GIFFIN CONSTRUCTION

RE: GIFFIN CONSTRUCTION INC. MY WIFE AND I HIRED GIFFIN CONSTRUCTION TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION OF A RAISED PANEL METAL ROOF. WE HAD COMPLETED NEARLY HALF OF THE WORK PRIOR TO CALLING FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE. I HAD BECOME ILL AND MY PHYSICIANS ORDERED ME TO STOP THE ROOF WORK MY WIFE and I HAD BEGUN. GIFFIN CONSTRUCTION’S WORK WAS IMPECCABLE AND THEIR CHARGES WERE EXCEPTIONALLY REASONABLE. IN FACT, THEIR ESTIMATE WAS ONE-THIRD TO ONE-HALF LESS THAN ANY OTHERS SUBMITTED. THE FINAL COST FELL MIDWAY BETWEEN THE SMALLEST AND LARGEST AMOUNTS THEY EXPECTED THE WORK WOULD COST. FURTHER, I FOUND THEM TO BE PARTICULARLY PROFESSIONAL. ESPECIALLY NOTEWORTHY WAS THEIR WILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE ME WITH EXTREMELY HELPFUL INFORMATION AND ADVICE ON PROJECTS I INTEND TO UNDERTAKE MYSELF IN THE FUTURE. THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL BUSINESS THAT REFLECTS THE HIGH CALIBER OF THE INDIVIDUALS PROVIDING SERVICES. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN A HEARTBEAT. THEY WERE FANTASTIC! Giffin Construction is very straightforward. They don't do repairs, so it was a mark against them. They do a good work.

The project went very smoothly and on the time estimated. Four crew members showed up on time and immediately began work. They stripped all old shingles, replaced the sheathing that was needed and layed the new felt along with much of the shingles on the first day. Only two of the crew were used the second and third days to due the flashing and remaining shingles. Cleanup of the stripped material was done quickly on th first day leaving only small pieces that had fallen behind and under plants around the house. While the crew worked they did answer some questions by me without hesitation and to my satisfaction. The result of the project is was the best roof ever on this house. Bob Giffin contacted us shortly after the completion to ask if we weresatisfied and if there were any issues. He did ome out on one occasion due to rai coming into the chimney. He inspected thye flashing and recaulked, but felt it was porosity of the old brick and recommended having it sealed. We did that the next spring which did solve our problem.
