SPECIALTY PAINT & PLASTER

Did not respond to a phone call or 2, left us with no phone call, or anything for a week as to when he was coming back to do a room, called and said he'd be here in 2 hours, never showed up in 2 hours. Showed us trimming for the bathroom and said it wasn't in the contract to put it in. Which we discussed, but didn't get into his contract. Ceiling was supposed to be smooth is swirled. Had to clean up after some of the messes to keep out cat out of it. Is also a bump in the bathroom, like a rock or something under it. Also he had over booked his work, messed up his elbows, and was in a rush to get things done.

Russ did a great job! We received 3 different bids through a contractor, and his was the lowest, and we were also advised he specialized in this type of work. The job was a pretty extensive one, with significant amounts of wallpaper to remove and the kitchen had some pretty bad plaster damage that needed repair. He was very accurate in estimating the amount of paint we would need so we didn't buy too much. Our house is over 100 years old with a lot of original wood trim, and it was important that we kept the wood trim natural and that the paint job was accurate and clean. He did a very good job taping off the trim, and the walls look amazing - like a whole different house! In the kitchen, you can't even tell where the plaster damage was. When he was done with the job, he did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. We were out of town while all the work was being done, and all communication was done through a 3rd party, so I cannot comment on Responsiveness, Punctuality, or Professionalism. However - he completed the job just a little bet longer than estimated (which was not a problem because we were gone anyways at the time) and I was happy how it looked and how the house was clean when we got home. I will definatey use him again for additional rooms needing work!
