When I called to set up an appointment, I got a curt young woman who asked me what the problem was with my broken garage door. I said that my husband thought it was probably a broken spring. She asked me to go to the garage and tell her if any springs were hanging down anywhere. I replied that they were not, and she gave an exasperated sigh and said, "Then it's not a broken spring," and that the soonest they could have someone out was 1-2 weeks. (This is a 250 lb. door we have to lift up and down.) She suggested I try someone else, which was fine with me! I ended up using Precision instead. They were out in 2 days. The Precision repairman explained that I had the kind of garage door where the main spring was concealed in a tube that stretched the length of the garage door (turns out it WAS broken). When I told him about my call to the other garage door company, he said right away, "I bet it was Winfield. I hear that a lot." Don't call Winfield unless you want to deal with rude and unprofessional customer service people.
Description of Work: No service was provided because their rude customer service person said I should try someone else since she couldn't tell over the phone what the problem was and therefore couldn't provide an estimate. She told me to find someone else to repair the door.

The experience was good. They did what they said they were going to do. I did not have any hassles; it was fine and they were responsive. My husband compared a lot of prices and they were professional when I spoke with them on the telephone.
Description of Work: I used Winfield Garage Doors to put in a new garage door opener.

Very excellent work quality and professionalism. I'm very pleased with the results. I went with Winfield because they were very forthright about what I needed and didn't try to sell me a more expensive door that I didn't need. While it seemed like a lot of money at first, after shopping around my experience was that they are very much in line with the box stores and the value of dealing with the owners of the business out weighs any perceived savings you might get from say Home Depot. Since this is what they do, they wanted to make sure all my questions were answered and that I was happy with their work. They were answered and I am very happy with the installation.
Description of Work: Remove old garage door and install new one.
