I called Ed Harvey for a second opinion after I had a very expensive quote for a new circuit board. He came out as promised and checked out the whole system to confirm the board was the problem. Then he ordered the board and installed it two days later. Even with installation, it was less expensive than the first quote for just the circuit board. Will use him for our HVAC in future.

Ed Harvey came out promptly. It's so hard to find someone who works on steam heat anymore. We were thrilled to find him through Angie's List. Very nice.

My experience with E. A. Harvey was wonderful. My 2nd floor furnace unit was not operating and I have very young kids. Their bedrooms got down to very low temperatures at night which really concerned me. E.A. Harvey was very sympathetic with my situation and sent someone out to my home right away (the heating company that installed the units and was listed on the units told me they could get out to me in 3 to 4 days!). E.A. Harvey arrived on time and was very friendly. The technician was able to troubleshoot and correct the problem with the unit and restore heat to my 2nd floor. After fixing the problem he then completed the annual maintenance on all 3 units. Very nice experience and I would definitely recommend them.

There was nothing they could have done better. They were terrific from the initial phone call that I made until the gentlemen showed up to initially evaluate what the problem was. The owner of the company even called me to try and help me troubleshoot the problem which all the troubleshooting things I had already done. They were wonderful from start to finish.

I can't say enough nice things about Ed Harvey. He is very knowledgeable about steam heat and he may be the nicest person I have ever met, although his wife Bonnie is a close second. He always answers his phone personally. We had an issue with our steam radiators spewing water on Christmas Eve. When we called him, he answered his phone at 8pm Dec. 24, told us what to do and rang our doorbell to fix it at 8am on Christmas Day. The conversion of our burner from oil to natural gas took a long time, but he kept us informed at each step. Our chimney wasn't able to handle the exhaust, and it wasn't repairable, so he came up with a different solution which has worked wonderfully. Really, I have never enjoyed my contact with a home repair expert as much as with Mr. Harvey. My only complaint was that I had to call them two or three times to get them to send us the invoice!

He offered to come out on the weekend, we said we could wait. Came as promised, was efficient & explained everything easily, & was friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends.

The two-man installation crew completed the job in two days and we had cool air replacing an old, worn-out window air conditioner. As far as we can tell, their workmanship was first-class. Mr. Harvey must be swamped with work because he's a bit slow in responding to telephone messages, but customers must simply be persistent.

The complete experience from start to finish was excellent. After I initially called, a service call was set up immediately. When we discovered that my old unit needed replaced, the consultation was very prompt and informative. All my questions and concerns were patiently and thoroughly answered. The installation service was extremely timely, very professional and the cleanup was outstanding. The best part though was that every person in this company was so very nice, and it really was a pleasure having them work in my home. I don't think anyone could ask for a better company!!

I was convinced we would need a new c/a system as ours is aprox 25 years old. My own personal repair attempt was what convinced me that we would need a new unit. The quote was concise and fair, and he was on time. The quote was for $8000. He was friendly, quick, polite and professional. I will definitely use him again in the future. Update: Work was completed on 7/12/2013. Mr. Harvey was professional and courteous for the estimates. He explained the pros & cons of the various air conditioners and heat pumps. His prices were very fair and the installation was done with professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency. I would hire him & them again.

This was a great customer experience from the first contact. I found the people in this well-run small business responsive, punctual, honest, and pleasant. This is exactly the kind of service customers should always receive! Ed's systems recommendation was spot on, he was fine with my budget and didn't try to pressure me into buying a bigger system than I needed or to spend more money than my set budget. Bonnie, in the office, was easy to work with and very prompt in answering my questions and sending paperwork. Ed and Tom arrived on time and worked steadily all day until the job was done. They were professional, quiet, and very careful with my hardwood floors and carpets. They explained things they were doing during the install that I was curious about whenever I asked. Best of all, I have a new HVAC system that runs beautifully and has all the same labor warranties the other big companies offer. With E.A. Harvey, it is more than price, it is true service. I feel proud to have hired them and highly recommend them.

I needed to replace a boiler, so I had six different companies come out, look at my system and advise on what would be the best for my home. as well as give me an estimate. E. A. Henry was a clear choice. He took his time evaluating my system, answered all of my question, and gave me a system that I am well pleased with. They came out on the day scheduled, replaced my boiler in a respectable time and cleaned up after they were done. I will use him again in the future, and highly recommend him to others.

This past summer I came home one evening from a long day out to find my AC was not working. It was still scorching hot outside, and inside too. It was after hours so I called E A Harvey on the cell number provided on their answering machine. They got back to me right away, and at 8 am the next morning, there was Jim at my door, ready to figure out the problem, before his first scheduled call of the day. He checked the entire heat pump system, inside and out . He soon found that it was frozen up outside. He went to work immediately and in less than an hour the problem was solved and he was on his way. Great service at a critical time. Very prompt, professional, efficient and responsive to my emergency. I would definitely recommend E A Harvey, and in fact I already have.
