call for a purchased BIG DEAL for "$29 for a Heating or Cooling Service Call and Diagnostic!". I was having difficulty with using my thermostat and wanted it to be replaced with one I had purchased. They claimed that the big deal was for a visit to diagnose & address a heating/cooling system related issue and said that I would have to pay the *full service call amount* plus labor or an extremely expensive flat rate installation fee plus labor. I have no problem with paying labor, but it felt like they were trying to con me with the "service call" vs "Service Call and Diagnostic".

Description of Work: My heater was not functioning properly and needed a circut board. They provided a reasonable price and installed the circut board. My heater now works flawlessly.

Description of Work: My furnace was removed from the center basement to a newly constructed room on the first floor during a Federal Flood Mitigation Project in February 2012. Right after installation the new heater had a very short on and off cycle. It was burning too much oil with the thermostat set at 68 degrees. The new room and kitchen were warm but the rest of the first floor of the house was getting little or no heat. Three times between March 2012 and February 2013 the County project administrator turned down requests by the project manager for heating system modifications which were recommended by the HVAC installer. Unique Indoor Comfort offered a heating system diagnostic deal for $29 which I took advantage of in February, 2013. First Jeff came out and looked things over. Then Brad Wealand, HVAC Solution Designer/Engineer, thoroughly examined, tested and wrote a diagnostic report about the heating system. He determined that the new heater and the installer's new duct were fine. The old ducts had too many turns and were the wrong size to accommodate the new furnace and new duct. Upon receipt of Brad Wealand's Report and my cover letter, the County project administrator relented and allowed the project manager to discuss modifications to the heating system with the project contractor and the HVAC installer. Money was released to pay for the agreed upon repairs. The repairs were executed last week. The system is functioning better now. If the County had not responded with repairs I would have hired Unique Indoor Comfort. If I were to have future problems with the heating system I would trust Unique Indoor Comfort to do the repairs.

Description of Work: I purchased two specials as I own a building with two furnaces. One of them needed further work and the company handled it. They cleaned the unit and realized it was emitting carbon dioxide and they had to shut the unit down. The gave me an estimate for repairing the unit. They came back during a scheduled time and repaired the unit.

Description of Work: Service provider came to service and clean both our units. Both were operating so it was a general service call. Very prompt and reasonalble would use again. Provider spent more time on downstairs unit than attic unit. Attic unit is hard to access and its extremely hot. Overall provider did a good job and came out quickly which is key. We would use again.

Description of Work: I was having trouble with my heating system not circulating to upstairs baseboards. Unique bled the zones and tried to find the source of the problem. Bleeding the system was unsuccessful as it was probably just my house and not the tech. The rep also checked the other pipes and couldn't locate the source. Additional time would have cost extra. All in all they provided excellent service and the tech was very professional and friendly and helped educate me on a couple of plumbing items . i would use the company again.

Description of Work: Mixed reviews. This company has been very helpful and at diligent in working with us to restore a 15 yr old furnace. But after 7 visits (each time they claimed the problem had been solved) there continues to be problems. The entire process has been draining, financially and emotionally, and we've now lost our rennet at the property because of the situation. I don't feel Unique deserves low marks based on their responsiveness and customer service, however, their overall expertise may be questioned.

Description of Work: Unique heating and cooling did an awful job with my thermostat. I asked them to install a nest thermostat. They said it couldn't be done. I subsequently did it myself afterwards and it was fine. They charged me almost $1000 to install five thermostats. One of them was not tested and shut down my system. As a result I had to have several other service calls and additional thermostats to have it fixed.

Description of Work: I had no heat due. It was a simple problem of a clogged duct which they fixed cheaply and quickly. They were prompt, smart and straightforward

Description of Work: We had a whole house humidifier installed. The installer arrived promptly, installed the unit professionally, explained how to use the unit, and left the area as clean as it was found. The unit has been working great since installation.

Description of Work: The person who came was very professional and detail. He did an excellant job. There was only one complaint however; when he was about to leave and for me to sign off on the work sheet. He added an extra $8.20 that caught me by surprised. He claimed that his boss asked him to do so but I refused because that have not been the custom from the contractors that Angie C0 have sent, He did not pressed the issue when I refused to pay. Description of Work: The company representative came to clean and check my furnace, and did an excellent job - he came on time, took the time to explain each task performed and why he was performing it, and completed the work in a timely fashion. I would not hesitate to recommend this company!

Description of Work: I am completely satisfied with the service we received. Mike, our technition, could not have been nicer. Kne wwhat was wrong. Lit the pilot, He recommended a furance cleaning, and did a great job. The cost was very reasonable. we would not hesitant to use this company for all our heating and AC needs.
